We always stop in Shanksville! I wish they'd just leave the site the way it is and not try to make it something cold. I think they'll just kill the feeling of reverence you get when you go there.

We do too. Thunder was pretty lame this year. What biker wants to hear Donny Iris? They didn't even sell enough tickets to fill the upper seats at the point stadium. Windber was much more fun I hear! Next year we do Windber and Ebensburg!

Dude why wouldn't they have Donnie Iris? He is a legend in the tri-county area. Hey I did not mind at all that there wasn't more people at the concert. TUrned out it was better that way. More intimate and Donnie talk directly at us and others during the concert! BTW I think there weren't more seats sold bcause a lot here are hurting from the recession and money is tight. Above the stadium on the little look out near the incline we saw like 100s of people standing up there listening.

man, thunder in the valley is crazy! you can here the bikes start up in the morning-all at once- from my grandmas house! it really sounds like thunder! last year was awesome! ive got some great pictures. (:

We ended up just making it back to the house before it really started coming down. At least it wasn't hellishly hot this year! Did you see the bike that was completely made out of a buffalo? Head and all? We walked all over town trying to find it again so we could get a shot of it.

Haha sweet! And no we didn't get rained on, it started raining about 15 minutes after we left and we were there for about 2 hours so we either timed it JUST right or got real lucky! :)

Yep, we took the bike down. It's not really far from where we live. Of course, this year it's spread out to the smaller towns too, so that makes for some nice riding after seeing the vendors and entertainment! We always have a great time when we go to Thunder! G
