This is one of the worst shows based on a comic book ever made. It makes no fucking sense. It pisses me off to no end, especially because I have a Birds of Prey comic in my hands.

Birds of Prey had horrible advertising and the show wasn't aired in LA at least TWICE cuz of the stupid Clippers. The WB was all about showing the Clippers but they f-ing sucked! What made it worse was that the WB didn't show the missed shows that aired everywhere else so LA would be lost on the story. The WB killed Birds of Prey.
Why didn't the writers include Dr. Pamela Lillian Isley aka Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn's best friend. Unlike most villain team-ups, their partnership seems to be genuinely rooted in friendship, and Ivy sincerely wants to save Harley from her abusive relationship with the Joker. Ivy sympathizes with Harley, as Harley is mistreated by the man she loves. :(

Fast forward to NOW and I picked up the entire series, feeling maybe I didn't give it a fair shake. I watched EVERY episode. And now I can tell you with certainty that it is terrible. I don't care about the liberties taken with the characters. And I LOVE the characters. I own most of the comic series.

The Warner Bros. movie division told the TV division hands off Batman and the Joker. Too bad that The Joker never battled Helena Wayne aka The Huntress. :( Or I never got to see other Batman foes in that Birds of Prey Series besides Clayface, Harley Quinn, Lady Shiva, and Catwoman. And it';s not the same with out The Duke of Duality, Harvey Dent aka Two-Face. :(

I will be looking for it, I always liked the original Untress concept not only because of the character , but because it happened in a near future, it was dark the Joker was deadly, sound familiar yup , to me it was just like another version of future Batman similar to the Dark Knight returns. Well it had the possibilities of being like Smallville but didn't last long enough. Though it is good if you are into the Batman and Catwoman love and daughter thing. But not like the comic book birds of prey, but it did do justice to Batman I thought.

the woman you see as Harley in this clip is not Mia, the pilot was made with her, but she had to leave so they re shot the scenes from the pilot with Mia who stayed for the rest of the season
In the 1st 10 minutes of the first aired episode, it shows the Joker leave town after killing Catwoman/Selina and shooting Barbara Gordon. It is told by Alfred that Batman left Gotham to track down the Joker.

The producers replaced Fenn after the pilot was shot. WB wanted them to stick closer to the comic in appearance. Thus Mia (a blond) replaced her.

i wouldn't characterize it as an "Awesome" tv show. it was, however, borderline decent.
