@veiolex ... Have to agree with you there ... I lke the album version, but this has an extra dynamic that lifts it to an even higher level ... so much energy and urgency about it ... Cheers, Wayne
I hate to say it but this band...and specifically this song, was the blueprint for SO MANY "post punk revival"/indie rock bands of the past 10 years. It's the spiky guitar, yet nobody has done it quite as well.
Fucking outstanding. we had this version and lost it.the album is very different. this fast product is more abrasive has less overall compression.i think it was recorded on a soundcraft 16 track. the performance is gutteral/real . i have not heard it for 30 years.it is fantastic.thank you so much for posting....xx
It's not out of phase, if it was the bass would disappear when i hit my mono button, the album version is "better " produced sonically but this version is a more coherent group performance imho and i prefer it!

I'd never heard this version before. Interesting and good to hear for historical interest but I like the album version (you can really hear that clipped riddim git) better. Still, thanx for uploading this!
"Your kiss so sweet, your sweat's so sour." This pretty much describes my very first one-night stand with a 22-year-old creature, presumably of the female specie. What a bummer. That led me to shout, "Sometimes I'm thinking that I love you, but I know it's only lust."
@postyesterdayman I've never heard this song before, but it sounds like the left and right stereo channels are out of phase with each other, giving a flat sound. That's what he's talking about.
