  • best song i heard today thx

  • My answers were "yes" and "thank you"

  • nice :-)

  • Finally, some awesome music for Atheists. I could listen to this song all day! <3

  • Awesome. I don't even like this genre but whenever I feel tired of all the religious propaganda shoved down my throat I listen to this and feel better :)

  • Do u belleve tht therz spirits, demons, ghosts?

  • @MAiraq1993 No, but I remain open to new information that could change my mind. But there is no good reason to believe that anything that has ever happened in the world is BEST explained by the supernatural - including spirits, demons, and ghosts.

  • @JPO1618

More accurately, there's no good reason to believe that something called the "supernatural" (a term which is somehow never actually defined by those who use it) exists. No evidence or line of valid reasoning leads to the conclusion that one likely exists.

  • Great song! Keep making more! :)

  • this is the first atheist song I've heard and I loved it! Really love that chorus. *claps while singing 'you don't even know if you posse a soul. You're only going by the shit that you've been told* B)

  • @RoseluvsHHR Look up: greydonsquare

He has more songs most would say better too, i say they are equal in my eyes.

Also both that guy you heard in this video and greydonsquare are black atheists, most don't realize the significance of that. But it actually means more, because the only reason black people believe in christianity or any american religion is because their ancestors were enslaved, and the book itself for those religions are why they were allowed to be enslaved in the first place.

  • awesome tune but one small error in the beginning:

Doctor Manhattan says "I'm tired of being caught in the tangle of their LIVES"

    not "lies" =P

  • Half you pussys aren't atheist dude who said amen .... Fck off nd die

  • @gaykitten23 First off your being redundant, amen is not exclusive to religion, it merely means agreed or praise... I think alot of atheists agree and praise the idea of not being force fed BS...

  • So the beginning and end are from the movies The Watchmen I think... And The punisher

  • not bad at all.

  • This is excellent!

  • This was my first result for Atheist Music... that's awesome... check my channel for more.

  • Kidfantogo, at least oxygen and other gases are detectable. Is a soul detectable? If not, why the fuck do you believe it? And why are you asking such a silly question? Do you tighten up when you hear about the Fist of Rukt?

  • omg there really is atheist music? LOL i thought religious music was the only religious music around.

  • @GAKtion64 the religious music is the only thing keeping religion together.

  • @johauHAU then atheist rap is what would keep atheism alive as well right? there are many ways atheism and religion can survive. not just music.

  • @GAKtion64 this is a rare find. atheist dont realy have any music. but when i was young i went to chruch i only heard singing.

of course youre right there of how religion can be substained without music...but i wasnt serious. like your comment that you thot religious music was the only stuff around i doutb it that you havent heard artisist like snoop dog and etc.

  • I listen to this five times a day.

    -ex Muslim turned agnostic

  • Lol I love this song <33 Its perfect for me 8D

  • Amen. Finally. A song for an athiest.

  • superb.some fool has challenged here to show soul without bible.iam asking show me the soul with bible.look there r 280 religions of dat christianity is also one of d superstitious.ur oxytocin levels r low dats y u r behaving like this.bible z also one of d dirty book.how god existed could u tell me ?who has created him?wats d mechanism involved?is god male or female?or both?try to understand d universe

  • sikkkkeeee

  • i lovvvve god

  • #rap

  • I don't usually like tap but that was pretty good

  • so many lies..our souls are spritis. not carnaly seen.just like the air you breath. you can`t see it..or how about carbon dioxide. and one more thing do you tighten up when you hear about the power of the blood of jesus?????

  • Tune!!!

  • Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatheis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Finally a song that explains exactly wut im feeling........and is this an agnostic atheist like me or straight up atheist?

  • @lacrosseboy201 I cannot speak for rationalwarrior but I would say that most atheists that you will encounter are, at least after reflection, agnostic atheists. I, for example, don't "know" whether there is a god or gods and I find no reason to believe in a god or gods. I only say there are no gods in the way I say there are no faeries - I don't know it, but I'm certain enough. At the same time, if you show me evidence for any seemingly far-out claim, then I will change my mind. Hope that helps.

