@SassiTheKitty lmao! I KNOW! I never even knew about it until 2009. I seen a season (dont remember which season) at the library and watched all episodes. HILARIOUS. OMG.
I had this tune stuck in my head thinking it was from an 80's sitcom because I couldn't remember where I had heard it. Then it suddenly ... wait a second. Why am I telling you this? You don't give a shit. NOBODY gives a shit!!
This show never got the respect it deserved. It was every bit as funny as "The Simpsons", even more so at times. What I really loved about this show was that it made you laugh without resorting to crude or vulgar humor, and portrayed Jay as a loving and doting father. One of my all-time favorite shows, no doubt.
I agree with you, I think that Jay is a much more endearing character than homer simpson. Also I love the fact that he is a film critic because his appearance comes across as a mix between Roger Ebert and the late great Gene Siskel. Even though both critics made a very memorable appearance on the show. Which marks as the only time they have ever appeared in a production outside of their show.
I know what you mean. I spent way-too-much-time editing the beginning and ending credit music together to minimize the sound effects because this song hits me in the heart for some reason. If you want my mp3, e-mail.
I want this song to be playing every morning I wake up!

I think that this theme tune is very jazzy and it really gets you hooked onto the show by the time you watch any episode.

@pixargod One thing I love about this theme is how it heavily is reminiscent of Rhapsody in Blue.

I miss this show. I used to watch it as a kid. Maybe people just didn't get the satire.
