  • - Hey man, looks dark down there in your hole.

    - Yeah, but life is what you make of it. I try to cease each day, "carpe diem"!

    - That's not going to get you out of your hole. It's nice and warm up here, want some help?

    - No, I don't need your help. Pff, I can live good down here and enjoy life as best as I can.

Sad, but the truth, about most people I know.

  • amazing, every religion attempts to set us free(of sin), but all of them fail, then comes a man named Jesus who makes the way for us by dying on the cross for us,salvation is a free gift, good works will not get us into heaven or else everyone would brag, but believing in faith alone in Jesus by grace we are saved, yet some people say that all religions are the same, clearly not, in the important basic teaching Christianity is unique, there is only one way to heaven and that is through Jesus.

  • Powerful ... to know and visually comprehend the magnitude of Love that it took for the Man to sacrifice so much and come rescue the man for Himself by coming down into the hole with him ... whew ... if I wasn't already today, I'm humbled now!!!

  • Beautiful story. Just beautiful! Only it doesn't explain that the man who lowered himself into the hole was actually responsible for the other man having fallen into the hole in the first place. So, first he pushes us in a hole, and then he rescues us from that hole. Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!

  • Wow it's amazing how many people actually misunderstand what the Bible teaches. It isn't God that pushed us in the whole. It was Satan. Earth and man were created to show the results of those who follow Satan and those who follow God... a vindication of God's name before the universe. Ignorance is no excuse for not understanding this BASIC premise of Christianity. Nice straw man argument though. Good attempt.

  • Look, I don't mean to offend, and I'm sorry if I caused your defenses to go up. It's just that I served the Lord for 28 years of my life and I saw the flaws slowly trickling in, because I became less and less afraid to critically examine the Christian faith. Let me explain my position and then you can do what you want with it:

God created a perfect world, and put two vulnerable people in it, along with an evil creature knowing full well what would happen. How is it NOT his responsibility?

  • 1) It is God's responsibility. Bible makes it very clear God takes full responsibility for everything in the world.

    2) You and I and earth were according to the Bible were created to vindicate the name of God. Why do you think Jesus died on the cross for us? Why do you think God gives us the Holy Spirit to guide, instruct and make us right along with the Word of God when we ask Him too.

  • 3) The ways of Satan and the ways of Christ are what is on display here for all the angels and unfallen worlds to see and understand before Jesus comes the 2nd time and makes things right again.

  • That is what the Bible teaches. From your statements is as if you did not understand this or perhaps understood it differently or are trying to trivialize the grand truth of the matter? Which is it?

  • Bible makes it clear that IF Adam & Eve had simply trusted in the simple Word of God, they would not have fallen from the presence of God. God is giving Satan enough time so that everyone can see what rebellion from God causes and how good His ways really are.

  • @Decibel33

    Easy.

Because MAN chose to turn from god and get a taste of (excuse the pun) knowledge for himself.

and turn away from the God that created them.

I can't for a secnd believe that you followed Jesus for 28 years and don't even understand the fall of man.

Its not Gods fault at all, its mans fault, and Satans, but he was cast down upon the earth because he wanted to be God in heaven and have more power than the Creator.

  • Even if God had never put a tree in the garden, it would have just been a matter of time before man sinned. It truly is our nature to do what we want.

I wonder what kind of church you went to for 28 years?

  • @idetestpasswords I went to a Mennonite church, very conservative. Mostly comprised of fundamentalists. And yes, it really is in our nature to do what we want, one of which is to create gods in our image.

  • @Decibel33

*I am so grateful to have attended a church that didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth.

    * You said ' which is to create gods in our image' do you mean that humans have invented the concept of God?

    * And can I ask where you live?

  • A few issues:

-The narrative of Christ's "actions" are no less metaphor than what the other men proposed. This video portrayed him lifting the man out of the hole, but unless he really physically did that for someone, his offerings do not exceed those of the other men.

-Many, if not all, of the other men were also *believed* (key word here) to have been present on earth at some point in time. Christ was not the only one of these men to meet the common man on their level.

    Character count reached

  • You Totally missed it:(

  • @paintitpurdy: care to elaborate on that?

