  • Will Batts also played with Frank.

I always though that was amusing, one sane & one batts.

  • Frank Stokes is one of the greats and it's wonderful that he is now being rediscovered thanks to Youtube. His long-time partner was Dan Sane and as another person mentions below, it's likely that Sane was 2nd guitar on this recording.

  • Great distraction and great vide0!! thank u downloadmusic .im

  • Great singer and great songs, Frank Stokes is a real favorite of mine...

  • Thank you for sharing.

  • Shit... there's a second guitar?? I was trying to figure out how many thumbs the guy had...

  • @RandalftheGray There is only one guitar. Frankie is playing in C. The chords are C G7 C G C G G7 C hope this makes sense. The song is tabbed in The Country Blues Series Oak Publications 1971 (Stefan Grossman).

  • @Ganzie2000 nah man there's gotta be a second guitarist. franks thumbing the bass and picking the melody at the same time but there's another guy doing some interesting stuff with a pick too. :42 during this break between verses you can hear it really clearly.

  • These two played together as The Beale Street Sheiks.

  • My guess... Dan Sane on second guitar.

  • Great voice.