  • @JPO1618 how can u sure? I can say that: i can doubt anything which u can show me as evidence. So in my way, there isnt possible an evidence for it. U can show something as evidence.. And i can ask Evidence of WHAT? How can u sure of that? =) U cant.. It surely an evidence something.. which different then god. So u can BELIEVE.. U can believe now so =) Which i dont =)

  • @TheMasterArche Just so you know, almost every sentence in your post seems to be missing a word, making this response difficult. I don't know that I said that I WAS sure of anything absolutely. Evidence can be examined, tests can be done to try to replicate results, there are many ways to be more certain about things.

  • I play this five times a day, every time I hear the call for prayers.

  • @soggharta eternal life sounds good tho

  • Damn that's some piece of awesome, we need rap like this.

  • I think it's "get richer" not "adventure". Just a tip! :) Thx for uploading.

  • @googelybear I think you're right. Thanks

  • Hell of a lot better than soulja boy and lil Wayne.

  • I clicked on this by accident and normally hate rap, but this is really good

  • this is pretty cool.

  • Wow this is actually really good! Gr8 Job! and yes we all know god is imaginary.

  • This is just as judgmental as the christians you are thinking of. This just pisses me off.

  • damn this is really good

  • I don't like rap, but this....this is beautiful

  • This is really good

  • I usually hate rap, but this is very, very nice

  • just a con artist in the snake oil biz, so fuckin true

  • Damn, this track is amazing.

  • Love it. you finally expressed how I feel. I am going to copy your lyrics and post it on my FB page. which I will explain that this song exactly describes how I feel.

  • I wish I Could believe, the idea of god is unfathomably awesome

  • @disturbed5fdp It's terrible. A Big Brother who watches your every step, and will punish you with eternal torment, for 'sins' that are temporary ? And he wants you to both fear and love him ? That's messed up.

  • @disturbed5fdp I see it unfathomably horrible.

  • @disturbed5fdp The idea of a murderous tyrant is awesome? I don't know....

  • @disturbed5fdp yes heaven seems nice i'm sure theres a place after death that is new life not heaven of course :)

  • @robertjoe1000 You're "sure"? How?

  • @JPO1618 well we either sit in a whole for eternity or were ghosts or something i think its more likely and more calming then just dying yanno...

  • @robertjoe1000 What makes it more likely? I can understand that the idea is more calming, but not logical...After we are dead, we - that is, the electrical impulses in our brain cease. It is not like WE are anywhere from eternity.

  • @JPO1618 cant i plz just be right? im gona be pretty fucking emo if theres nothing after death

  • @robertjoe1000 To each their own, but life and the cosmos are amazing! There is so miuch to live for and to enjoy without there being an afterlife.

  • Nothing proves or disproves A God in existence. God doesn't have to help us all the time like the Christian Faith says. Now Atheists, (not all of you, just some) stop acting like you are smarter than the ones who do believe in god. Christian's and or Muslims (yet again, not all) Stop trying to force your religion on people. Religion, and the lack of, are not bad things at all. This is from a Agnostic point of view.

  • @Music4eternity1 "This is from a Agnostic point of view."

I'm not sure what your intent here is (which is hard to do when something is written), but I hope you are just trying to present information and not saying that to show you have an impartial point of view because, frankly, it doesn't matter where your point of view is. If you have a good point, you have a good point, and vice versa. You do not have a good point...

  • @Music4eternity1 Have you ever heard of the FLDS? They isolate themselves from the rest of society because they don't want to be exposed to our sinful lives. Another example I want to use is the Austin Stone Community Church. I have heard some parents are grounding their kids for watching clips of The Atheist Experience. They, too, seem to be isolating themselves and their children from the rest of the world. Are these not bad in your opinion? Because this is the result of RELIGION.

  • @TheMidwestAtheist I posted on your channel for my response was to long for this thing lol.

  • that is pretty awesome man.

  • Hello JPO1618,

I realllllly enjoyed this version of Lyrics.

Can you kindly do the same for "Beyond Reason" song as well?

    Here:

    /watch?v=7zKAf6JHLQs

I like your way of lyrics.

    Love your work :)

  • lol i downloaded your vid and ripped the mp3 off of it XD

  • Love it XD

  • i believe i was born an athiest if thats possible. time i was born people were always telling me god would cleanse my soul of my disabilities and if i prayed id be redeamed for being an invalid. even my 5th grade teacher a baptist told me infront of all the kids with cursing that we should all go home and cleanse ourselves of the disabled in our lives right then by killing them and sending them to h***, theres no god. no one can be cleansed of disabilities only medicine can find cures for them.

