  • damn harrison ford is young

  • Hey, that's a tough looking girl you got with you, man. What are you doing, trying to pick up a few extra bucks baby sitting?

  • that black 55 chevy is bad ass,.

  • 10 people are stupid

  • Field Car..........Is It a MUSCLE FIELD CAR ??? It IS a chevy alright !!!

    Time to "GET AT IT"

  • Falfa rules!

  • whats the name of this song, and whos it by?

  • @random4683 The song's Do you Wanna Dance by Bobby Freeman.A top 10 hit in 1958.

  • my dads name is John Milner :D lol

  • yeah, but he's stupid.

  • I'll bet that 55 made the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs.”

  • this is my favorite part of the whole movie

  • DR. RICHARD KIMBLE RACING ? WHAT A DUMBASS DRIVER.

  • Milner (Piquet) versus Falfa (Mansell). =p

  • gransissimo Le Mat !!! uno dei + bei film mai prodotti negli Stati Uniti

  • @KyleGibbons91 agreed

  • brilliant film

  • The famous drag race on Paradise Rd used a bogus 55 with silver painted stamped out stock rims, still it was a very well done scene. If it were today....well you can count on it being over done, it might have blown up like a daisy cutter and flipped about 40 feet in the air end over end . The dialogue between Toad and Milner after the race totally was ad-libbed. Milners license plate THX-138 is seen at the beginning of Lucas's films and is the title of one of his films. Lucas is brilliant!

  • It's the fastest ship in the galaxy......

  • And what has this to do with graffiti?

  • ford power! too bad the 32 didn't really have a ford motor in it... still cool as hell

  • @draecox38 Built Ford Tuff with Chevy stuff.

  • @woodzo40

I'm a diehard ford man but your right this 32 Ford was equipped with a 327 small block.

  • @daniel60 Yup im building me a clone of it. Holy wood said it was a 283. wrong. 327 t10 trans with a 57 chevy rear end and a 40 ford rear spring.First year for a 327 was 62. I guess milner had a brand new motor in that hot rod lol.

  • "feild car ' A car that drives around droping cow shit every were HAHA!

  • lol classic Harrison Ford

  • Ive just read that one of the most important things about this film is that it recalls exactly what it was like to be alive at that point ...... can anyone say they were around then and if this is true ???

  • @williamjamesbrow01 LOL that's a good question

  • Punch it Chewie!

  • that 55 was fast by ANY standard it is or was a legit 10.90 car 30 years ago-BIG BLOCK CHEVY ALL THROTTLE NO BOTTLE!

  • @badmts I love big blocks. That '55 had a 454 in it and was wicked. Although they couldn't say it had the 454 in the movie, since the 454 wasn't even out yet in the time that the movie is set. lol.

  • Even by todays so called..........."muscle car standards'....that 55 chevy is still kick ass! I'd put it up against a brand new mustang, Vette, charger, or Camaro of today anytime.............and that 55 Chevy was put together over 40 years ago!

  • Vanishing Point is the king of all of them but Toyo Drift is a joke hahahaha

  • Chewie the power coupler is depolarized again!

  • another good older car movie is hot rod 1979

  • LaMott = great actor. From all reports, a stand up guy, too

  • american graffiti is why i buy my ford 1930, i wil build it like 50s style hot rod!

  • @KyleGibbons91 Faggity ass fag fucker fuck!

  • Cowboy there runs red lights like he was from Albany NY.

  • Crazy Bob's Harvest Moon Drive-In Theatre, on US RT. 220 (I-180) between Williamsport, & Jersey Shore, PA. On Sept 4th, 2011 we're showing American Graffiti (Ron Howard, Harrison Ford 1973), Two Lane Blacktop (James Taylor, Warren Oats 1971), Viva Knieval (Evil Knieval & an all star cast 1977), & Cleopatra Jones (blaxploitation starring Tamara Dobson 1973).

  • no doubt the duese would take it,,,,22222

  • LMAO @ go Yankees!! Brilliant!!

  • the original Fast n furious movie it was all about rep not about pink slips...

  • that 55 owned ole John

  • @subfourrun i like john, and i would hope that it would because that 55 had a damn 427 in it, which by the way wasnt around in 1962. in real life 1962 that 55 woulda had no chance. that light ass 32 ford with a 327 would of waxed a 55 all day long. milner all the way.

  • @trademark1994 ...well I learned something today!

  • 1:57..The Jack Hammer!

  • yeah, but he's stupid......classic!

