Loooove this so obvious faked "attacks of giant killer-snakes" in such old movies. Okay, today we know it better than in 1942, where the audience believed such exaggerated melodramatic scenes were real.
In reality first attack would be a bite in the head of the victim, and ensnaring it in 1 or 2 seconds at the most... In this old footage the anaconda do almost nothing by itself, the actor do all the "work" for the scene-setup ;-)

@Rothirsch, Yeah you could kind of see after he grabed the head he rolled himself into the coils as he fell to the ground.