  • This guy is fucking great!! lyrics and flow equally orgasmic

Needs a new stage name though, Tombstone da deadman sounds kinda rapist

  • 2 people worship satan.

  • the other day there was a christian preacher guy at our school in assembly and i started laughing at him and then everyone else started laughing then like half the assembly was laughing at him, it was so funny :)

  • REAL SHIT RIGHT HERE!!!!!!!!! Thanks for this!!!!!

  • Respond to this video... Great work! would love to use, but am on a wii with no pc. point and click keyboard is to hard to use. And porn? out of the ?. Check out some of my vids. Think u will like. will have my pc fixed soon.

    peace

    Ray

  • love this song. <3

  • This song is fucking awesome.

  • oh, and btw, @aabb578 I'm not an internet troll. I promise. Just a person, who desires for you to have the same peace and assurance I do.

  • @gopgirlgolfer Okay i will believe in Jesus. One thing you have to do for me is prove the existence of a soul. However you must prove the existence of a soul with out using the bible or telling me that it feels good. I would like you too show me actual biological evidence of a soul with references. If you cannot do this for me than you should become a atheist. If you do show me evidence of a soul that is scientific then i will become a Christian. -Ray ray

  • @aabb578 hey sorry it took me 8 days. i've been doing a bunch of research. i want to anwer ur question. Well, why wouldn't people have souls? So, do you just believe in a biological world? And if I go smack an elderly woman in the face, how do i know that's wrong? before i can explain everything, just answer that.

  • @gopgirlgolfer If belief in a fairy tale is the only thing keeping you from smacking old people, then,by all means, keep beliving. I am an atheist, and my brain inherently knows that it is wrong.

  • @dabbsouth no, it's not. but why do you know it's wrong even though you, as an atheist, do not accept anyone, or anything as a moral authority. How do you know that's wrong? Is it a deep sense of morality inside you? Something that tells you you are wrong?

  • @gopgirlgolfer It's simply a part of my humanity. If I put my hand near a hot stove my brain sends a signal to my hand and I recoil. When I think of maliciously hurting someone, I recoil in disgust. You know people got along fairly peacefully long before the bible. I know what it feels like when someone hurts me, and I have no desire to do that to someone else. It's not rocket science, although it is biology/psycology!

  • @dabbsouth where did that sense of humanity evolve from?

  • @gopgirlgolfer My ancestors.

  • @dabbsouth where did your ancestors get it? and, if they just decided that those were the standards they were going to live by, didn't they have just the same chance of deciding on something else. what if they said that murdering people was okay, hitting the elderly was permissable, abusing children was great, and that eating babies was fantastic, would you just live by those standards, because that was what they did? is that okay then?? and since your an atheist you'd have no reason not to.

  • @gopgirlgolfer Did you not read my answers and the others??? I have no patience for willfull ignorance, so this is my last response. I might as well talk to a fucking brick wall.

  • @gggolfer This social morality evolved out of thousands and millions of years of your ancestors living in increasingly complex social situations (small tribe - village, etc.) Those contemporaries of our ancestors that did not show this increased social morality - they went around hurting others without reason, or were anti-social in other ways, etc. - those people became outcasts. They wouldn't be allowed to be part of the group and would lose any reproductive benefit that came from the group.

  • @JPO1618 why did they know that was wrong?

  • @gopgirlgolfer They didn't HAVE to know. Natural Selection would select, as I explained, for those who socialize better, and those anti-social individuals would be selected against and would have their reproduction thus hampered. These tenancies would then show up less and less each generation (with natural variability) and would change and refine slightly as we changed our social behaviour (i.e. settled and began village life), but since cities have began we haven't had time to adapt.

  • @JPO1618 so if what you say is true, they could've just as well, reacted differently to those social situations. Am i correct? if that was just a chance? if sense of morality was just a chance, it could be totally different, so if those people had reacted differently we could think differently. Maybe it would be okay to abuse the elderly.

  • @gopgirlgolfer So you still have not found any evidence outside of scripture that can prove a soul exist. Or have you become a Atheist yet?

  • @dabbsouth look at my other responses, to aabb578, about souls, that might help you understand. and I'm really trying, honestly, i don't mean to irritate you with my answers. i'm so sorry if I do.

