  • Enchanting song sang with feeling. Thank you for sharing.

  • @mrbarandca Thanks, it's one of my favorite songs and sort of has meaning to me because of how it pertains to some stuff a character of mine goes through in a book I wrote. :)

  • ...... could you try simple and clean you can find it on LOTS of kingdom hearts vieos

  • @ecompton531 I dunno, if there's a karaoke version available I might look for it. I've never heard of that song though.

  • @swankivy okay you could probaly look up thin music and lyrics

  • @ecompton531 What I mean is I'd have to find background music and learn a song I'd never heard before if I wanted to perform this, so . . . if that happens, I'm sure I'll post it. :)

  • You are very good. Not too light or breathy, like most. And not with too much gusto, if you know what I mean. Maybe a little bit louder. Don't be afraid! You're GREAT! :P

  • @Allison121497 Thank you for the compliments. I don't need to be told not to be afraid, though. I'm not afraid. Though if I sing too loud my mic cracks and buzzes, so there are limits to what I can do with digital recordings.

  • @Allison121497 Sorry! I completely understand about the mic!

  • I love your vibrato. :) Every since I began listening to opera, I've become obsessed with vibrato. Yours isn't too much (like Sarah Brightman in the beginning of Point of No Return from the Original Broadway Cast Recording, for example; everyword was overly vibrato-fied, I felt), it seems to fit the song.

  • @SilverInsanity Thank you. I do have some songs that I infuse liberally with vibrato (it seems to work for the delicate feeling I was looking for when I performed "Winter" by Tori Amos), but it's not something you need to slap on everything.

  • I think this is your best song.

  • @TheNerdyCanuck Thank you for listening to it.

  • awesome!

  • Yes, please sing a Ween song. That would be epic.

  • As I said to the previous commenter, there don't appear to be karaoke tracks for Ween (gee, I wonder why!) but I do have a crappy recording of part of a song. It involves me singing harmony with myself on "Don't Laugh (I Love You)." It is only a sound file, not on YouTube.

  • You have a lovely voice. I can't believe you like Ween. You don't strike me as a Ween fan. I like Ween, too. Please, oh, please sing a Ween song! XD

  • I haven't found any place that has Ween backup tracks, but actually, there is a place you can listen to me sing a Ween song . . . it's buried deep in my Web site. :) I'd give you the address, but you can't put those in comments here, so if you want it you can send me a message through the YouTube mail and I can provide. :)

I am a HUGE Ween fan. I have seen them in concert three times. You'd be surprised what I'm a fan of.

  • You have a very beautiful voice. You have a high voice and that's good because I don't like when girls have a deep voice. Do you write your own songs too?

  • Thank you for the compliments. I have written a few songs but I am not any good at it.

  • You seem like a very creative person. Is it always easy for you to come up with an idea for something and are you always satisfyed with your work. Whenever I write a song or something It's hard for me to finish it because I always find something that I don't like about it all the time and then I try to change it.

  • Yeah, I'm really creative--I've got a triple whammy. I'm a writer, artist, and singer, though the only one of those things I think I might do at a professional level is writing. (I made a little "movie trailer" type video about one of my novels if you want to have a look at the latest video on my channel!) No, I'm not always satisfied with my work, but my standards vary depending on the discipline and the intended audience. I'm not much of a musician so my standards aren't particularly high.

  • i like this kind of movies and the songs...great!!!!

  • Quite nice, this is perhaps the best I have heard your singing voice. A minor performance note, as you close to the r on the word December, you are hitting it quite hard. If you flip it slightly, like a highly restrained roll, it will eliminate this problem.

  • Thanks--I recorded the sound with my mic rather than the video camera, so the quality seems a lot better! (I didn't have to scream to be heard.)

Thanks for the advice on singing "r." Probably whatever you're hearing is just because I tend to be more cartoony with my pronunciation--more exaggerated, like the voice actors often do for their characters. In classical singing and pop and stuff, it's usually easier to get away from that, and I'll try to remember it if another opportunity manifests.