  • The 32 is In San Francisco and the 55 Is in Maryland and Yes they were badass cars The 32 has 66 327 with fuelie heads and a sixpack with super T-10 4spd and 4:11 gears and The 55 had a 454 and a TH400 with a 12 bolt rear with 4:10 gears it was also used in the movie Two Lane Blacktop

  • now those where cars

  • ......there went that bad ass Chevy.............

  • Harrison Ford as a very young man

  • Best scene of the whole movie; technically proficient pickers' sons, baiting each other riding hand selected best pieces of equipment ever to come out of detroit.

  • Best scene of the whole movie; technically proficient pickers' sons baiting each other riding the best equipment ever to come out of detroit.

  • Your car's uglier than i am!

    LOL

  • funniest part of the whole movie....thank you GL

  • And fi you decide to take on a hot rod project, do us all a favor and don't use bondo. Fabricate and weld in patch panels (the right way), then use lead as filler just like in the good old days.

  • Great movie, great car. Video Suggestions: 1: American Graffiti at the Capri 2: cruisin' in coldwater

  • In real life, the car Falfa drives was easily the fastest, it was a beast that could do 11 second quarter mile times (quite something for 1973). That's quicker than many modern performance cars including the Corvette Z06, Mitsubishi Evo or BMW M3!

  • Fuck imports damn Mexicans and rap music and I'm 18 haha I listen to johnny be good cruesing in town in my 68 chevelle that has power and not a Honda that runs 16 sec 1/4 mile

  • American Graffiti and Two Lane Blacktop: The two greatest car movies ever made. Well....maybe Bullit with Steve McQueen, too. The newer car movies aren't even real, just special effects. Tokyo Drift.....what a joke!!!

  • @1bountifulinc I recently found out Tokyo Drift was based off of a video game

What the hell were they thinking.

  • @1bountifulinc ...... whilst I agrees with you, I kinda prefer that, cause then no classics get destroyed ............. in theory.

  • Field car! ha ha ha.

  • If lucas made this today itd be shot against blue screen and not make any sense.

  • Love this film!!!!!!!!!

    Milner <3<3<3

  • Damn right he's stupid. I can't believe that sort of macho bullshit is still going on with teens today!

  • @messybluesboy371 You're right, that macho stuff isn't going on with teens today. Most of them are Justin Bieber-worshiping faggots with cute hair and shaved chests.

  • What the fuck happend to America?

  • One of the all time Great Movies... And No.. Supras and Fast and Furious crap.. It's American Gtaffiti and yesterday muscle cars all the way..Not Pep Boys and Wazu pipes..

  • Ele é rápido mesmo!

    É, mas é burro.

  • and no if you gonna remake it then reamke a newer version with all different kindds of rides in it and throw in some diesel trucks and shit for us rednecks

  • @MrBrockberg r u a good ol redneck?

  • @jaytotheell yes but i will watch and dont mind imports . just this is what the 50s-73 was all about

  • well actually milners coupe got a hopped up 327 chey motor in it and the 55 has a L/88 427 vette motor or some other cars got a 454 in it . just watch two lane blacktop that falfa same car

  • Nope you see they should remake the fast and the furious all over again with Dom's charger vs brians Supra, if they bring that last race back to the new Fast five it will complete the series and celebrate its 10th anniversary since 2001. They should remake that last part in the last 10 minutes of the movie for the the new fast five that way it completes the series. come on i mean everyone knows that the fast and the furious was first watched and popularized by dom's charger.

  • harrison ford

  • @goYankees...that funny shit right there!!!!!

  • They should make a modern Version of American Graffiti just with a Supra vs an RX7 or an EVO vs an STI

  • @MrTylerdurden55 Yeah it's called fast and furious :(

  • @97markviii Yeah but the Fast and the Furious was more about cops and smuggling than it was racing. This movie was all about racing and crusing with your cars. That should remake a modern version with Import tuners

  • @MrTylerdurden55 Or better yet, today's culture should adopt cruising and drag racing as pasttimes like in the 50s and 60s. Its still in existence, but not as strong as it once was.

  • @divebomber101 well yeah but it will just be with modern Import cars instead. because no one can afford those old cars. But its the same thing just now we have STis, EVOs, Supras, SIs. etc.

  • @MrTylerdurden55 Nobody can afford those old cars? You have no idea what you're talking about. I just did a quick search on craigslist (took two tries in nearby areas) and stumbled across a 1947 Dodge Coupe for $350. No motor or tranny but that's the way I prefer it to be honest. A little work, but if you know cars and aren't afraid to get dirty, a little resto and swapping in your favorite drivetrain is a cakewalk. Thank you for inspiring this post, though. I may have to buy that Dodge.

