I find the additional percussions a tad too intruding, I'd prefer them to be a little bit more restrained... But other than that, this is just awesome. I'm in the middle of a FFVII playthrough right now, I can just imagine my disappointment in the Jenova Absolute battle when I realize this isn't what's playing on the background :D
@9NightMare1 I love this version , without a doubt the best remastering of the piece I've heard (I especially love the brass) but I think it would sound better with the percussion in the middle section (glockenspiel?) and thought they would be better as timpani. I don't have a problem with the drums in the rest of the piece, although I understand they might be a bit too forefront for some.
@jomo999 No, the drums are just fine, I like their power. What I dislike is the chime, the tambourine-kind of percussion that sort of jumps out of the song and robs the other instruments of some focus. In my humble opinion, of course.
This is simply amazing! Is there any way you could remaster some of the music from FF8 as well? The fights against Edea, and Ultimecia are breathtaking as well. I for one would be a huge fan if you did!
Again, this is brilliant. FF7 would be even more amazing to play with your remastered music. I think you would definitely do FF7 justice with a complete soundtrack.
I didnt like the original version of this track cuz it always seemed lackluster in comparison too jenovas regular theme- but you changed that, this theme is kick ass now. Nicely done
Yes, I've noticed simular melodies in other FF pieces all around too. But any type of artist, musical or any other kind is going to have a "style" shall we say. That's why it is coherent.
The bass trumpets could be deeper, and instead of whatever you used for the climax i would use a piano or violin or something. Other than that, very good.
damn man, good job, what did u use to remake it? the orchestra sounds are amazing, the only thing was that the build up towards the chorus, needs to be more pumped. and use more symphony like u use in the beginning. ;) but awesome job
@ScSSwav I used a notation program called Finale to edit the sheet music, and two sound libraries - Colossus, and Symphonic Orchestra Gold. both by East West Quantum Leap =)
This sounds great. Nice job!

If it's possible you should remake the OSTs for 8 or 10. Maybe both

Listening to these orchestrated versions, does anyone else just begin to picture Final Fantasy VII The Broad Way Play? LOL XD
Or Is just me?

The perfect complement for this would be the Knights of the round summon.

This version is epic. It feels like the original, but sounds a lot better. Simply awesome. I'm going to edit this into a Dissidia replay.
