  • Shit video, but music is good.

  • If you ever consider selling this bass (hey, people move on to different tones, styles, etc) consider dropping me a line - A Dargie Delight II 5-string w/ HSp setup is as close to a "Stock Dream Bass" as it comes to me. I've a fan of the whole DDII vibe (the color-shifting paint, Ebony fretboard, Abalone & Paua inlys) and the Humbucker/Single/Piezo is my favorite pickup combo of the Bongo line.

...and very nice melodic playing as well as killer tone!

  • wow!! first ghost on youtube playing bass.

  • thumbs up if u got a gray screen wit green in some parts flashing on and off

  • I saw everything fine on my iPod! Nice job man

  • I CAN"T SEE NO BASS, ONLY GRAY SCREEN..

  • The solo bass composition is beautiful but what a shame we cannot see you playing. You are great, can you redo this video dude ?

  • man,i cant see anything :P its just a silver screen with glitches....

  • wow! NICE COLORS!

  • looks good what colour is that?

  • Comment removed

  • Nice bass and nice played, but has a bass not only 4 strings and not 5?

  • @dhude123 Bass guitars can have 4 strings, 5,6 and 7 strings, theres proboably a 8 string. Theres even 11 and 12 string bass guitars, and imagine the posibilities with those ;). Look them up.

  • @dhude123 There are 4 5,6 ,7, 8, 11, 12 string basses as far as I know. ;)

  • very nice!: D

hey man could you tell me the brand of your strap?

  • @AnGeLoDiStOrtO2 i think thats a Levy's strap. Best straps in the fucking world mate. I use nothing but!

  • I believe that is one of only five Dargie`s in the HS configuration.I have one also.:)

  • @goat34 I heard it was three.

  • That's actually quite nice, well done =)

  • sounds good man

i really like the tone your gettin outta your bass

btw check out my original bass tapping vid if you get time

  • awesome

  • its good but not improv. at least i dought it (headphones)

  • its good but not improv.

  • u actually really dont need to tap when it comes to 11 and twelve string basses. and 12 string basses are guitar strings in between the bass strings, where as an 11 string is every string starting from the biggest on a fifth to the high E on a reg. guitar.

  • thatwas soo amazing untill you started strumming, kindas ruined the song, other than thaqt it was great

  • basses can go from 4 strings to 5 strings to 6 strings to 7 strings and 8.. and 9..and10...11..and12 strings. thats all they can go up to but a 12 string bass has a really thick neck that you have to use 2 hands.

  • You have to use 2 hands anyway mate.

  • he means two hand finger tapping

  • beautiful 5 string man, nice tone.

  • they also come with 5,6,7 and even 12 strings ^^

  • woh im used to playing with 4 strings :)

  • there are some with like 24 strings

  • This model as you can see, has 5 strings. Other bass's can have up to 6 strings!! I know who woulda ever thought of adding extra srings string to a bass:)

You can learn more at uradeush(dot)com ;)

  • Look at his nickname. lol. What kind of bassist are u?

Nice thing, but too too slow for me.

  • lol you can't be that mental about bass if you dont know that there are 5 string basses lol

  • Awsome Bass Guitair xD

  • you improv ?!? you are great !!! (and you have nice bass guitarr)

  • coooool guitar man!

  • dat was awesome:D

  • hey dude do you wanna audition as the bassist in my band?

  • Every bassist i know that has played, or heard one says the same thing. They are the best sounding and playing basses, but the look puts people off. I would buy one in a second if i had the dough,

  • SEXY BONGO

  • Reminds me of Hamm's moonlight sonata thing . . . well part of it :P

  • cool solo

  • Nice job man! Is that a Music Man and also what key is that in?

  • i actually like the way they look, they have really good sound

  • plz plan one. u sound like u have talent but ur improv sux

  • Im Gonna get me that Bass! it is Beautiful

  • respect for the bongo and well played, it was very very straight major scales though

  • bad...

  • I didn't know a toilet seat could sound so good ;)

  • oh, is it made of a toilet seat?

  • Bassist joke man, The Musicman Bongo bass is one of the worse looking basses around, though it sounds so good.

also most of the finish's on the bass's are solid and give off a plastic sort of look.

  • Kinda subjective don't you think?

  • not kinda... totally subjective. ;)

  • sounds like you ripped off pastorius

  • great shit anyway. i have a rogue five string and a fender Squier four string. Ill trade u

  • put both of those togeather and you don't get half of what this bass is worth...

    hahaha

  • is that a stingray it looks so sweettt!!!!

  • Bongo bass! So SEXY

  • GREEN Bongo bass!!! I like that colour at most ! :)

  • Its actually music man Bongo

  • hoo my fucking god

    you kikc a millionofasses

    man

    yeah keep on thebass

  • thats one of the most lovely things i ever heard

  • That, my friend, is a beautiful bass :D

  • that was great dude

    keep it up

  • Decent melodic solo, do you play in a band?

  • hey man, how much did you pay for this one?

