I've heard better performances. Chicago and San Francisco Symphony Orchestras do much better! This performance doesn't seem to give it the justice it deserves.

There is no definitive spelling for Tchaikovsky's name in the Roman alphabet that we use, since Russians use the Cyrillic alphabet. He is sometimes even referred to as Chaikovsky.
Wow! Rozhdestvensky really sets of sparks with this performance! How I would love to hear the preceding 3 movements... How the excitement of this recording can somehow come through the terrible speakers on this computer is beyond me, and must be 100% due to the magic of the performance.
In which hall was this taken? I looks like the Royal Albert Hall.