  • The 3 desert dogmas christianity/ Judaism & islam have been responsible for more bloodshed, cruelty and intolerance than any other religion before. What they say and preach is one thing but what they actually have done is very different. The bible both, old and new is an interesting book if your a sadist or want to be the ruler of a desert tribe but has nothing to do with personal enlightenment or spirituality in "my humble opinion"

  • Much of what you say is true, but what does any of that have to do with Christ and His teachings. All you've done is present arguments against those who have misundestood or miused/misapplied the teachings of Christianity. And any personal enlightment or spirituality that presents itself to a person stemmed in love, comes from God through the Holy Spirit. People have much to praise and thank God for regardless if they don't acknowledge the God of the Bible.

  • Bible tell the truth... It's not sadist, but it shows how God loves us and will not let the "Bad one" triomph on Earth.

Religions are ALL bad. What we need is a persoinnal relationship with God, not a religion!

Jesus came on Earth to die for US... He didn't ell us what to do, he showed us... It's better that a preacher who say something but do the opposit, as there's a lot of person doing it in the world...

  • @sigismund0 "The 3 desert dogmas..."

Wow - that doesn't betray your anti-religious prejudice or anything, huh??

OK - here we go. There has been "religious bloodshed" throughout human history and likely before. But NONE compares to the bloodbaths and outright animalistic behavior of godless atheists in the 20th C.

In less than one century some 100 MILLION were slaughtered to promote atheism and it's offspring, socialism and communism.

Without faith in God, humans are ABSOLUTELY corrupt.

  • Christianity since its conception as the state religion of rome in about 300ad was not designed with these ideas in mind however. examine the life and times of a few popes most of them were far worse than the former pagan Caesars/emperors/kings of rome. more parties / orgies / bloodshed and cruelty.

this religion was designed to control people. and especially what was left of the roman empire, The religion was designed to enslave you spiritually not set you free, divide and conquer the mind.

  • I agree, erroring men did use religion, Christianity in particular and mixed in their own pagan ideas in order to control the masses. This is why the common man wasn't even allowed to read the teachings of the Old & New Testaments, for it would reveal the errors of many who claimed to be "clergy".

  • Not hardly. Before the Edict of Milan in 313 ad - Christians were treated like rodents, killed wantonly by almost everyone from Jews, pagans, and Romans.

If you get the math, that means Christians persisted under threat of death and torment for over 300 years. Rationalize that please.

Yes, there were issues after Rome morphed Christianity into the Roman Catholic Church, however, as a pragmatist, I recognize this protected some social order and preserved essential elements of the faith.

  • I wonder which religions you studied and to what extent because i would love to know how you come to the conclusion that Christianity is unique. perhaps the teachings of 'christ' were unique in that he preached peace, love, forgiveness and that to harm another is the same as harming yourself, although i think you may find a few other cultures around the world at the time and even today also promoted this type of ideology.

  • What ultimately convinced me that Christianity is the truth, is the person of Christ, His teachings, and how tightly woven so much of what was taught in the old testament prophetically pointed to the ministry of Christ, I was a bit skeptic until I studied the timeline prophecies (not just those that most consider "vague") and how they in specific detail predicted the dark ages all the way to modern day. I've studied budhism, hinduism, and a # of other religons, none compare to Christianity.

  • complete tosh how any educated person cant see through this crap i will never know

  • U are correct, you will never know until you choose to investigate ALL of the evidence for Christianity for yourself. Ex: I did not willingly become a Christian until my adulthood when because of circumstances I decided to investigate religon(s) out of curiosity. Christianity stands on its own as unique and distinct. *My opinion*

  • Awesome.

  • I love this video! Christian studies teacher made us watch it. So funny. XD "A man fell in a hole.. and he couldn't get out." and "But the man who did not exist, was still stuck in the hole that was not there." but why did the rescuer go into the hole? what if the rope broke. then they'd BOTH be stuck in the hole.. and who carries a giant cross with them everywhere? and who dug the darn hole? (oh wait.. sorry. that was humanity and their sins!! x.x) Most perfect hole ever. Embrace the hole!!

  • haha lol yer that was a funny lesson.

  • This is contrary to what the Bible tells the Christian friend. What you preach is partial truth and new agey.

  • Amen. its crazy how ppl want to create their own heaven here on earth when God has made kingdom that no man can even think up. I dont wanna be on this earth, i wanna see what God has prepared for me with His immense power.

  • That's a pretty dry statement w/o any explanation. What's the contradiction? What is the partial truth, what's the missing truth? What in the world is new agy with this???

