  • On August 14, 2009, Public Law 110-314 will be going into effect. It doesn't matter about the truth. It's about the mythical lead levels in children's products. Congress, in a knee-jerk reaction to lead tainted products, coming out of China, wants to throw-out the baby with the bath water. Never mind that the USA, already has a ton of laws ~ lead levels... NOOOOO! Now congress wants to test & charge the hell out of small businesses, because they got a wild hair. Time to tell congress NO!

  • As written, CPSIA will save NO lives; it will prevent NO disabilities.

    1000 children drown every year in the US. A Consumer Product Swimming Impairment Act would save some lives and prevent some disabilities. If they wanted a CPSIA, why not this one?

    No child has ever been harmed by lead in children's clothing, lead in children's toys or lead in children's books.

    THE ONLY THING THAT WAS HARMFUL WAS CHILDREN'S METAL JEWELRY. TAKE CARE OF THAT AND YOU'RE DONE WITHOUT DESTROYING ANY JOBS.

  • This kind of blanket lesgislation could so damage many small operators, more importantly it will affect

    those who care enough to make beautiful individual things and use their own particular skills and prior knowledge to do so.
