  • a lot of deaf people dont really like the "ILY" sign to be honest

  • I had no idea! My deaf friends taught me this way. I am discovering new things all the time.

  • well i mean its a regional thing, some people in some areas like it, others don't, just a heads up if you go some where and do the ILY sign to someone and they give you a wierd face thats probably why. Its because some people think it is over used and kind of mocking deaf culture, but like i said before, some people dont mind it at all. Just depends on the person.

    good videos by the way

  • That's good to know (and for people who read this to know!) Thanks for the info :-)

  • no problem ;-)

  • @big0tone how do you sign it?

  • @big0tone

My parents sometimes used that for short. (Yes, they are deaf)

  • @big0tone I suppose it must depend on who you talk to but I wouldn't say a lot. Most deaf people I know use it commonly. It's my aunt's favorite sign and she uses it as part of her artwork signature and she's deaf.

  • It is funny because with you, I learn sign languages but also English !

Here, I learn the world "baby finger".
