  • I love you!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is the speed kapustin intened it to be played

  • Very well played! Though a few painful memories occur @ 1:10 with the retrograde 'la campanella' figure, and @ 1:41 with those pesky Brahms studies.... a testament to my laziness and a tribute to your studiousness!

  • Excellent! It's hard to find good Kapustin interpretations other than Hamelin's and Kapustin's own recordings.

  • Good job! Randomly are you Frederic who was once studying with C.Lieske?

  • @XPKpianist Haha! Phu! You found me! It's been a while! how are you?

  • First of all, the fingers aren't flat, they are curved in the natural way in which they should be. Second of all, his approach to playing reminds me of Marc-Andre Hamelin's interpretation, where the melody is brought out and the rest is more of an accompaniment, which is a great way of interpreting it. Kapustin endorsed Hamelin's recording and said they were played beautifully and in a way he would have liked. And with that said, you played this exceptionally well and I love your style. Bravo!

  • that was dope dude!!!

  • @yoursjay

    Thx buddy!

  • Looks like someone missed the like button!

  • Very nice playing and nice flat fingers.

  • Crisp is a great word! Excellent!

  • Hm....are you using the pedal at all or is it just the legato holds?

  • Nicely done! No mistakes heard!

  • Very nice Sir. Great technique.

  • you play wonderfully, all respect to you. I love kapustin and I think you did an awesome job playing this piece.

  • @DonFrankos

    Thank you!

  • Awesome! I love your "flatter finger" technique, and your hands look so calm without any loss of energy in unproductive movements... And you have a neet crisp sound quality, that's appreciated!

  • looking back on this performance, having played the piece myself now, it's impressive how you manage to bring out the melody so clearly, but i think you marginalize the accompaniment and all the rest too much, it's barely noticeable and this piece wasn't made just for the melody, the accompaniment wouldn't need to be so complicated the way you play it. just my opinion on the interpretation though, as i said your technique and feel of melody is amazing!

  • clean, good, solid speed, dynamics are brought out, you're feeling the piano. <3'd it :DDDD please put up more videos!

  • dude SWEET playing man!

  • verry crispy played :D i loved every second of your interpetation.

  • i didnt ment interpetation.. i ment : IN YOUR PERFORMANCE

  • @hjiuhfhrehui

Thx! I'll post another one by the end of next month. Stay tuned!

  • @fredericrouel

    i yes i will :P

  • muy bueno! :)

  • Absolutely lovely! So elegant and light.

  • great job but i can't really feel the swing..

  • Excellent! 5 stars

  • A little fast, but I guess that's your interpretation. Personally, I think pieces can lose their jazzy feeling when played too fast, but you managed to keep it in there.

    NIce Job (:

  • sublime!

  • amazing! your technique is superb and it never obstructs the interpretation, in contrary. if you're an amateur, i'm extremely impressed!

  • Wow! Very nicely done!

  • Wow, this is really, really good. Keep it up and keep uploading.

  • a few minor slips here and there, but this was a very VERY thorough recording. some impressive thumb passing i see there with the left hand. i'd only like to say be mindful of your execution of the triplet runs and trills. the undulating crescendos on transitions and the consistent handling of the textures woven into that intricate passage work really gave this piece a distinguishable character, which imho, remained untried since the onset of its audit on the public front.

    good show ...

  • just like hamelin.

  • Nice!

  • Thanks a lot!

  • Lovely! Well done!

I also like the piano sound, though I don't usually like Yamahas.