  • @gopgirlgolfer People don't need souls to function, our biological bodies is all we need. I believe in what is reasonable and logical with enough evidence to support it. I also believe almost everything can be falsifiable and if it is not able to be proven than it is not real. On to the next question, Why would you logically hit a elderly women in the face? However it is your time to answer one question. I would like you to show me actual scientific evidence of a soul with references.

  • @aabb578 I wouldn't. Ever. The only reason I said that is because I want to raise a question of morality. How do you and i know deep in our souls that hitting the elderly is wrong? And I promise I will do my best to fully explain it though. 1) How do humans, even babies, have personalities?

  • @aabb578 I wouldn't. Ever. The only reason I said that is because I want to raise a question of morality. How do you and i know deep in our souls that hitting the elderly is wrong? And I promise I will do my best to fully explain it . 1) How do humans, even babies, have personalities? (I'm not avoiding your question, this is proof.)

  • @gopgirlgolfer I have answered enough of your question and you have not answered any of mine. I assume you still have not found proof of a soul.......... But i would like to say if a old person tried hurting me or robbing me i would knock that old person out. But i would not attack anyone for no reason. So back to my original question. I would like you to show me actual scientific evidence of a soul with references. FYI i have asked 3 times

  • @aabb578 No, dude, I'm not an atheist, still a Christian, I always will be. I have just been researching it, so as to adequately answer your very intelligent question. 1) "Humans have free will. Correct? Humans act in ways beyond nature. Humans aren't souless animals, because humans act one step further than instinct, with reason. We use our brains to calculate and do things that may be counter to what animal instinct would do. So humans have free will that contradicts nature. keep reading...

  • @aabb578 2) second part to ur question. "In fact, free will can't be explained by nature. The idea of having free will is metaphysical. It can't be explained by instinct like animals. If our actions are caused solely by chemical reactions in our brain, we would not be able to control our actions. So, using our logic, we can say that the basis of free will is necessarily metaphysical, then there is something about each one of us that is metaphysical: the essence of self. keep reading..part 3

  • @gopgirlgolfer 2) Yes this Natural selection is very important as evidence for evolution. This Natural selection even determines human personalities. The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) can prove this. The MBTI focuses on normal populations and emphasizes the value of naturally occurring differences....

  • @aabb578 how can something metaphysical evolve? Something that we can't see, but know we have, can't just come from thin air, or physical elimination.

  • @gopgirlgolfer because what you are saying is metaphysical is actually a part of our brains. If you are actually curious about this check out the god helmet expieraments. However you have yet to prove a soul

  • @aabb578 And finally, since the metaphysical essence of self is defined as, "the soul", then if free will exists, so must our soul. They both are beyond physical explanation. This is also the difference between humans and animals: we have free will and souls, animals do not. There you go.

  • @gopgirlgolfer 1)Thank you! I Actually enjoyed what you had to type and i feel privileged to have read your response to my question. How ever i would like to Rebut the idea that we have "real" Freewill. We Understand with DNA research and even psychology research that we happen to have in a sense pre-programmed personalities. Its actually very natural and changes often through a process of natural selection....

  • @gopgirlgolfer There are four categories and two types in each category. You are either extroverted or Introverted. You than can either be sensitive or Intuitive, You can either are a thinker or a emotional feeler. You can also either be perceiving or judging. These traits and the combination of them make our personalities and can actually determine what type of life i will have. Things including my chances of committing a crime and even your strongest subject in school.

  • @gopgirlgolfer Freewill is a illusion since our personalities is a luck game and based on who our parents are. Therefore since freewill is a illusion i can say that a soul is also a Illusion. I can determine that using the same logic you had given me. -Waiting with Baited Breath for your response.

  • @aabb578 okay, but I just proved it. free will=souls....right? and no, i am still saying that something metaphysical absolutely cannot evolve. it's impossible. just think about what you are saying..

  • @gopgirlgolfer I just explained to you how free will is not real. So with your logic if free will is not real then souls are not real.

  • @aabb578 true. but, i just proved there was such a thing as free will. and no, you can't refute that. think about what you told me. do you really believe that we are just animals? we have no free will? that doesn't make any sense with the examples I gave you, or with anything, not limited at all to my examples. think about it.

  • @gopgirlgolfer Funny coming from someone who doesn't know a thing about this world just like everyone else you cannot say anything is impossible because you don't know that for a 100% ultimate truth...

