  • that's a great look for you C-Webb at 6:37...talk all that shit on the court, get in every opponent's face, the taunting, the 1000 yard "I'm a badass" stares, and...yet......6:37 is pure fucking gold.

  • @asstomouth1000 Fuck you, you fucking hater!! I would love to see your dumbass out there on the court with 14 seconds left on the clock, and see what you would do if the ball was in your fucking hands!! Chris was the backbone for the Fab five. He was just 19 yrs old at the time! They would not have gone that far in the tournament if not for him! So get a fucking life, and get some business, asshole!! Rock on fab five!!

  • Local high school team was supposed to be the best in the state and had the exact same thing happen to them. Kid just was overwhelmed and called a timeout, led to a technical, lost the game by 4. It was a great ballgame with an awful ending.

  • The internal turmoil which those players who signaled Chris Webber to call timeout has got to be worse than than Chris's.

  • 9:51 " We let one get away" You let more than one get away there Jalen. You guys were arrogant beyond your talents..

  • @dbreiden83080 Aroogant?! Five inner-city kids fresh out of high school, who made it all the way to the National Campionship twice in a row, playing opponents who were juniors, and seniors, and gave them hell all the way down to the last seconds of the game, and lost by a simple misunderstanding, and all your unreasonable ass have to say.."arrogant?" Man, take yo ass back to school! Dumb muthafucka!! Rock on Fab Five!!

  • @dbreiden83080 You really don't know basketball do you?

  • @PrinceSonCheeba

Zero national titles but they did almost ruin the program with NCAA violations.. What a legacy..

  • @dbreiden83080 National title does not determine the quality of their game. Look at how many college players win titles and are busts in the NBA. Larry Bird never won a college title and he's one of the greatest.

The issue with them accepting money has nothing to do with their level of talent. Agian you're commenting yet you have no knowledge of basketball.

  • i think they were way too overconfident coming into the game which is why they lost.

  • I think about it is that he traveled so it was kind of like that because they didn't call the travel that the time-out happened.

  • LOL butler university did the same

  • Read the Fab 5 book by Mitch Album. Mike Talley had an ongoing beef with C.Webb. He set Chris up. He was the only one making the time-out signal. Long llive the Fab 5 and the 90-91 UNLV Rebels !

  • hmmm...maybe he got paid???

yea its a dumb thought but it is a possibility...

  • you gotta admit. he may have gotten the game close. but he did cost them the championship for that timeout

  • It is unfair and absurd to put all the weight of a bad call on the back of a 19-year-old. That is not what college sports should be.

  • i am talking as someone who has never played organized basketball. but there should be no penalty at all for calling a timeout when there are none left. someone give me a good argument for the rule, please.

  • @Samax13 If there are no techs for calling a timeout that isnt there, you can then pretend to just call a timeout and fool the opponent and then catch them off guard.

  • @Samax13 It's illegally interrupting the flow of the game. The referee may not have the number of timeouts remaining memorized. If he/she blows the whistle for a timeout that does not exist, the person calling the timeout effectively intended to stop the game for no reason much like a technical foul is called for two delay-of-game violations within the same contest...

  • @drumass666 ok good point.

  • @Samax13 It's ok. I was a licensed high school athletic association referee at one point. Glad to help.

  • Such a shame for MI. Chris Webber was a champion caliber player thru and thru. In college and NBA. If there's 1 reason I would like to see Miami win this season it's because 1 of the Fab 5 will win an NBA title. Go the Heat and Juwan Howard.

  • Eric Riley. Everybody remember that name, thats the jackass that told Chris Webber to call the timeout. Although Chris ultimatley made the mistake, if someone from "your" team, in the heat of a clutch situation, tells you to call time out, what are suppose to do, call time out. So Eric Riley....suck it haha.

  • To be fair, he did travel, so he shouldn't have gotten a chance to score in the first place.....

  • I bet that if MJ was playing for Michigan, he would've cussed CWebb!!!

