why wouldn't you just make this in indesign? I'm not at all trying to put down this video or anything, it's just you could make that same thing in indesign in 5 minutes. is there any advantage to doing this in flash catalyst? or were you just exploring different methods?

Congatulations on your beautiful as well talented family and the nice videotutorials you provide us with. It's always sheer pleasure watching them.

I liked this one alot too, but when it comes to the Flash Builder part, it's all a bit too fast for me (although I'm familiar with Flex and I made the Flash Catalyst videobutton exercise). Could you tell us a bit more in detail about how you adapt and add code in FB in this particular demo?

No it's more than that...the amount of programming that I have to do in Flash Builder is pretty substantial (just not for this example)...the auto generated code...really helps build the framework. Then you have to really work on it. When I do the data driven case...coming next you will see that....thanks for the question.

Mike, this is impressive, but what kind of advise would you give those who refuse to do "drag-and-drop programming"?

I'm a long time AS3 developer and can't see myself doing what I've tried to avoid for so long.
