This is the poorest job of interviewing I have ever had the misfortune to endure. Perhaps somewhere on the web there is a non-arrogant, non-icompetent interview with this important and interesting individual?
I will look forward for more lectures with Sagan, he was fascinating. However, I found myself yelling at the host to STFU several times- he was so incredibly rude to ask questions piled on top of each other, then talk over Sagan when he tried to answer any of them. He is useless as an interviewer.
Despite finding Dorion to have some very interesting things to say, I had to stop watching because the host would not LET HIM TALK!!!! Very frustrating.
It's very annoying to watch an interviewer try to compete, however ineptly, with the person he's interviewing. So much of this interview consisted of Mr. Channer displaying his befuddled, inchoate arrogance, constantly interrupting Mr. Sagan, not letting him complete or develop his thoughts, and diverting all attempts at clarity with his chaotic n-dimensional babbling. It wasn't Sagan's fault that there was no time left for his magic! There was hardly time for him to articulate his ideas.
To me it seems like the most rudimentary consciousness is rudimentary choice toward maintaining integrity of complexity in a limited material space. Physical integrity seems to be the goal of making the correct choice. Stability seems to require the choice of consuming other life forms. With people it begins to mean that duplicity and indifference is "smart". It is also concerned with compulsion to continue or live.
the interviewer never shuts the fuck up! we are here to listen to dorion not this twat.

The rude incompetent's way: If you won't or think you can't level your wits up, just push the others' down.
Dorion's "mmh" and "Mhmms" at 13:00 were just too much for me.
But sadly not for Mr. Channer.
