hah, this was also the first thing I tried when I set up my KP3... It's pretty fun to do some Jamie Lidell / Mike Patton style riffs with your mouth with a few tight 1 beat loops, and an expressive longer loop for variety.
Do you only need the speaker set? I have orderd my Kaoss pad a few days ago,but some people say I also need to buy a pre-amp, i'm al little scarred for that because does things are very expensive :P but you only use a speaker set? please answer!
hello : ) the KP3 suports a headphone and rca output. the headphone output is the big plug but all headphones do usually come with that adapter. i used a cheapo pc speaker set through the headphone output. you can plug the kp3 in your big stereo with the rca`s. for home use fine enough - its a different thing if you want to do stage shows of course but the venues do have the big speakers then ! have fun : )
k i may sound like an idiot here...but...how do you run samples loaded on the pads from the beginning after you have began playing and want to go back..it seems to just pause them and play from where you let off...
well the KP3 has some options here. the normal set up is "mute" meaning you can mute unmute by pressing a pad but the sample keeps running. there is a setting to make it a real start stop but i didnt work with that so much. and you can make it oneshot meaning it starts when you push it but it doesnt loop.
i think so yes. but it is possible on the KP3 directly so you can switch without editor (live). but i dont know how or where as i only use it with the normal "mute / unmute" funcion.
by the way you are able to tweak the samples on the KP3 as well to find exact start / end points for loops...
if you google for it i am shure you will find step by step guides.
please post what software you used. like "loopy LLama" from rekliner ? but there are others around right. maybe someone has experience with these. maybe using with netbooks is fun : )