  • Realy great))))

  • Aw, cool, thanks. And thanks for the suggestion!

  • COOL!!!

  • Why do you act like a child?

  • I'm not interested in engaging you in a stupid argument, but if you'd like to ask a civil question without assumptions that just make you look like a judgmental ass, go 'head and try to phrase this in a mature manner.

Accusing people of being immature is something insecure, narrow-minded people often do, but I'm willing to answer if you'd like to form a coherent question.

Explain to me what you think constitutes "acting like a child" and why singing this qualifies, and I'll be happy to play.

  • Viewing most of your videos you seem to be preoccupied with childish hobbies, activities, etc.

  • Childish vs. childlike is a mistake many people make when they're not discerning or mature enough to understand the difference. I'm not unable to take care of myself, prone to immature decision-making, or failing to meet adult standards in my life, so my taste in entertainment or hobbies is irrelevant.

If you can't understand why interest in certain pursuits don't render me immature, I can't really help you. By all means, judge me if it makes you feel like a grown-up.

  • Well we all make judgements based on factual information, this is absolutely part of being a grown up. You seem to need some psychological help, actually I feel sorry for you, it must be difficult to be a child trapped in an adult body.

  • It's a widely noted phenomenon that our society's most brilliant and innovative contributors tend to have an ability to enjoy life with the wonder of a child. Some say it's indicative of a higher understanding when one can see the profound in the simple.

You've attempted to reduce my interest in cartoons to an immature outlook and a need for mental help, but that only shows the narrowness and rigidity of your worldview. I think it's sad how you pounce to judge me based on such poor reasoning.

  • Also, I really have enough to do without having to deal with trolls. I think I made my point.

  • kuuukukuku! if you could sing in japanese you could have sung keroro gunso intro song from season 1

    kuku!

  • I can sing in Japanese just as well as any other language. (Actually, I have performed songs in English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Latin, and an African language, and I have learned for fun songs in Japanese, Russian, and Romanian, though for some reason when I try to sing along with my Chinese pop I get lost.) Problem with performing anything is that I have to get a karaoke backup track for whatever it is.I am not familiar with "Keroro Gunso," though.

  • O_O OOOO i didnt know that! a woman with many talents :D nice! and keroro gunso is a bit like invader zim but LESS dark and more long winded sometimes but very good lol im watching it on here btw hehe i recommend it to u :D doesnt have karaoke backup track tho im afraid

  • swankivy!!! This was a triumph - I'm leaving you in my will. Peace.

  • Ooh, well . . . thank you? Heh.

  • You are so amazing. I was wondering if you can sing an old song for me. It is very old, but has special meaning. Both sides now by Joni Mitchell. I would love to hear it from you.

I know I can't expect it soon, but sometime in the future. You have a beautiful voice and I would love to hear it from you.

  • OMG, actually I know that song, but don't have the karaoke track. I wonder if I can find it somewhere? That is an AWESOME song!!! You're right! I could totally sing that one!

Thank you for the compliments. You're such a nice person.

  • SwankiVY does post! YEESSSSSS!

The entire SwankiVY fan army salutes you, especially the tireless soldiers in the Video Synch company.

Seriously, you have a beautiful voice and great visual appeal. You are the grown version of one of the most beautiful children ever.

Your video is just wonderful icing on my so far perfect cake of a day. Keep up the good work, please.

  • I appreciate that. (I guess I did an okay job with the sound editing this time then?)

Thank you for your kind comments. It's really, really nice to know that something silly like me singing into a camera actually helped improve someone's day!

  • I really like this song and you have a really good singing voice. Your voice matchs this song perfectly :3

  • Aw, thanks!! I do like to do songs that sound like this.

  • You just have a talent :D

  • That's nice of you to say. :)

  • Hello Ivy