  • thanks man

  • the art of recording is as inportant as writing or just simply, playing from the heart it comes in time and requires time effort and persiverence keep at it lad !........ if you doo !!

  • im wondering if i should get a bongo bass or just a musicman stingray, do you have any suggestions? oh and good bass playing but if you are self taught like you said you should deffinately take some lessons you seem like youd be great

  • I took lessons for about a year and then i stopped....

As for the bongo vs. stingray the bongo is like the swiss army knife of basses. It can do everything and pretty well too. The stringray is just a knife, it can cut through any mix. If you want versatility go with the bongo if you want the stingray sound, well then you want a stringray :)

  • @pcass11594 i know its been a year, but get a bongo in stealth black color

  • @pcass11594 The Bongo is more vesatile.

  • nice bass

  • Really nice playing but your eyes scared the sh!t out of me O.o

  • Hey bro, does that Bongo have good access to the 24th fret? I'm thinking of buying a Bongo but I'm considering custom making a Peavey Cirrus also. I noticed on the Cirrus that the cutaway starts at the 24th fret which is excellent access. Anyways nice playing, I love that color on your Bongo...

  • Th 24th fret is about as accessible as its going to get. Its pretty easy to get on the lower strings as you can see there is a contour on the horn that really helps reach that 24th fret.

After i got my bongo I leave guitar center thinking my bass is far better than anything else inside. It cures GAS.

  • Thanks for answering, I really want to play a Bongo but the Guitar Center in my area doesn't carry them anymore. I'll have to order one without hands on experience. I hear they really kick ass.

  • The only reason i have ever heard of somebody not liking a bongo is because of the looks. If you can get over that I suggest you order one, you won't be sorry.

  • @HELLonWheels187 I think the bongo looks intense!

  • Yea, they have a whole lot of variety, action adjustment and other set up issues are pretty easy to handle, its a well made bass, well worth the money.

  • @orlyvai7 guitar center sucks - they don't have anything nice anymore

  • nice dude, just loved ur bass:)

i have an yamaha 375 but urs is beautiful

  • You need more better tune your strings.

  • You need better grammar.

  • i agree lol

btw dude, you kick ass! i play bass too. but only for bout 5 yrs. drums is my main thing ;P

  • ALL Right!. MASTER! Your the best! sorry for my langguage.

  • i want the 4 strings version for that bongo...color wise, that bass is absoultely my fave

  • i PLay on bass to...an d i have the same design.... You play fine :D but i like other style... :-P..

  • Pretty good for being an improv. The only thing I ever play is improv myself, and I know for a fact that you're a lot more defined and smooth at playing than I am. Then again, I'm working on crappy equipment using entirely self-taught techniques...but enough about me, right? ;)

    Good use of harmony, too.

  • I'm pretty much self taught as well. I realized i just like bass as an instrument more than it as the "bass part" of a song. If that makes any more sense.

  • That actually sounds like my personal statement about bass-playing. I don't care to just mimic the guitar riff while playing, but rather I just like the lower tone of the bass. It's a nice change of pace from the infinite hordes of guitar players out there.

  • amen to that

  • i want that bass guitar

  • your intend can be good but your melody is bad.

really do you know to use the scales , triads, etc?

practica mas y aprende la teoria primero.

  • not every thing has to be a meaningless shred

this is great by the way ur playing is beautiful :3

  • boring ...

  • do you really know how to play right, coz your finger position looks really stiff.

  • his finger position is fine dude

  • i dont play bass, i play guitar, and to me that looked like he wasnt doing anything wrong and also im not tryin to be a heaps dikhead but i find that everyone does things differently, like how people hold a pen when they write. :D

  • Do u know theory? do u know wut key thats in by any chance?

  • E major

  • well that was awsome for impro how long you been playing?

  • SOUNDS GREAT! and that bass is SEXY!

  • thats the limited edition right?

  • yup, the dargie delight

  • how did u get that color

  • for improv its decent, I found it really hard to stay interested. You have no dynamic range in your playin, and I would say that if you practiced using more dynamics your style would immediately become more interesting. Try writing something instead of "improv." AFter you write it just switch up the dynamics wherever u feel u should. I'm not hating on your style at all man, i'm just trying to help. you have a lot of potential.

  • for an improv that sounds fantastic

keep on playing bro, you're great!

  • i like. really like the shapes you use. try and work on incorporating the flamenco more smoothly rather than just having on and off. keep it coming.

  • Haha Its Funny To reasd the negative comments that people leave about this vid (ITS TOO SLOW OR ITS OUT OF TUNE ALSO YOU SUCK) but anytype of music fast or slow is awesome keep on rockin

  • stupid bass (mine) i cant make tap XD hate it

but nice sound is an Ibanez :P

    nice bass and solo :D

  • pretty nice, keep up the good work :)

  • Nice, I want a Bongo bad. >:D

  • jjajaajjaja vaya como te rabas chaval, aprende a tokar antesde colgar videos de mierda

  • like it , the d string is out of tune though , A

  • its a traben bass and its about 500 $ pretty good bass do .

