"HEY EVERYONE LOOK AT ME!!! I'M A BIGGER CURSIVE FAN THAN ALL OF YOU!!!!"
Seriously, this has nothing to do with just singing along. Every Cursive/Good Life show I've seen, I've been singing along to every word. However, when someone goes out of their way to make themselves stand out in a crowd, it's really fucking annoying.
the guy in the front row is the type of person who ruins shows. if you want a singalong go to dashboard confessional or an arena rock concert. back in 04 everyone was dead silent when i saw the good life. now douchebags like that are becoming the norm. stop.
I don't think a person truly into the music should ever be deemed a "douchebag". Sometimes a song just moves you and the only way you can show your appreciation is to sing along.
I was actually at this show and EVERYBODY was singing along. The band got really into and it was amazing energy. Sure, musicians want to showcase their music, which is PART of the reason of going on tour, but from what I've experienced at every Cursive show, these guys don't want to be on display.
Do you seriously have a chip on your shoulder over the way someone was reacting at a concert @Evildoodoer?
If you really had a problem with it you'd man up and say something in person instead of calling someone a 'douchebag' on the internet. You say that someone enjoying themselves somehow makes them pretentious, but what are you doing? You're claiming you're somehow better than them because you stand there disinterested! You, and everyone else, seem the only ones who have something to prove.

@alliesas How about we label him a douchebag for constantly fixing his hair throughout the song? Pretty please?

@litfuse007 Looks like he's just showing off for the little girl next to him. I bet she left him later and told him to keep his chins up.
