Great story and enjoy watching helo aerobatics. Question, do all helicopter pilots have that big ole walrus mustache?! Cause everyone I see seems too. Keep on flying!
Berndl: Ja, ja, ja. And the pilot said as much. It's still pretty amazing for rotary heads to bend their minds around. As Aaron said, this is a beefier version than the stock MBB. But yes, the German aerobatic team caused jaws to drop when they first started doing their routine in '86. Tatsachlich! -Bob
@SheepJumpFish i was thinking the same thing.also the flight envelope that he's working in is very tame, in my mind aerobatics is about making the aircraft doing cool stunts and also making the aircraft do things that it shouldn't normally do.
Rainer Wilke is much better than him.. BOO ya :D

I don´t know what is so special about the rotorhead and the composite blades!? Every BO105 has them! I´ve read aninterview with Rainer Wilke

@SheepJumpFish
Dude, thats exactly what I was thinking, the Lynx is world famous for aerobatic ability.
All I can think of is that the Lynx is not manufactured anymore maybe?
fireengineer 1 year ago
@fireengineer The Lynx is still in production, the Bolkow ended in 2001.
