people are always going to say that kurt was a shitty guitarist.. which speaking from a technical stand point isn't totally off base. however he had something that most guitarist will never EVER hope to have.. raw passionate energy and no matter what noise he made come out of his guitar it was always pure! you can spend your entire life learning how to shred on a guitar but you may never be able to create something as real as he did. music is about creativity.. not perfection!

I learned what made that lead so perfect is he basicly just copied the chorus. I think he was pretty good and good at making stuff up to make vocals to. He was no Stevie Ray Vaughn or some classicly trained jazz musician guitarist.

kurt was a great guitar player. he came up with most of the songs concept. a great writer, and had catchy and very original voice. this kid was over talented. his riffs was incredible and thats what grunge is. rip kurt. krist said in an interview how kurt would come up with easily 1o songs in minutes by just playing a guitar. kid was gifted. period.
