  • @TimmysMummy LOL, You are welcome, you are welcome, you are very much welcome. Glad you are enjoying it so much :D

  • I also have here another question for my exam. Question is, In response to 12 weeks of aerobic exercise training, which of the following would you expect to find. The answer is No Change in resting Cardiac Output. I chose An Increase IN Maximal Exercise Heart Rate. As you can see I am really not understanding this at all. Thank you much!

  • @letty3434 This is another one for Episode 53. Cardiac output stays the same. That's because stroke volume increases and heart rate decreases. CO = SV * HR. They balance each other out. Check episode 53 for a more detailed explanation.

  • Wondering if you can help me with a question. I am preparing for an exam. The question is Which physiological adaptation would decrease after 12weeks of regular exercise training. The answer is end systolic volume. I got it wrong on my practice exam. I am having a hard time figuring out these types of questions. All in all I don't understand the material. In the practice exam I chose The Duration of the Cardiac Cycle. Can you explain and help me? Thank you so much!

  • @letty3434 With regular exercise, one of the things that happens is that the heart gets more efficient at pumping blood. In other words, our Cardiac output increases. One of the ways of doing that is by decreasing End Systolic Volume. I talk about that in episode 50. Check it out and it should help you understand it.

  • @InteractiveBiology Hello again, Thank you for responding to my question. I understand the very first sentence but still don't know why the END SYSTOLIC VOLUME would be the answer to the question. I am still trying to figure out how or why the ESV would decrease after 12 weeks of regular exercise training. Thank you again!

  • @letty3434 You should check out the video I uploaded today - Episode 53. That will help. The main idea is that with regular exercise, the heart gets better at ejecting blood from the heart. Everytime it beats, it send out MORE blood than in an untrained person. In other words, there will be LESS blood in the heart after it contracts. That is the End Systolic Volume and it is decreased. Once again, check out Episode 53.

  • You are helping lots of people! No doubt. Sorry to bombard you with questions! Thanks for all the videos

  • @petercourt Oh hey, Not a problem. Glad to see people interacting with the content. All the best to you!
