I agree that Honda's option packaging is a rip off, but that Taurus in 10 to 15 years is going to be a disposable piece of shit. The Pilot will be in better useable condition and will be worth more.
ford service is the best! I have a 09 pilot the service is inadeqient. We used to have a expedition and we got the same fuel economy in our pilot with VCM as the v8 expedition

Why not compare the v8 explorer against the v8 honda..... honda doesn't have one. Ford's v8 has 292 hp and 315 lb-ft of torque. And the towing capacity of both engines with the class 3 tow package iis greater than that of the honda in 4x4 model. And the explorer v8 starts at 30k and the honda at my local dealer starts at 29k. So 1k for more towing and a more powerful engine works for me. And the 3.5l v6 from ford makes more power than the 3.5l from honda.
honda pilot has a latch in the trunk for the head rests and when you compare cars make sure there the same type not an SUV and a station wagon!

Let's compare the new Pilot and the Explorer
The V6 in the Pilot makes 250 hp and 252 lb.ft.
and gets 17/23
the Explorer makes 210 hp and 292 lb.ft.
the Explorer's V6 is a 4.0 vs the Pilot's 3.5
the Explorer gets 14/20 mpg
