Я к сожалению не знал что его уже нет с нами!!! Очень грустно и жаль!! Вечная ему память, пусть ему земля будет пухом!!! I unfortunately did not know that it is no longer with us! Very sad and sorry! Eternal memory of him, let him rest in peace earth!
When people talk about great guitarist Jeff Healey is always left off the list. Until I remind them. I can listen to that Confidence Man riff all day long. Wish he was still with us.
Jeff was truly a unique and amazing artist... so sad we can't have more of him. My band Nuance did a live version that was so close to the original from Jeff, that I did a mix of the audio going back and forth from Jeff's to the live version of us. Check it out by searching "Wretchedvonkrank Jeff Healey & Nuance Remix"
@srtguy01 The song was actually written and originally performed by John Hiatt, who has written MANY great songs, but this song was done the ultimate justice by Jeff Healey.... a true classic
Thanks for sharing this video....he was an awesome talent and an inspiration to many musicians and fans everywhere. RIP Jeff..........he's in good company up there.
just look at him the life was so unfair with him getting him blind and he was still inpired for living...but look at the people of nowdays they kill them self for a lost love for an ex wife/girl/boy /friend and many other stupid reasons Sorry for my bad english :) keep enjoying life its short :)
@mrheavywall Norman Jeffrey "Jeff" Healey (March 25, 1966 - March 2, 2008) was a blind Canadian jazz and blues-rock vocalist and guitarist who attained musical and personal popularity, particularly in the 1980s and 1990s.
@lucianomil68 sadly he died from eye cancer the best guitar player that ever lived no one could copy his style he was a great man and that is an awesome song
@lucianomil68 Not only did he die cancer, but it's how he lost his eyesight in the first place either as an infant or a young child, Not Fare, Not Fare at all:(
@lucianomil68 Born in Toronto, Ontario, Jeff Healey was raised in the city's west end. He was adopted as an infant;[1] his adoptive father was a firefighter. When he was eight months old, Healey lost his sight to retinoblastoma, a rare cancer of the eyes. The eyes had to be surgically removed, and he was given artificial replacements.
@he was blind and had cancer of the eyes, it was a rare cancer, so sad,I miss him so much, his talent was incredible, god bless him, he's in gods hands now,,,,,,just talking about him hurts, i was a big fan!
@motherofthedrummer Your welcome ! It was a hard shot to get because Jeff was sitting down and lots of heads in the way but i think it turned out pretty good . I think this is one of jeffs last preformances live . Im glad i had a chance to capture it!
Jeff Healey is an amazing blues guitarist with so much soul & technique! We are very blessed to have had him for the short time here. He is surely in the afterlife jammin with Stevie Ray & smiling down on all of us! He lit the light inside our souls through the darkness he overcame in his blindness in life. Thank you we luv you!!! I suggested Johnny Rzeznik cover this song~he may be one of the few who could do this song justice!

Jeff, my heart bleeds for you baby. I wish I would have known about you throughout your career. You sing this song so well, and I'm so thankful God chose you to deliever this heart breaking piece to us. It is a beautiful love song, sung by a beautiful soul passing through life's journey. Such an impairment to have to deal with, a soul in darkness through blindness, yet bringing the rest of us a great light of soul soothing joy as we hear you play and sing dear chap. Love you Jeff.

Because he drank like a hole in the ground - he drank around 14 ½liter beers in one concert last time I saw him live in 2003 :) But it was a fun afterparty none the less.

It took him that fast though? Really? Just 7 months? That's hard to imagine. It must have been bad. What a tough life he lead with all the odds against him, yet he found a way to leave his print on our lives. What an inspiration.
Jeff always gave me goosebumps. He has quite the humor. What a great guy, his wife was very blessed to have had him in her life. His children must be very proud of their Dad. I will pray for Derek, his Son who is also blind. God bless them all. R.I.P Jeff.