  • @BigdogH201 It was '93. He was already in the Bulls...

  • @300josh Talking about if MJ was on CWEBB team when he called the illegal time-out!!!

  • too many timeouts in one sentence..Eric Riley

  • I feel bad for Chris but damn I wonder how that chair is feelin

  • It doesnt get any better than the "Fab Five"!! Think about it...most NBA players who were teammates in college don't even have a close relationship now. But the Fab Five will always love and cherish one another. Regardless of the Chris Webber "timeout" mistake, they pick each other up, and move on! That is what you call..."TRUE CHAMPIONS"!!

  • At 4:47 it looks like Chris is about to call a TO then ! Look closely

  • lol 7:34 "Get your head up Chris, you're the leader baby!"

  • dhat bum Talley. He told Webber to call timeout. I say we find him and give him a Technical Bullet

  • i hate the media they couldnt even give him an hour to mourn

  • Back-to-back finals (and coming up short against different teams) is the same achievement in my book as winning a championship. These guys are one of the best teams of all time.

  • I remember watching this title game and felt really bad the way they lost. Webber had one heck of a game against UNC. I still wish it didn't end the way it did...I still wish Michigan won.

  • As an 87' IU grad, I was no fan of Michigan or of the Fab Five. But, after watching this program, I feel sorry for these guys - they were just kids. I don't agree with everything they did, but I understand it more. The thing that bothers me the most is the way the media handled Weber's mistake. Why even put that poor kid in front of the reporters?????? On the other hand, he showed extreme courage to go out their and face their stupid questions.

  • have to take my hats off to American athletes, their just kids for gods sake and they have all this attention and admiration poured on to them at such a young age but the flip side is they get so much scorn and hate directed at them when it goes wrong such a pressure cooker for these players to blossom in, in many ways its good system but at the same time its feels wrong as well

  • Lol at 5:30- TECHNICAL FOUL! TECHNICAL FOUL!

  • Webber had Duke and North Carolina to contend with in college, then he had Kobe and Shaq to stop him in the NBA. Feel bad for C-Webb. Such great talent who didnt get the breaks when it mattered most.

  • This is one of the few games that broke me. Im a North Carolina Tar Heel fan & a Michigan Wolverine fan. I was going to be happy with whoever won, but I didn't want a team to win like that.

  • brian dutcher is absolutely right. they would not have been in the final without chris webber

  • After Chris Webber got that rebound he was motioning his hand to call a time, but he changed his mind at the last moment and dribbled over to his bench and then called for a time-out. Also, you can see Jalen Rose with his hands out wanting the ball, but Webber already had his mind made up to call a time-out.

  • @SportsFanatic2388 Thank you for uploading this documentry, brings back so many memories of my childhood, and I still remember being 12 yrs old and in tears when they lost that game to the Tar heels. Everyone, and I mean everyone around that state thought we had it that year, There will never be a team of that caliber or character ever again. Miss ya Fab 5

  • is jalen rose d.rose's father??

  • @opelebron

    no

  • @five006t6 he looks a bit like him when he was young though

  • @opelebron dont be stupid.

  • Eric Riley had to have been one of those guys tellin chris to call timeout. even though he wont admit it, he explained exactly how it happened. he admitted to saying he thought they had a timeout so of course he saw the trap comin and called it, along with a good 4 or 5 other guys too

  • @dayjob77 Bullshit. And if somebody yells time out you do it? Naw. Only person is responsible for this is Chris Webber, Its his fault. What is somebody from da opponents yell timeout, you gonna whine like a bitch oh they tricked me?

  • @Lorenshyne my gosh, sorry i offended you. chill out

  • it would have been nice to hear webbers point of view and his thoughts on what happened

  • Everyone had a bad game for Michigan except for Webber. Chris Webber brought of there abd would not have been that close to winning if it wasn't for him. Its not fair how everyone blames the loss on him.