  • try Musicman bongo they are like 1000$+

  • more like £1250 onwards mate, i was gonna buy a new bass the other day and the shop offered me it for £900, but i still couldnt afford it lol

  • nop

  • Where did u get that thing and How much??!?

  • Freiken amazing bass dud

  • Musicman Bongo?

  • ahhh i listen to this everydayyy lol its amazinggg :)

  • There's no need-it's obvious that he's perfectly capable of making a musical statement without being limited by the bass.

    Nice solo.

  • Why should he buy a classical guitar? Is it a crime to make beautiful melodies on the bass instead of just playing the rhythm.

    Look this up on youtube:

Tapping and Harmonics Solo Bass - 'Epic Love', Zander Zon

Just because it's a bass doesn't mean you need to be playing driving rhythm lines all the time.

  • amen brother i agree with u 110%

  • thats so sick man.props.i sooo want to learn to play bass guitar

  • I like it, Pretty sweet dude.

To guy saying you can't do powerchords on a bass. STFU plz. Thx.

  • what bass did you use?

"i mean what brand or company"

  • Pretty atmospheric - nice :)

  • dude you kick ass fuck all these people talking shit just keep it up bro and put another solo on .

  • Thank you. I might post another solo soon. I'm lazy.

  • no dudeeee its ...ugh...why are you using power chords on a bass?

like id understand if like you do a power chord and individually hit the notes instead of playing them like a guitar

  • Not every root and fifth together makes a power chord. You should open your mind to more uses for an instrument than what the general public may think it has. For example, I bet there are things you can't imagine flutes doing that have been done in very cool ways.

  • practice the slap slower with more force to get the slap sound down and then as you progress bring the amount of force you use down untill you are more comfortable and you are getting the good double thumb thump

  • What were you expecting? The title is 'BASS GUITAR SOLO'.

  • You're a bright one lol

  • I command you to give me that bass! All your bass are belong to us ;)

  • where did you get that bass?

  • ebay

  • What software are you using to record the bass?

  • ha i think you bought it from my friend

  • Pretty good. I'd make the video shorter next time. It starts to drone and it gets annoying. Also, get more familiar with your chord structures and mdes so that your solo doesn't sound struggled. And don't put the victor wooten slap technique in the video until it actually sounds like a slap. Keep practicing. You've got potential.

  • This bass is the coolest music man I have ever seen!! Lime Green!! I WANNA IT!!!

  • they're not the only ones

  • where the fuck you get the money for an music man T.T

  • stock market. :)

  • very good but i must say that is one of the most beautiful basses ive ever seen

  • Not too bad bro.

love the doubble stops and chords, and flowed well between them.

A warmer tone would have helped make the chords softer(in the good way), with new strings the tone would have cut through without compramising the low end. But thats my personal preference... so keep up the good work.

  • awesoooome!

  • got some wooten double thumbing at the end. watched the video because I used to own this bass It played horribly and the low b string was so bad I sold it on ebay. Try playing a warwick or if you don't have the loot an ESP ltd b series. You'll probably be like "I didn't realize I could play this good"

  • The guy plays a MusicMan Bongo and you recommend an LTD? Thats like recommending a civic to someone who drives a lime green lamborghini. Did you try getting it setup? What was the string size for the B? I should remind you that the warwicks and I'm almost possitive the ESP/LTD basses also have 34' scale.. Point being, you will want a big B string if you dont want the flop. music man basses tend to come with 135's from the factory, and I suspect a similar story with warwick's as well.

  • good good but I didn't like the chords at the end.

  • 5 string nub! :D

  • you solo like me

we both slide too much haha

  • pretty sweet ninja turtle musicman

  • killer guitar look

  • its a bass

  • sounds great!:)

  • John Myung is definately better at bass than Billy Sheehan.

Cool piece of music, bass is the trippiest instrument if you use it well.

  • Better is a relative term. Both great players in their own respects.

  • LOL!...they play different music. Not everything is about the technique anyway...

  • on the bass, its looks like you're playing acoutic guitar ! its so cool !!

  • very nice my friend! keep up the good work!

    e#=f

    b

  • hahaha

    waaaaattt

    did i miss something? i'm pretty sure E#= F

or are you just making some kind of statement???

  • Love the Bongo. And dont rest your thumb on the neck. Rest it on the pickup.

  • my thumb is actually resting on the neck its resting on the B string. I find the pick up to be uncomfortable.

  • oh. Well, try moving your hand back.

  • to James015, it is usually better to prevent becoming dependent on resting the thumb, if you start to play 6+ string basses you pretty much HAVE to use the floating thumb technique, (not just for reach, but to keep the strings quiet as well) and if you free your thumb up then you have 5 fingers to pick with instead of 4 allowed a wider variety of technique...

  • lol? it doesn't matter where you rest your thumb, unless you want the more round sound you get from the neck pickup or the trebley sound you get from the bridge pickup. nothing wrong with what he's doing.

  • I Think The Best bassist for me is John Myung And Billy Sheehan....

  • yup definataly

  • I prefer Myung, Sheenan doesnt fit my style of playing but hes still good