  • @jamesandrewjohnson its good that you found one, were I live the cheapest classic I ever seen was a 50's De Soto that went for $4000. The insurance would still be to high for any teen though. I can barely afford to drive a stock Civic. Its close to $300.

  • @MrTylerdurden55 Well I guess I'm just lucky, then. Really does depend on where you live, I'm in Iowa, so we have plenty of old cars. Someone needs to keep muscle and hot rods alive, though.

  • @jamesandrewjohnson Out west almost all of the classics are customized so they are really expensive and Insurance is high as hell so most teens have no choice but to use an import.

  • @MrTylerdurden55 Well that's gotta suck. Most cars around here are barn finds or have been sitting in fields forever. Not really any custom shops around or people with enough experience to build a hot rod, either, so they pretty much stay stock.

  • @MrTylerdurden55 Hey Get Classic Car Insurance, IMPORT? Is that a car? Just a Joke!

  • @MrTylerdurden55 New Jersey the Highest Auto Insurance in the nation $1200 and up, and as far as Hot Rods & Classics we only have so many months a year to drive them. Grundy Classic Auto Insurance!

Only pay for what the car is worth. Check it out... David

  • @sixtiesforever1966 wow I thought out west was bad! I wonder what a teen would have to pay in Jersey?

  • @MrTylerdurden55 if they used imports, they'd need to call it Jap Crapfitti

  • the greatest scene from the greatest movie of all time. i saw this movie for the first time as a little kid and it made me into the motorheaded hot rodder iam today. heck i even had a falfa 55 chevy clone for a while. you know i have watched this movie probably a thousand times it seems like, but this scene stills gets me every time. its somewhat poetic as the milner character is realizing his time at the top is just about over, hes getting older and time is marching on.

  • nothing wrong with fibre glass hot rods, this day in age the more the BETTER, keep it alive. Please just don't build a ford a put a chev engine in it. God bless

  • @sandyfunk1 sorry but i am. Milner clone all the way baby. 57 chevy rear end also. Built Ford tuff with Chevy parts.lol.Im sorry i dont want to walk.

  • Someone brought up a great point. The 55 in "Graffitti couldn't have had a big block in reality. The best would have been a 327 with 2- 4's. We all know the movie car had a 427/454 but they weren't yet available in '62. So both cars with Chevy mouse power would have been a great race. The Coupe should have won due to less weight, but the 55 could have had better gears. Both Graffitt and Blacktop are great movies. Just watched Blacktop again last week. Still a cool movie.

  • @rockinredneck57 Good point, although in '62 it is possible someone could've gotten ahold of Chevy's "W" motor, which just that year was released with a dual quad setup with revised heads. In fact, ERTL made models of the graffiti cars which features the 55 chevy having one of those motors, rather than the 427 or 454.

  • "I can't keep track of all you punks runnin' around backwards.'

  • lol..watch ( two lane blacktop ) the 55 chevy in two lane is the same one used in american grafitti. just with a different scoop and tires. dont believe me ?? look at falva's bumper. how its mounted. kinda high isnt it .. also look at the rear fender wells. kinda round right ?? for those big slicks

  • GAAAWWWD that five is so damn sexy , its so much cooler than the ford.

  • 55 chevy bored out to a 468 with 600 hp

  • 55 pure mean muscle but the hihg boys bitching

  • Amazing Harrison Ford ever got another job after this performance.

  • Milner was not racing in this one as still had his arm out the window, thus still crusing

  • you are Uglier than I am !

    1970's hate em all Harry

For UK viewers . Get im in the car George , You are Knicked !

Reagan and Carter Beats Sonny And Cher [ Crockett ]

I watched the movie and dont get it.

  • Love that movie, the 55's running the same engine as in "Two lane Blacktop" , just a different transmission. 454 with a M21.

  • I want to know what the engine specs were in Falfa's car!!?? Sounds like a 396 with a throaty CAM and??!! I have a SBC 350 with bowtie heads and a Mert-Littlefield 471 Blower and it sounds like a SCREAMER!!

  • @WinstonsPapa same car in two lane blacktop

  • I want to know what the engine specs were in Falfa's car!!?? Sounds like a 396 with a throaty CAM and??!!

  • I do enjoy this movie or film should I say.

