  • is hydraulics a possibility in lego?

  • @Crytek1337 technically yes, but in a book i read, all the pumps and cylinders were ruined afterwards…

  • @robbiemccarthy oh, to bad :/!

  • but the water level is high no need for a pump. once the water start flowing it will come to the tank without any pump.

  • MAKE A TUTORIOL!! PLZZZZZZ????

  • Good thing it's so quiet!! :P

  • Nice!!! that is so cool!!

  • howd you make the website

  • where did you get the tube

  • i want 1 how do i make it

  • awesome music...

  • u should make that re circulate through another tube so it would be like a water fountain

  • PEE!

  • But Will It Blend? Great Design By the way!

  • @BamMcGra hahaha best comment so far… and thanks!

  • O Jesus, son of Mary! Is thy Lord able to send down for us a table spread with food from heaven

  • i loved your idea, so i desided to make my oun the result is the dispenser i sended to you hope you like it

  • Nice song

  • Its not a pump! You dont pump water from a to b, you only pressed it out with compressed air... ^^

  • @BeautyOfVisual I agree its not a water pump. Also, its got got nothing to do with concentration gradients. Hes not moving the water by osmosis.

  • OMG!!! The machine is taking a piss. lol

  • thats bad ass hooray 4 legos!!!

  • very noisy lol

  • pleas make a tutorial now

  • lol what song

  • You pump the water downwards? This works without an waterpump. :-X

  • wow, very awesome, how u to do that??

  • instructions

  • who really dislikes a lego DIY pump, someone must really hate lego.

  • want to subscribe each other?

  • You are the Greatest, and I mean the greatest lego water inventor!

  • is can be useful for people that have problems lifting things like cups

  • Looks good.

  • Does it blow bubbles inside the bottle when you flip the switch?

  • if u put a timer on that u can give water to your cat/dog

  • fantastic.

  • How does it work ?

  • make video that

    how can make this...pump

  • your an awsome inventer robbiemccarthy

  • thanks a lot!

  • @robbiemccarthy the thingy looks like pee-ing O-o!!

  • @robbiemccarthy this is the truth your the best inventer since archemedes

  • @kylecookie2 haha yeah

  • @markaross3 not throwing stones or casting shadows, but im pretty sure that the piston water pump was already invented. but still nce way of using legos!

  • Basically you are pumping air in the bottle, which cause the water to go out. Works great for sealed bottles :) And you dont expose the pump to water.

  • lol possible future of water guns right here

  • Ok; if this video ever gets 100,000 views, I will make a video tutorial. All my legos are in storage in another state right now, so I won't be able to do it any time soon.

  • @robbiemccarthy wait i have a question, the video only got around 70,000 you said that you'd make a tutorial on this if you get 100,000 views why did you make one more early?

  • @MetroArtyom2033 i made the pictures a long time ago, and i said i would do a full on video tutorial with instructions and everything if it gets 100k views!

  • @robbiemccarthy ooooooohhh....

  • Comment removed

  • why do all are asking for a totorial????!!! it is the most simplest think in the world, it's only air presure

  • LEGOS ACE

  • i put cola in it and drink it on the end of it

  • NICE

  • A tutorial has been posted behind the link in the 'More Info' tab!

  • TUTORIAL PLEASE!!!

  • link is posted in the 'more info' section!

  • i need to get some of those mini pumps

  • make a tutorial

  • i agree to torial!!!!!!

  • link is posted in the 'info' panel!

  • Very smart idea! I'm already building a 3 choice drink machine that uses the same concept of pumping air in and forcing water out. I use empty pop bottles as holding tanks so I don't have to keep it running. then when I want pop, I flip the valve switch thing, and air pressure from one bottle forces the pop out of the other.

  • Its cool, thats for sure!

  • tut plz on how to make good wok

  • how do you make it?

  • your so cool... xD

  • Can it push water say 1.5 meters up? This would be a great (maybe cheaper) dosing system for fishtanks!

  • it can push water up about 5 feet (1.66m) before it starts to lose efficiency. the pump doesn't actually pump the water, it pressurizes the bottle. the pressure in the bottle sends the water out the hose, so it could theoretically push the water as far up as you want, if you build enough pressure. i think putting the bottle somewhere near the top would be easier. also keep in mind that a bigger bottle will take a longer time to pressurize, and will not be as efficient.

