  • goes from countyish to metal. :D

  • Since my last post I have played the KT88 version next to the 20th EL34 version at Russo Music in Jersey. I ended up buying the EL34 version. I am more a classic rock guy, Van Halen, 90s grunge, Alice in Chains, Tool, etc. For me the EL34 sounds warmer, smoother, musical, more fun to play leads by a long shot. I talked with Charley at Bogner. The amp is every bit as good with EL34s. They went with KT88s since new school modern metal dudes like that. Side by side - EL34 wins for me!

  • this amp is awesome

    i love bogner

    i wish the kt88 shiva

  • Have you gotten any in yet with EL34s? Bogner can ship em that way and I assume would work better at more reasonable volumes and maybe warmer?

  • @richedie The amp was designed around KT88s, so it stands to reason that it'll sound best with KT88s. Why mess with the designer's vision?

  • What's up Brian. Still playing those Tom Andy's. Did you guys move?

  • If you pulled your head out of your ass it might sound good.

  • You need to learn some etiquette.....dickface

  • @gytarok Why can't you articulate what you are saying? All over the place?

  • I play it mostly through an over sized Mojotone Bluesbreaker cab loaded with Mojotone greenbacks (thanks to Randall Aiken...great speaker advice and some of the best amps ever made).

  • Two things I don't like; no way to control the boost on clean channel...it's mighty hot as it is so I just use the clean channel in boosted mode then hit the klon for solos. It's something I would love to have modded...a tiny litle volume knob for the boost....probably screw up the glorious tone though. The other thing is a duration control for the reverb. LOOOVE the reverb but the tail is looong even at low levels. Otherwise...one of my fave amps ever.

  • This amp really is fantastic. The master is as good as it gets and the rig sings like a bird if you want it too. With the other distortion options and a humbucker guitar forget it. Rock and Roll monster but equally at home with chicken picking, blues or jazz. Versatile but all the tones are top notch with seemingly no compromises having been made.

  • they're amazing amps one of my all time favorites

  • Mine is on the way. Hope to be enjoyed by Shiva too.

  • Too bad about the camera compression. Really takes away from the tone

  • Let her rip already! =)

  • A shiva sized 2x12 with Celestion Vintage 30

  • What speakers are you using?
