  • This is deep

  • One of the best intros to a hip-hop album I've ever heard..damn. And I'm white, too, I can just appreciate a strong message synced to moving music.

  • I real like the album lets get free. But the person who made the video stated white supremacy is the enemy, and yes when it comes to the black civil rights movement though out Americas history this is the case. however blaming an hole rase is not going to help society prosper.

supremacy, racism and over all disrespect of are fellow humans is the enemy we face.

  • i've always loved this song. the beat is emotional. i like the message, however, black people are smarter than wolves so ignorance is no excuse to sell crack cocaine. I'm white and I don't get a fucking thing handed to me because of it. I don't have a house or gold or anything that I havn't busted my ass and earned. I think it's easy for a lot of young people to make excuses and blame society for their problems.

  • word is bond

  • "White Power is the enemy, was the enemy, and is still being the enemy." Tru Dat Chairman Omali Yeshitila. Tru Dat. Now, what we gonna do about it?

  • In addition, there were Afrikans who willingly sold their own: it was common then (created by the Sultan) so that the poor could have a chance in rising through the military. If one dig deeper, one will find a sex slave trade from Africa to the Middle East (the Sultan is believed to create the first slave, who was white). Then speculation goes that from the sex slave trade to the East, it became slave labor. Color opprssing color. It is not a white/black thing. that would be too easy to understa

  • ya Slavery has been around for thousands and thousands of years. whites didn't invent it.

  • I like the vid's reasoning, but America was the only country to create Liberia where the first female black president has ruled: Why blame America when America had no boundaries in Africa. In fact, of all the countries, America had less percentage of blacks than any other. The oppressor is England, the Anglican church--who do you think created the concentration camp? You need to dig deeper and find the true opppressor! The Anglican Church, socialism, and communism are all one andthe same.

  • LOL SERIOUS YOUTUBE DISCUSSIONS

  • all i can hear after is......"yo turn this mother f**king s**t up"...haha ....A. F. R. I. C. A. Puerto Rico, Hait and J.A. ...man, gotta be top ten rap albums of all time...like come on now, this is your intro..after this song its already game over. DPZ is off the charts.

  • EXCELLENT PRESENTATION...

  • I know this is the intro on the ''Get free or die trying'' album from Dead Prez, but who is the man who speaks?

  • @83UtrechtNL its called let's get free lol

  • This ISN'T the real version that came out back when the first dropped, cause it didnt have the piano, does anyone have the ORIGINAL VERSION?

  • so your saying it's okay if they were already slaves? Musa622

  • like Tupac Amaru (the Inka, not the rapper) said "WE BOTH DESERVE TO DIE, YOU AS THE OPPRESOR AND I AS THE LIBERATOR"

  • we know who we are its what we can't be and killing ourselves for survival, now tell me if it matter whether the white man know who he is or not he not me how can i

  • forget myself and not wanna know myself from death around me...its the world tomorrow that will decide if we have taken the challenge being where we wanna be in our conscience and united strength and knowledge and then we can teach our children without hate towards others because of what they will learn of our past history suffering...and then we can take the educated things and patience for them as true power, mk he set it straight but we not listen cause we mad have no self

  • belief just blame knowledge you never go remember the good things...it what they want you to believe and you give up the fight and would sound horrible giving a speech to us like that...reverse it with your strong mind brotha cause u right but i can't say u right, but what i don't have power over can only consume me and worse what i believe without knowledge kill everything around me and an addition to the problem and i won't believe we not know who we are...i hear mk in the day and i

  • wasn't born that's enough for me to look in the mirror and know i am strong in my own way...American Histroy x reversed he ask himself covering his tattoo y i hate without understanding, i ask my self y i believe shit i never gave myself a chance to fight...you are absolutely not wrong in anyway 100% right but its time to reverse this shit and stop repeating u look at something even if u can't see it or not good enough and forget the process of shit and time that makes you feel on the world

  • stage you are low cause it will process you through others negativity simple and can make u stronger if you fight for others to know you not fight yourself to know what it is you must go through shits ugly but we smart even if our seperation is true but u want change u gonna have look the other way and knowledge is the truest power along with what u say in knowing history...the only way to change consciencly and universally and not fight over what is not us but what is...R.I.P 2 pac

  • and thats why i say save black america they dont know who they r now black people u ask me where do u come from the crackers know there history do u know who u r

  • da history of white and blacks dont even matter no more some people loss and some people just dont give a fuck. I just want to live my life and hump women all day.