  • Wish I could tell you but I can't see the statement made by LivingFit365 any longer to which my statement was addressed to.

  • I used to think that until I realized that philosophy is self-contradicting. Truth, on the other hand, is ALWAYS true.

Sin is our spiritual condition outside of Christ; we are all born into sin and separated from God.

Apart from Jesus Christ, there is no reconciliation w/God.

Beliefs don't change truth -- they only change our behaviors.

    Ask, seek, knock.

  • I LOVE YOU JESUS!

  • i dont get it, cuz if this was christianity then jesus should be in the hole instead of the man at the end.

    whats this lol

  • It's symbolic of what Jesus does for sinners. He does not force himself on others, He asks you if you want to be saved, and as long as you willingly want Him to save you (repent, trust and obey, He does and will.

  • so this man god (jesus), creates adam with sin, and i inherit it even tho i didnt do it, and then this man god jesus comes and save me from the sin that he condemned me to, and he does that by killing himself? crap am lost, plz guys talk some logic here

  • No. God (Father, Son & Holy Spirit) created man with the ability to choose & think for himself. Satan (who was once called Lucifer and was a mighty angel by the throne of God before rebelling in heaven) tempted & tricked Eve who then tempted Adam ( who willingly disobeyed God) & since then, Satan has been in charge of this world only for the time period set so that all the universe can see what disobedience to a Holy & Perfect God creates. Trusting and obeying Jesus is the only way back to God.

  • Beautiful video, just amazing

  • it's like a no brainer

Do you want to be set free?

    Well YA!

    Then He helps us out

    Jesus rocks!

  • @Monica15N

I really don't think people consider it as simple as u calm. For it's like asking a depressed or low self-esteem person if they would like to receive counseling or get help. An most often people become way to comparable with their situation they lower classify its seriousness . So much that like the false suggestion the man in the hole first received. They believe they can either ignore it or live with it.

  • All humans are in this condition; none seek after God, but He sent His son Jesus anyway to bring us to salvation. Not by works so that no one may boast, but by His strips (sacrafice) and grace (which we don't deserve) so that the "elect" will have salvation as foreordained by Father God. The sad news is, no one in the hole (a representation of the fallen world) wants out of the hole unless the Holy Spirit draws us to God's Son Jesus - the only way to heaven. Are you one of the "elect"? Seek Me.

  • holy cow you're seventh day adventist? or at least you know enough about them to tag it as a label to this vid.. I'm SDA too, that's really sweet

  • Yes I am a Seventh-day Adventist. God Bless brother! :) Too many people I'm seeing on youtube continually think because we obey the 10 commandments (all of them including the 7th day sabbath command) that we obey to be saved. Let this video be a lesson to all. We obey God out of love and Christ gives us grace to do so because He has saved us and we do not want to "fall" back into the "hole of sin". Thank God we can confess and ask God for forgiveness when we do fall. God is good!

  • well i'm not a brother, rather a sister, but right on!

  • lol my bad :) God bless ya sister!

  • Awesome video...thank you Jesus for getting me out of that hole, when no one else could.

  • wow!

  • This was awesome. Putting it on my favorites. Christianity leads to Heaven.. no other religion gets you anywhere

  • I was not expecting this to be a tear jerker. praise Him with song ... seek Him in all things. What you cannot do, He can do in you.

  • This is beautiful! Thank you so much for posting it! Really - lots of hugs and stuff!

    :0)

  • The first couple of guys also need to be in the hole

  • Actually, they already are, they just don't know it.

  • Nice video. Did you make that yourself?

  • Yes it is. No I didn't make it. You can get it at bluefishtv(dot)com

  • Interesting the only thing they forgot was that after the man was blinded by the light of the sun he wanted to go back in the hole to protect his eyes. Yet after he was convinced not to, he started grumbling about the heat of the sun and continued to look down at his hole wanting to be in the hole's shade.

  • Amen brother. Once Jesus saves us let us all continually look to Him lest we fall back into the hole or worse, CHOOSE to go back in.

  • awesome video

  • Amen! What a beautiful parable!

  • Great video! Thanx Bro!

  • You're welcome. God Bless.

  • I knew what was the climax of this movie, but still it took me by surprise. A most wonderful presentation of the truth. Saved by Faith and faith alone.

God Bless and happy sabbath in a couple of days!

  • Amen!

  • I love it!!!!
