I hate to say it but this band...and specifically this song, was the blueprint for SO MANY "post punk revival"/indie rock bands of the past 10 years. It's the spiky guitar, yet nobody has done it quite as well.

ive recently been ordered by one of my friends to research post punk music. i knew bands like the cure, joy division and echo and the bunnymen, but these guys are new to me. its amazing how this song was released in 1979 and would still be successful in the indie scene nowadays. awesome tune.
