I got a 15 inch macbook pro for college this year. I'm just giving it to my bro and getting this now. All I do is leave it in my dorm anyways and I don't use any editing mac crap so this would be better for me. All I do is game and use word. Most places have an outlet and this laptop would last at least 2-3 classes on low power so it aint that bad for a college student wanting to game.

Look alienware (although expensive) offers really high quality hardware, of couse you can save thousands by building your won computer or finding a better laptop online, but if you do get an alienware, it definitly has a lot of more features like lighting and the full Blu-Ray support.
