Personally, this is a very eerie, creepy soundtrack.

This is what I imagine when listening to this :

You are in an ancient tomb, and it is close to 'pitch black'. Only a faint light surrounds you. You are lost, and as far as you are aware, you are completely alone. You slowly walk through the passage ways, completely unaware of the path ahead. And you feel a chill down your spine, with unsettling thought that there is something else here...

it actually reminds me (that u entioned) the line of pitch black, darkness every 22 years (starring riddick as vin diesel) when they crash on that planet with the monsters coming out at pitch blac, it shows a an area full of blue light caused by 2 suns, 1 is normal the other is blue, and its just a complete desert so damn hot, and there are things that eat u if u enter their ruins u should see that movie! its friggin awesome! not creepy at all, ubt ull have a strange feeling at the whole movie!