  • best rap song ive ever heard. Go atheists :D

  • Alright, those are really just the 4 basic questions that everybody has an answer to, even if they don't know it. No test, but sorry if it came across that way.

    1) origin--God's hand.

    2) purpose--to serve God

    3) morality--God's will

    4) Destiny--Heaven or Hell

  • @gopgirlgolfer Well that is all neat and tidy, but it explains very little.

    1) This is ambiguous. His physical hand touched all life into existence? At the same time? What kind of time frame are we talking here?

    2) Servitude? I know that the bible doesn't speak against it, but I'm rather against slavery.

    3) So our morality derives from god? Or does god simply perform moral actions?

    4) ...of which there is no non-anecdotal evidence. That's not good enough for me.

  • @JPO1618

    1) No, I meant I am in the earth at this time, because God has placed me here now. That explains my existence.

    2) I don't mean it like that at all. Slavery is bad. Serving is different. I want to serve God, I can't imagine doing anything but. Not slavery, but choosing to live one's life for Him, which is what we all need to do, or else we go to Hell.

    3) I mean that we should base our decisons off of the Bible's commands, praying to the Lord. And if so, they will always be right.

  • @JPO1618 Well, there is. But in order to explain it, can you answer one more question? This isn't a test, I'm just trying to explain. Who do you believe Jesus is? 1) A Liar, A Lunatic, or Lord?

  • @gopgirlgolfer The evidence on any man called Jesus is sparing and conflicting. Which 'Jesus' am I supposed to be thinking of, because the gospels paint very different pictures. And then there is no meaningful evidence after that. Have you looked into how the Bible was put together? What got in and what got left out was rather arbitrary and that doesn't fill me with utmost confidence in the absolute truth of the stories that made it in.

  • @JPO1618 could you give exact verses? where Jesus is muddled...?

  • @gopgirlgolfer uhh, did you give me the verses where Jesus and Paul were like best friends? Just saying.

I will link to a page, you just have to put the dots back in:

    religioustolerance(dot)org/chr_john(dot)htm

Just look at the list of differences listed simply between John and the synoptic gospels.

  • @JPO1618 atheism leads to nihilism

  • @Septimondo Uhhh....ok. Is that a warning?

  • @JPO1618 In order for me to answer number 4, answer one more question, who do you believe Jesus is... Liar? Lunatic? ) Lord?

  • Oh, and no. Alright, for me this is what really points a finger to a Masterful Designer, how do you think? And if we really are mistakes, how did we evolve to think?

  • @gopgirlgolfer If you just click "Reply" next to the comment that you are replying to then I will know what you mean by things like "oh, and no".

  • @gopgirlgolfer So, for you, evidence of god is our ability to think?

How did we evolve to think? Evolution by natural selection selects for useful traits; anything that aids in survival and reproduction of the organism will be selected for. Do you find that thinking is useful? I do. Other animals think (though not with the same complexity), what I am to think of that with the god hypothesis.

Your mind - you - is a persistent firing of electrical impulses in your brain. When that ends, you end.

  • Comment removed

  • @JPO1618, well if there is no intelligence behind the universe, then or thoughts are merely by-products of matter, and we have no reason to trust them. And, no not just that at all. Tons of more arguments for God. It would be absolutely stupid if I decided to center my entire life around one piece of evidence.

  • @gopgirlgolfer Why, if minds are purely matter, do we have no reason to trust our thoughts? I agree there is a problem (solipsism) with absolute trust in the world around us, but our observations of the world can be cataloged and compared, and through this comparison we can become reasonably certain of various facts of the world. This is how one checks oneself for mental illness - by comparing my reality to yours and everyone else's.

  • @JPO1618 That's not what I'm arguing for. How did we "evolve" to think? How is it possible that anaerobic cells conformed and divided to come to a point of complete order, and absolute greatness of the universe, to have perfectly processing and lucid human beings? Just think about it. There must be a Designer.

  • @gopgirlgolfer What makes you think that our brains are perfect processors? Evolution by natural selection can easily explain thinking - As I explained above. I can link you to many instances of the fallibility of the human brain. We are far from perfect. So why MUST there be a designer? I think I missed a step here...

  • @JPO1618 No, it really can't. How do you believe we came into existence? What are the origins of life, in your opinion.

