Im from this school and Im also on this video. I think our boys, as well as the teacher, did it the best as they could. It was a part of our Garden Party which we are having every year. We girls are singing a song Swing low sweet chariot which is sung in England. Another our teacher from England have tought us it. I hope you will all enjoy it. :))
I'm Maori and I aint mad at ya even the All Blacks don't do Ka Mate justice these days. I think that it's good for our culture to get as much exposure as it can and thanks for wanting to perform Haka I think it cool.
reply to all: I can only agree that we didnt performed it professionally, but we learned it only from youtube videos. And the man is from NZ (but not maori). He only wanted to show part of the culture of NZ. And we were only 15/16 year-old boys... For us Slovaks it is very exotic and unusual in contrary to our culture... hope you understand we couldnt learn it properly... And if it is so obnoxious for you I appologize.
gosh this is BAD really embrassing that guy leading is he really a New Zealand Maori or 'native speaker' I hav 2 really doubt that, sad thing is these young boys think they have learnt the haka but really they havent, though sum comments here are harsh in a way i agree with them
Who is this idiot they don't even no the words or actions properly. If that guy is actually a kiwi he is an embrassment to Maori dude doesnt no squat! if you don't no how to perform our action songs then don't do it crap video! the guy should be shot the clown!
You should have learnt it probably in the first place mate instead of asking for help now and its haka performer not dancer if you new anything about our culture you would no how embrassing this video is to me and my people...
i havent seen it before and Im not asking help or sth from such a jerk (you)
doesnt matter whether dancer performer or which **** he tried to show just a bit o´his culture and they had fun... its not professional dance or sth and everybody was happy bout just for this
bitch please you dont get it do you that's not a part of his culture because he was no where near to performing the haka, he didnt pronounce the words properly or the actions, how can that then be a part of his culture!what ever you think that was it wasnt the haka and yes it may have made them happy but to most New Zealand Maori including myself there would be nothing to be happy about with this performance...and i couldnt help but watch it since it had Haka as one of its search words!
daarock is a great name for you. Its what is inside your head boy!!!
This guy travelled across the world and shared a part of NZ with school kids and taught them something about your culture. It may not of been the best Haka in the world. at least he had a go!!!
He is a excellent ambassador for your country unlike you with your "rock" head comments. Your a poor ambassador for your country & more so for the Maori nation. Go & put your head back in the sand!!!!
Oh my, this brings back memories!!! lol
It was my last Garden Party at GBAS. (^v^)