  • @dodogrko Absolutely! Especially in the Second Half. Without Webber, Carolina would have won by more, and the game would have been in the books earlier.

  • He hung his head the same way after game 7 in 2002. So incredibly sad

  • @pucpimp there shouldnt have been a game 7. but the nba needed some more money

  • it aint webbers fault

  • What's the name of the intrumental at 13:12?

  • 4:43 he almost called a timeout after the rebound, look at the low under the basket angle....

  • What is the song in starting in 1:42 ??

  • Last thing, if u see the nba video on the lakers 3 peat on youtube. You notice no Sac Kings was interview for such an epic series. They only take clips of post game and pre game show of what was said. When Knicks and Pacer did their series, players would have comment about how intense the rivalry was when they reflect on it. The 2002 Laker is a joke, they did that documentary to actually think they was the best team on the court, the SAC Kings was so good back then, they almost won 5 vs 8.

  • @hypnoticimage hell yeah i bet tha kings would of beat tha lakers when it was bibbys 2nd season with em becuz they had a good bench also but thats when webber got injured when they played tha mavs in tha playoffs

  • I have been a fan of cwebb since michigan and i was glad he went to sacramento kings and help us contend for a championship. I hate that CWebb got screwed out of two championship, one by his teammate in college and the other by the referee and David Stern in the NBA. 2002 Kings vs Lakers, game 6 was so fixed. Chris Webber is probably one of the most tragic figure in sport history and not by fault of his own. I will always be a Chris Webber fan and he will always be a champion to me.

  • cwebb was a true selfless person. He could have thrown a teammate under bus, but he bears all the responsibilities. If he had say something that one of the guys on the bench told me to call timeout to the media, they would have review the tape back then and knew it was not chris fault. Finally this documentary shows that chris was set up for the burden he has live with. He did not want to snitch on his teammates. Riley would have been crucified, and deservedly so now that I watch the clip.

  • @hypnoticimage I'm sorry, but I don't see the same thing you see. He may not have thrown a teammate under the bus, but he did throw the bookie under the bus. And he still doesn't bear the responsibilities of the money is that he took, so in that way, he did throw his teammates under the bus, since they all got stripped of their victories.

  • I don't think he knew it was Reilly. I highly doubt he has ever watched that play. I think that game changed him. When he got to the NBA was no longer the happy, selfless person who played for the love of the game. He had become selfish, he complained, and wasn't the best of teammates. Shame it's what most people will remember about him.

  • @copdrop6 So true. I live in Sac and I don't think he ever got over it. Almost seemed like he expected bad things to happen with the game on the line

  • Been a fan of Webber since day 1. Seeing this again still makes me sick. They should have been national champs. And the Kings should have beaten the Lakers in '02 and won the championship. Fuck you Horry.

  • @doug44r Fuck you Stern

  • Type in north Cato Lina Michigan fab and you can watch the whole game on here. It's like a hour and 35 but it's worth it.

  • something about that timeout changed him, before you could tell he was just a happy basketball player who just wanted to have fun, but after that moment. he didnt really care for it anymore

yeah he went to the NBA but he didnt pan out like he could have

  • No doubt. It is one thing to miss a game winning shot it is quite another to do something like that. That is the kind of thing no one likes to see happen to an athlete.

  • Wish I could've seen this game. Cwebb is a cool person and its sad that it had to end like that

  • @katharyncrimson Of all the Fab 5 guys, Chris was the only one I respected. He manned up when it mattered and screwed up once on the biggest stage of all. He was the only one who deserved better.

  • i saw that game on tv and my heart just went out to him.

  • 10 seconds - home sweet home.

  • Jalen summed it up...we lost the National Championship to a Team that we were Better than,,,

C.Webb did not cost that team a title. Sorry. This team was bigger than that.

  • You have to respect the referee for doing everything in his power to give Michigan a chance to finish. Too bad Weber couldn't get his head out of his ass when he was given gift after gift in that game.