  • @gopgirlgolfer I agree that I would be foolish to base one's belief on one piece of evidence - most theists don't even go so far as to base their belief on any evidence. That is, after all, what faith is: belief in the ABSENCE of evidence. That I cannot argue with.

  • @JPO1618 Your absolutely right, with the theist comment. But, I highly disagree with your comment on faith. Alright, here's an example: Do you have faith in the fact that if you jump out of an airplane, without a parachute, you will fall to the ground?

  • @gopgirlgolfer Yes, because our understanding of the universe now allows me to know that all bodies are attracted to eachother and gravity pulls toward the centre of mass. I would expect to fall until the electromagnetic force in the particles of the ground stopped me. I would expect this because people have jumped out of planes thousands of times before, and each time they fell to the ground - modern physics predicts this result. So yes, I have faith, but I also have evidence.

  • @JPO1618 Exactly! As do Christians.

  • oh sorry, my bad man.

    1) Okay, I meant how did life come into existence? Are you merely an accident, when anaerobic cells hit eachother?

    2) what is your purpose in life?

    3) A morality issue. How do you define right vs. wrong? Why do you make the choices you make?

    4) And, yeah, I meant, so when you die you believe that you will decay into the dirt? And that's it? Is that what you believe?

  • @gopgirlgolfer So lets be fair about this and you answer these questions as well. If it need be in PM form then that is fine. I just feel like I'm being put through a test that we might as well both be taking. An even playing field and all. :)

  • @gopgirlgolfer 1) No one knows for certain, but various theories (abiogenesis) can explain the beginnings of life using evidence gleaned from the world around us

    2) I do not know. What purpose I have, I make. It is not imposed on me

    3) Probably the same way you do, by deep thought and reasoning

    4) Well, since most of the building blocks of my body were forged in ancient stars and have been part of innumerable forms of life before me, I'll just be giving back what I was temporarily using.

  • Comment removed

  • @gopgirlgolfer Sure...cite passage and verse. Paul never met the corporeal/earthly Jesus, the best that Paul got was a vision of Jesus on the road to Damascus in a 'vision' [see Acts 9, 22 and 26].

  • Can you answer these 4 questions for me?

    1) Where did you come from?

    2) Why are you here?

    3) How do I choose?

    4) What happens next?

  • @gopgirlgolfer 1) My mother and father had sex, mixed up their gametes, and a little over nine months later I was born.

    2) Define "here". On Earth? YouTube? The Universe? Most life is "here" to survive long enough to make more life. That's what life does: make more life.

    3) Choose what?

    4) Generally number 5 comes after number 4, but I doubt this is what you mean. And afterlife? People believe in afterlives because of fear. There is no good evidence for one. Dying is the end for "me", I think.

  • @gopgirlgolfer If you are going to list questions for me, please at least make them specific so that I can answer without having to wonder what you mean by something like "What happens next?". Thanks =)

  • @gopgirlgolfer

    1) Where did you come from?My parents had sex. It was probably hot sticky sex also. Because im a badass

    2) Why are you here? To listen to some badass tunes

    3) How do I choose? Yo if you have a baby on the way get a abortion because you can barley think for yourself

    4) What happens next? When you die you fucking die its in the word lol

  • @aabb578 hey man, it's okay. calm down. i don't know why you felt the need to say something like that. But, I'm praying for you, and I love you, but most of all God loves you! So much that He died for you. Isn't that awesome? It is. No matter how many times you mess up, He will still forgive you and love you. You just have to accept Jesus into your heart, and live for Him, and realize that you are flithy and have no hope without Him, so tell Him. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

  • Alright, you don't believe in the supernatural? So does that mean that you believe everything is merely random chance, nothing has purpose, does that mean that human rational thought has no planning behind it, does that mean you think this amazing earth, galaxy, cellulose molecules, intelligence, is all just one lucky chance? Is that what you believe? I'm just trying to understand what you believe.

  • @gggolfer Why, if I don't believe in the supernatural, is the only other choice random chance and purposelessness? This is a false dichotomy. The natural world works through a set of natural laws (with some chance thrown in) and not through random chance alone.

I don't KNOW if all the cosmos is here due to random chance, but what I DO know is that chance, along with unfathomable time, can help explain the universe we find ourselves in. Now, because I don't know, should I just believe something?

  • And if you buy a student edition to Lee Strobel's book, it's an easy read. No time at all. It just shows the facts. But for now, could you answer my one question, Do you believe in the Supernatural? Then I will exlplain the rest.