  • Two Things: FIRST, "white" and "black" are just social constructs brought about by colonialism. The irony of any "black power" movement is that it is actually enforcing the constructs that Colonialists brought about. There was no such thing as an African or Black identity before Colonialism. TWO, Slavery existed in West Africa before colonialism. Many of the slaves brought to the Americas from Africa were already slaves or POWs in Africa beforehand. Know the real history--not something fake.

  • @Musa622

You're missing the point. BECAUSE colonialism brought about such constructs, it is necessary for the oppressed to unite under them in order to overturn the structure. When the vast majority of non-white people around the world live under oppression, and the vast majority of white people live comfortably as a result of that oppression, how can individual liberation be considered a legitimate solution? This isn't about a false history, but rather your false reality.

  • Teach Elder!!!

  • this speech was inspired by how the world used to be not by what it is...people can now live among other races and still live in peace depending on how u were raised. yes some people still be racist but thats their own views. yes bullyin still happens to those of differet backgrounds but we can never stop that we can only discourage it. this speech can only encourage people to stop being racist and to stop bullying because of someones racial background, religion and colour

  • The song is about crack tearing at working class communities.

    You fail at deciphering.

  • Love this track ! I dont believe its a white/black problem. Its just the game of power and powerless. Poor and Rich. Making the rules and obeying the rules. Low class and upper class. Peace to all!

  • Naturally, those who are "WHITE" or prescribe to white supremacy will think this way.

Go spread that to White people.

  • There is no such thing as a "white" or "black" person. That's a myth of colonialism. Go read "How the Irish became White." Check out my comment above. Your worldview is built on something fake.

  • MUSA don't check me....they labeled themselves as "WHITE". I merely refered to them by their self prescibed generic term. Their are 4 terms which I know to call them and two of them is a lot worst than "WHITE"

Tell me Musa.....WHAT DO YOU CALL THEM ?????

  • Don't be confused that every white person is a white imperialist that just so happens to be the predominant color of those who are in power. Challenging the status quo is all that matters.

  • John Brown was a good man. The issue that most whites cannot understand, and only because they are not on the receiving end very often, is that while the laws are changed, the practices remain the same. I was in the military and was refused service in restaurants on several occasions. How about that? Willing to die for the place and couldn't even get a meal that I was ready to pay for. On one occasion, I was even with my pregnant wife. Most of us do not hate, but I don't blame the ones who do.

  • It is impossible for all of you to have the same values. But many of us can't tell the difference until we get to know some of you. I have a couple white friends. What I can say is that many of them are oblivious to a number of issues that face black people. Just as we are oblivious to the concerns of you. Maybe an honest an constructive dialogue is necessary.

One thing I advise you to do is look at these comments and notice how many whites use that "Nigger" comment over and over. Amazing.

  • Why the fuck are you saying that with 1488 in your name, nazi scumbag.

  • damn those niggers....

    just foolin around

  • powerful

  • good job 5* peace

  • AMEN 4real str8 real talk

  • thats what the fuuuck I'm talking bout--Amen_Ra

  • who is the speaker

  • Omali Yeshitela

  • true

  • It is important to mention, "wolves" is the politics of the African Peoples Socialist Party (Dead Prez were members when they made this album. Chairman Omali Yeshitela is the genius behind the politics of Dead Prez. Also, the line is changed here. Chairman doesn't say white supremacy or racism is the enemy, he says white power, imperialism is the enemy. Racism is the ideas in the brains of white people; we are not trying to change their minds, we are trying to gain power; POWER changes minds!

  • Great video does justice to the audio. Nice work.

  • Excerpt from, "Resistance of African People, Crisis of Imperialism:Why We must Build the National People's Democratic Uhuru Movement", by Omali Yeshitela. Heard on the Dead Prez CD, "Let's Get Free"

  • Thank you for the information, much appreciated! Would you recommend any other videos with this speaker or any other? if we want to build a movement, we need to network and share knowledge.
