As someone who works in veterinary medicine, I think this ad is super irresponsible. We routinely remove yarn and string from animal intestines and I've seen several animals die due to perforated intestines from ingesting yarn. People may see this add and give their cats yarn or string. Yes, it's cute to see cats playing, but couldn't they use something more responsible that is safe for a cat?

I wondered the same about this being eaten. My second cat is only 10 months old and she loves to eat plastic. This year she has being sick several times because of this, I guess. The older one is 3 year old and she only likes to "chew" plastic.

Of course the commercial is cute (cats are super cute!!), but I am worried about this being safe for them, despite all the fun.

@redtimmy Actually, I had to have eight feet of kite string surgically removed from my schnauzer, who thought it was spaghetti. It was literally two inches from coming out the other end. And I still think the ad is adorable.

Yaaay! I've been feeding my cat Purina One for a few months now, and I had to switch from the salmon and tuna to the weight management one since he was a bit pudgy. He lost a bit of weight, and with the weight management formula, he's maintaining his lower weight. He loves purina, he pines for it every time.

Love the ad! Cute kitties always makes for major win!