  • Hmm, well, why would you wish something as horrible as that? Would you like to spend eternity in Hell, away from everything that is good, true, lovely, and holy? Second, Mass and Church are very different. Church is a place to lift up God's name, congregate with other believers, and to explore new truths in God's word. False Assurance? No way. Alright, can I ask you one question, and we can run with it? Do you believe in the Supernatural? Just answer that for me.

  • @gopgirlgolfer I do not believe that any event has been sufficiently explained by 8nvoking supernatural forces, so no. [This is a question is a great place to run with.]

  • This song go hard in the paint. Btw do not listen to the Christian or maybe Muslim comments. They are probably just internet trolls. Who actually believes in a god its the fucking 21st century.

  • @aabb578 The last sentence makes this one of my favourite comments ever. Thumbs way up.

  • Before I answer, your other questions, answer one of mine: How do humans think? Why do we think?

  • Faith and reason go hand in hand. You can't have one without the other. Think on that. You sound like a very intelligent person, and that you desire to do what is right, to find the truth. So, I would check out a church. See what you think, it might surprise you how clear everything is. Christianity is the Truth. Hey, I'm praying that you someday might know my awesome, amazing Savior, Jesus Christ. He wants to know you. I want you to have the same peace and assurance I do.

  • @gopgirlgolfer I was a "religious" person earlier in my life; I know what it's about. I went to a Catholic highschool and still attended mass (admittedly for my enjoyment of being in the choir) into my college days. Jesus is not foreign to me.

The assurance that you have may feel nice to you, but to me it is a false assurance - like someone telling you everything is going to be alright when you know that they have no control over the quality of future events. I try not to fool or delude myself.

  • @gopgirlgolfer How does faith have anything to do with reason? That is what I was LMAO'd about.

  • @JPO1618, Well, that's really sad. Because there is a God out there, His name is Jesus. And, you know what? He loves you. So much that, He died for you. That is some kind of amazing sacrificial love! Right? But, I don't think it's fair to say that you are an atheist, and not actually go deeper, investigate what science, and history have to say about Christianity. Do you? Lee Strobel doesn't lie, he makes a clear argument, but you need to read it. You can't make eternal decisions of nothing.

  • @gopgirlgolfer LMAO Actually, much of the day today at work I thought about your Lee Strobel proposal and thought that I might try to make my way through what will surely be an arduous read.

Jesus died for me? I didn't ask him to do that. Frankly, I wish that he hadn't.

I have studied a reasonable amount of Christian history and biblical history, it was quite the passion of mine for a while. I have seen what science ans history have to say about Christianity...it's not impressive to me.

  • My parents are trying to control me, my teacher and principal are trying to control me, my boss at the job is trying to control me, the police officers are trying to control me, the government is trying to control me, the mean old bad christians are trying to control me so Im going to do just the opposite of what they tell me and that will show them that Im in control. The words spoken by a fool, a foolish man will not hear words of instruction or wisdom because he loves foolishness

  • @JesusNonEnviromental Sure...but that does not describe me. I love wisdom, instruction and truth. I am not doing anything simply to rebel against any system; I am an atheist because my own "God-given" abilities of logic and reason.

  • @JPO1618 Actually, your abilities are limited because you live only in the flesh which draws its wisdom from experience; enviroment and science. You don't have the ability to understand spiritual things because you perceive only things that you see, smell, hear and touch. My evidence of things that are not seen is called "faith" which allows me to understand those things which I have never seen or experienced. Gods existance is as real to me as your dinner tonight

  • @JNE Faith is belief without evidence. Faith is what you have when no evidence is in your favour. Faith knows no reason. How can you be certain that your experience of god is not a misinterpretation or misunderstanding of the still-being-understood human mind? I think you would agree that, of all of people who claim to have experienced god (many of them mutually inconsistent), at least SOME of them are mistaken about their experience and it has natural explanations. How can you be sure?

  • @JPO1618 My surity and your insecurity is a difference of selection according to predestination and its not a difference of experience or perception of ones experience. The best verses that describe the spiritual rebirth of a natural man is found in the bible in the book of Acts. Paul was a Pharisee and had no understanding of spiritual things but was very confident that God loved him for persecuting christians and denying the Lordship of Jesus Christ and his deity.
