It's not the worst movie I've ever seen, but one of the worst war movies for sure. Story is ridiculous, the script is weak, and I can tolerate a little revisionism, but this movie goes way too far. Many Italians have come forward against this movie, including veterans of partisan groups. I have massive respect for all who fought in WWII (black, white, whatever), but black veterans deserve a much better movie than this...it's too evident in this film that Spike is just out for revenge...

I have 3 generation military relitives my greatgrandpa always told me stories of world war 2. and how the war where they were fight was bad but the war at home was worse because it's knowing back in your own country your treated like dogs your treated worse at home then at the war where you were saving inacent ppl and even doing that couragble act some will still try to put you below the standard. @gilbertrivas17 The hate that stem'd from their fear & jealousy.....it's a shame though. I remember an old 60s hippy saying that is rellevant even today...."live & let live". The interpetation is that everyone regardless of background or beliefs; should all live & work in harmony together, to acheive a common goal...."survival".

like it....believe it or not.....life would be so much better, if we all were unselfish, & trust worthy enough to depend on each other.

now i have nothing but respect for the black men who fought and died in ww1, ww2 and every other war, and thats why i think they deserve something better then this piece of shit, mess of a movie. Its so historicly inacurate. for one, Yes there was a horrible massacre at st. anna, wich was done by the waffe-ss. but the germans in this movie are whermacht. this just looks more like rambo then a serious ww2 epic.

I admit I didn't watch the whole movie, but I thought that the movie did a decent job at showing the difference between the wehrmacht and the waffen-ss. Like at the beginning battle scene where the officers and soldiers talk like eral people and show they're suffering from a food shortage. Meanwhile, the SS are shown as ruthless.

Actually the german soldiers depicted here, shooting civilians and for some strange reason running straight into enemy fire like idiots are wearing whermacht uniforms not waffen-ss uniforms. The massacre at st. anna was a horrible and coldblooded event and should have been showen in a correct and respect full way, not like THIS.
