In thailand they call it a lo-dee, or Roti. It's a crepe with egg, banana, and sweetened condensed milk, This one was withn with chocolate sauce, others use coarse granulated sugar.
Jesus, I miss Thai banana roti. My favorite thing in the world. In fact, when you order a roti from a street vendor, you can customize your roti by saying things like, 'sai kai'= with egg, 'mai wan'= not too sweet, 'krob krob'= crispy style or 'nim nim'= soft style. The vendor guy might hate you, but this way you will get the perfect roti.
I know what this is my daughter had one last week at a street food festivale in new york city, the line was so long only for this dessert. we waited like 25 minutes on that line. you can find this at the 9th ave international food festival or any street festivale. they are so good....
Guys, you can't miss this dessert in Bangkok. There is a street vendor everywhere, next to the bus stop, near the BTS or MRT station, in front of the soi, dessert is everywhere.

I love roti since I was very young. Now I still love it too, but I don't eat it that much anymore, not good for someone who's losing weight at all :P
If you like roti, then you should try what we call "มะตะบะ" (Mataba); it is kinda like savory roti with fillings; meat, onions, green onions etc. And it tastes real good.
For people who are in Thailand, the famous places for Mataba are Tha Chang, Tha Prachan and Tha Phra-Arthit in Bangkok. Try it out! ;D
awesome! I just got back from Thailand and LOVED these! I'll try it at home - won't be as good, but maybe just maybe it will be passable. :) Helps to have a visual!
back in my hometown , we called this Roti Banana or Roti Pisang. Some vendors even sprinkled toasted peanuts to enhance the taste! The Indians bring that cooking style to Southeast Asia in heydays of British occupation in Malaya. Thailand being just across the border may have learnt it from the Malays who actually learnt from the Indians in their Roti Pharata and Murtabak making.
that looks delicious! in malaysia we had a derivative from this called roti canai, where they cook the dough without those fillings. it is like a common breakfast menu over here, serves with curry. but this one really distinct from that, especially when it served with coconut milk and chocolate instead of curry.
@aidan21 yup, we do love spicy things from breakfast to supper, other breakfast menu like coconut rice can be twice spicier than roti canai with curry
oh yeah, this is really good stuff, gotta eat with that choco sauce

It's probably because the cows the get the milk from aren't shot full of hormones and are allowed to graze like nature intended.
