I've had a lifetime of this---after this novel was published I had, over the next 10 years, 7 different literary agents representing 7 different books, and no takers, for much the same reasons...but that's perhaps another video down the line. xo;-}
And so a frustrated writer puts pen to paper. Would that he had read, even seen Max Dix: Zero to Six. A worthy second play/novel ready for that two book deal?

My guess is the guy connected with his own pain reading your novel...