  • Good idea

  • whats making pressure also is it apiston or what plz reply

  • how manyt rpms do u need to get a nice constant flow because im interrested in building 1 myself

  • i used one, and it works well, but two would really be great.

  • OMG I LOVE THE MUSIC! were can i get it?

  • iTunes has a great recording; it's one of my favorite pieces from a film of all time.

Mark Motherbaugh: Ping Island/ Lightning Strike Rescue Op

From "The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou"

  • lol, well i dont know how to work iTunes :P you think i can find it some were else? or can you upload it and give me the link?

  • You could always go to a record/music store and buy the album. Downloading it online would be stealing, and I'm a professional musician, so I'm not going to help you steal music. Try a pay-per-download site or service such as Rhapsody, Yahoo! Music, iTunes, or something similar.

  • lol, okay, thx anyway

  • but i didnt get it

  • ur the best how old are your

  • no how dos it work

  • actualy how does the pump work

  • Thanks for clarifying...

Basically, the lego pump forces air into the bottle, which forces water out. the lego pump is a pre-built part, and its driven by a lego motor from a few special sets. All the information is on the web page in the 'more info' section.

    thanks for watching.

  • i didnt get it

  • how do u make it plz and im bein u plz tell me how to make it

  • That was cool :)

  • thanks!

  • I can't remember the name of this song! Whats the artist and title of this track? Thanks! Awesome pump too :-)

  • Mark Motherbaugh: Ping Island/ Lightning Strike Rescue Op

From "The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou"

great movie with a great soundtrak

  • WOW AMAZING IT CAN PEE

  • Wow, you're retarded.

  • cool 5/5

  • can u say FREE HYDROPONICS!!!!!!!! :]

  • HAHAHAHA

  • WHAT THE HELL?

    it's cool but

    where are the instructioms?

  • ...instructions???

  • cool song.

  • thanks.

  • can make one video that shows how to make a lego motor?i need that pls.

  • the lego motor here is a regular (old style) technic 9 volt motor, you can get new version which are much stronger if you look on ebay or bricklink. (lego buying website)

  • thats cool! where are the concentration gradients?

  • i may have used the term incorrectly, but i basically meant that the water is forced out of the tube due to the building pressure in the bottle, similar to the way gradients are described in a science textbook.... hope that helped!

  • I planned to do something with Lego and water for some time now but was affraid that the pneumatic cylinders and switches would rust. Now thats a great workaround. :)

  • that was my main goal in using the water bottle... i read somewhere that directly pumping water ruins the pumps... glad you found it useful.

  • you could build a life sized car outta legos and save a hell of a lot of money insurance might be high as fuck but you'll be gucci

  • mhh an good idea 5*

  • if I see it right, the Motor pumps air into the bottle, and because of the preassure the water flows out in the second tube

  • That's correct.

As long as the bottle makes a good seal, you can put whatever liquid in there you want.

  • that's fucking awesome. how does it work?

  • basically, the pump pushes air into the bottle, and then that forces water out. you can see a diagram at the website in the "more info" section.....

    glad you liked it!

  • can u make a video showing how it works?

  • or like how u make it?

  • I currently live away from home where the pump is, and I won't be able to post another video for a long time, but you can see the"more info" section off to the right for some good links to my website where i explain some.

  • that is so good

  • can someone make a video on how to make this?

oh and yes there is a external power for the nxt, sadly you have to tweak it.:D

  • since i built this, i have moved away to college, and no longer have my legos with me, so i cant exactly show everyone how to do it. in the "more info" section of this video, there are a few links to schematics, different designs, and hi-res photos so you can try to make one yourself. sorry i cant make instructions....

anyone else up for the challenge?

  • NICE!!!, just next time fill the bottle with beer and but the tube in your mouth

  • its called an injector, he is using the vacuum from the air drawn to push the water out the bottle =D nice idea wish i had trohug of doin tht

  • Pretty cool. The pump is pumping direct the water? Or I think the pump is pumping air in the bottle and then the water is pushd out??

  • great idea!! I was pumping the water directly and got a very slow result. Then I came to the web and found this! Brilliant! Many thanks! :)

  • I made it and its working very good =D 5/5

  • can you show us how to make this thing!?!

  • would you want a video response or a schematic diagram?

  • if you can a schematic diagram.. ps:thank you! :)

  • very coool!!!! could have many applications!

  • And will have in my next MOC! :D
