I had been searching for good to be there for over 20 years. All I had was the lyric "good to be there when the gates of zion are closed".For years I thought it was The Mighty Diamonds.I had just about given up when on the off chance I contacted Dub Vendor who replied immediately with the news it was Chalice. 2 minutes later my quest was over and I had bought the tune.

Since then I have had it virtually on a loop

and it was well worth the wait.

Then added bonus I find this posting.

Similar to me. I have a Joe Gibbs 7". Front side is Jacob Miller Natty Dread. On Back side according to the label is the version. But instead it was this song. I was searching for years for the band name or song title, but couldnt find out until a friend visited me with some 7" he wanted to sell me - and one of these was chalice "good to be there". I was so happy.

I bought their vinyl in (Oaxaca) bout 20 something years ago. and I got their cd bout 3 years ago here in Canada @ HMV. give it a try, my favourite son is I`m trying

Chalice was one of the best talented reggae groups. It's just a pity that they did not do many recordings and did not receive the worldwide acclamation that was due to them. Great video...it brings back memories.
