@fenderstratjourney Thanks for the compliment ... well to answer your question, i have other videos...feel free to check them out and let me know what you think!
@francodrummer1 I know, but the application to music is important too. Mike Mangini is a monster technically speaking. But i love Paice's particular sense of groove and musicality, and it kind of goes beyond technique. Although i must say that technique is a big portion of what makes a good drummer and actually, a good musician in general.
With that being said, i'm off to practice some rudiments...i hate my left hand...4 years playing and i can barely play doubles... cheers.
@DiegusIcarus good for you...you have no idea how many drummers dont know the basics...as a drummer/percussionist you must learn and some what master your trade! I have a few progressive speed vids on here, check 'em out, you may appreciate them...Mangini is a good drummer but i was thinking more in the line of Buddy Rich, Carl Palmer and Tony Royster jr!
@DiegusIcarus Well i just listened to some of his solo work (Ian Paice)...and he is a fine drummer and what i like best about him is that he is a fellow "left handed" drummer!! but i can think of many technically, rudimentary and overall better drummers! but that being said, he is a very talented drummer!!
Thanks for doing this!

Guys, it's Bonham's "Stairway to Heaven" first drum fill part during the guitar solo.
Count them like 3 hits: a flam (snare+high tom); hit on the floor tom, then bass drum. It will come naturally that way. Hope it helped! Cheers.
DiegusIcarus 1 year ago
@DiegusIcarus you are correct sir...Steve Smith took it from Mr. Bonham!...from one great drummer to another..lol

@francodrummer1 I still prefer Ian Paice. Well, actually i prefer Ian Paice against any drummer, haha.
The fill itself is a great pre chorus fill. If you open your mind you can use it in a lot of moments during a song. Cheers.