  • Yaaaaa..But he's Stupid

  • I'll take that white T-Bird, cruising

  • MILNER IS SO SEXY

  • these old movies much better and more real then fastnfurious ones the fast n furious movies they didnt even really drive real cars they was fakes they was just pretending,,...made us all think they was for real...these classics were real and cool....

  • i raced pinks with george in the valley

    black beat yellow !!

  • hey look at 1;42 at the light its there then when they take off its gone lol

  • yellow is american!!

    love it!

  • The only thing I can see wrong with this scene is in '62, most hot rodders that had enough money to build a badass 55 chevy would have just took that same money and went down to the Chevy dealer and ordered a stripped down 4 speed Biscayne with a dual quad 409. 55 chevys had more appeal in '72, when this movie was made, than in '62.

  • John and Carol were the best in the movie.

I laughed my ass off as They were cruising together.

  • hey, it's no wonder Milner got beat, that guy's ride made the kessel run in...shit, wrong movie.

  • @goYankees19

  • @midnightcaller200. Cruising is dead in my town, one gets caught making 2 laps around the circuit and it will garner you a hefty ticket. Only once a year does our town put on a "pretend" cruise, it's staged on two back streets with a police escort and supervision with a few dozen cars. Pretty much a neutered affair, and nothing like days with thousands of cars and tens of thousands of people.

  • can kids cruise today or has cruising been nuked?

  • Big daddy, I hear ya on the speed shift goose bumps, I can still hear them in my memories from the local dragstrip back in the day.

  • harrison ford

  • I know what you mean, I have a Muncie M-22 in my 64 Olds, got to love the sound of those square cut gears. Music to my ears!!!

    Happy Days !

  • somewhere there is a universe where Harrison Ford wasn't cast as Falfa, or Han Solo, and Burt Reynolds was. This happens to be the same universe where Star Wars flopped at the box office.

  • oh jojo,,,,, i am just saying i LOVE the 1950's....... and the 1960's too for that matter, heck i love the 1070's too, haha,,,,,,,,,my all time FAVORITE MOVIE IN THE WORLD !!!

  • @matrixfoxtard um i told u to watch the movie and um yea i do have a life unlike ur bitch ass get blocked little douche

  • Reminds me of the old street racing days!!

  • @rockinrednecks57, They never do mention anything in the movie. However in reality that car has a tunnel rammed 454 with 2 four barrels.

It was one of 3 cars built for Two Lane Blacktop in 71.

  • OMG! I would kill for things to be that way today! Cruisin the streets and just hangin wtih friends. I thought it was so sweet how John stuck up for Carol, even though she got on his nerves I think he had a sweet spot for her. I know this might sound weird but I was kinda hopin they would get together lol

  • There's a

ilner clone by my house I might be able to ride in it,My dad just met the owner

  • Where were you in 62 ?

  • God I love that sound of Falfa's car blowing through the light!!!!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

  • @Raging64 i like it when it shows the cars side by side and you can hear the 55 speed shifting to 3rd,it gives me chill bumps.

  • I love that movie. I still cruise there on that road every summer with my muscle 1963 chevy with over 500 horsepower.. I love those muscle v8 cars. not those import cars whatever u guys call it.

  • @MrZrazies u mean fartcan ricers,I agree

  • @84Bronco351 LMAO! Yeah, I love to feel all V8 engine rumble on ground than hearing those high pitch EEEEEEEEEE from those fartcan ricer, what u said. My truck always make all car alarm come on in parking lot. It made all stuffs on wall in garage moving. I love that

  • @MrZrazies UYea,plus a hot rod/Muscle does real burnouts

  • MILNER RULES!

  • i wish people these days would do crazy shit like that a good old muscle race and both are sexy looking cars best part of the film LOL! UR CAR IS AS UGLY AS I AM!!!

  • This was my favorite part of the movie, "I heard u were the fastest thing in the valley but that can't be ur car it must be ur mamma's car" lol If our Streets were more like this today people could actually have fun. And I always wanted a car like the 55 bel air. I'm not sure what kind of motor it has but my guess would be a 427 with open headers.

  • @caddy1119 I think in real life it does have a big block, but in '62, the 427 was not yet born. The 32 Ford has a 283 Chevy in it and back then the 55 would have had at best a 409 or a 348 Truck engine. So, for the movie, they both probably had the same engine. Although, the 55 could have had a big Caddy motor in 62. I'm not sure it's ever said or seen what the 55 has in it.

  • @rockinredneck57 your right about the chevy 427 but not so correct about the small block being in the deuce..the small block chevy was around since 1955

  • @ishredu the deuce had a smallblock
