  • love the scenarios. especially the urban survivor encounter where you talk about how to sharpen a saw. keep em coming!!

  • very nicely done. Its thought provoking and brings them into a more virtual setting of how things can quickly get out of control. Imagine how it will be for those living in the burbs. So ignore theHacky and others. If they didn't need help they wouldn't be watching these vids anyway. Unless of course they roam the vids cuz making negative comments makes their weakness FEEL stronger by running their mouths. well done prepper, well done.

  • i like the vids like this.

  • Skills are more important than money.

  • I should imagine a pair of trainers & jeans are not really ideal for whatever scenario you're 'imagining' ;)

  • I think these videos are almost completely pointless and the way you present them makes you look like an idiot. I think you should use your time more wisely practicing survival skills rather than amateur dramatics.

  • It is going to be very hard for anyone to shoot and injure or kill someone in a WROL situation but when my family's life are in danger, I will do anything to protect them.

  • You ever seen Jericho? Just watched it on Netflix after NeverEnuffAmmo mentioned it in a video chat.

  • Everyone I know is not prepared, and is not getting prepared. They ALL think I'm paranoid, for trying to get ready. I have NO ONE to network with. Do you have any suggestions?

  • What are you preparing for, lol? I can see stockpiling some food, water, money and such but this is WAY over the top...in to the twilight light zone dude. I think you might of watched Red Dawn too many times when you were a kid, lol.

  • The truth is that the entire process of survivalism involves thinking through possible scenarios which may well mirror these circumstances. The problems of being prepared is that the vast majority of people are NOT prepared. The exercise involves thinking through the moral/ethical choices one may be forced to make in such a circumstance. Ultimately, anyone in the referenced fictional exercise may involve turning away people with children in order to keep your own loved ones alive. Not pretty.

  • I think this video should have Orson Welles radio broadcast of "War of the Worlds" playing in the background. For dramatic effect.

  • Truth is my brother, we could be in WW3 right now. The U.S. occupies over 100 countries right now as we speak. Sounds like the world to me! Just something to think about is all I'm saying.

  • Man, I love this series. Thumbs up all around.

  • @southernprepper1 I swear I saw you on the national geographic doomsday preppers documetry

  • @huntinguy532 You did...dont tell anyone.

  • @southernprepper1 lol yeah when their 'expert' just had to say something about how you're not doing something right... When I think about all of the different preppers that I've seen you guys are at the top of my 'having your shit together' list. Anyway lots for sale in your area lol.

  • just wish I could get people to take it seriously...the people have property and a few items but don't want to do anything else...

    Try and try....and I don't know/trust anyone else....

  • lmao man im soooo lost, but! i like the way you are doing this! an introduction would make me understand a bit more though

  • who are you talking to ? where are you and when did the war start ? goodluck man , i'm headed for the bunker now .

  • Is this real? or are you playing out a situation? I am confused watching this video.

  • @hubbabt Its a scenario that goes with other scenario videos that tries to address what would I do if I was in this situation. It follows a group of survivors that are trying to make it thru a fictional crisis of the worse kind.

  • @southernprepper1 Yes. I am watching your other videos now and I understand it now. This is really a service to other people. I salute you for doing this. You are awesome!

  • @southernprepper1 I don't like this one. I like the truthful preparation videos. This isn't helpful to anyone who wasn't in your scenario.

  • Weird. You might want to give an intro before launching into your storytelling. What exactly am I supposed to learn from this video?

  • It's cool how you make prepping video's more interesting, ignore the people who attempt to put ya down cos you're informing people in a way that gets us thinking man, well done.

  • @stoshd Haha whatever man. I ain't crazy. I'm just looking out for my family.

  • @stoshd You wont be saying that when you run out of food and starve.

  • I know people may give you crap for doing a scenario video but i think its needed. I would probably Have no trespassing signs posted..

  • Good video - A week ago I bought some solar panels from the website Solar Penny SolarPenny their prices are better than online at other companies or eBay. If you are looking for low cost solar I recommend them for any preppers on a budget. The employee I spoke with also is concerned about the future and is a good guy to talk to for ideas.

  • You are a boss.

  • Awesome and captivating! If your goal was get me to think.....well brother you succeeded. Have you ever thought of taking this monologue and putting it in print? It would make an excellent read. Thanks for all the thought provoking videos…….."Sua Sponte"

  • I think you need a vacation... lol... Good stuff...

  • eat the people...

  • wow southernprepper their are allot of rude people who dont understand the meaning why you do this. you have made me think allot about the situation and it kinda pisses me off how they say you look nutty or that you have alot of time on your hands. who cares your information is amazing i would pay you to take classes or even buy these videos

  • Dude your voice sounds like the one character on the Thunderbirds TV show.

  • this is on the subject of prepping but i suggest that you buy a carton or 2 of cigarettes even if you dont smoke because for all the people that do, they will pay you anything you want for them

  • Thank you for these videos! I have never been in the military nor camping and up until now have been pretty naive. The videos are a learning experience for me. I am also making a bug out bag for my Daughter and her roommate. She lives 4 hours away near Oak Ridge. Extra gas is included with her bug out bag.

  • food for thought.

  • Eh, I can understand the WROL situations, and what not. Sometimes you have to ask yourself. "Do I have too much time on my hands?" You must get bored I assume. Good video nonetheless, it's different. Not always a bad thing being diff, I like being different.

  • @Marine052191 Get bored.....No not at all This is my day tomorrow. Move a ton of rabbit manure to compost , pick tomatoe and dyhrate, cut some firewood and stack, weed garden, clean 2 AR15s and this is just a start of my day. I dont know what I will do in the afternoon after lunch but probably something fun around here. I might even try to fit in a nap during the hottest part of the day. Trying to think outside the box because soon the only way to survive is to think outside the box.

  • @southernprepper1 That's great, when the SHTF, be sure to have some friends to take shifts to keep fire watch when you, or your family are sleeping. Take care, and keep safe.

  • Thanks for these vids...you have to have the mindset to deal with possible scenerios

  • fertilzers and pesticides will only last you so long friend, and they will damage your earth for future genertions, if you want to survive long term and you want your family to have food look in to food forests, with a swale system or hukelkulture watering system supporting a food forest, food will be no issue

  • I am new to prepping and I love the scenario's, they make you think about things you may not think about, but are very importain, I have watched your videos many times, and finally sub. Thank you for the thoughts.

  • Thnak you so much for these videos.

  • Fun and interesting.

I know you set your squat next to the fence for convenience for the video. A squat needs to be away from the fence because a fence draws the eye and people have a tendency to follow them.

Again I know you probably already know that but someone might not.

  • are those walls bullet proof, losing your cool will only get you dead in a survival situation.Always think before you react.

  • I love these vids. Keep up the great work.

    P.S. your acting is fine.

  • this is like a low budget version of jerhico...ok a lower budget version of jerhico.

  • I have just gone out and planted about a square yard in my garden with some grains of wheat that I gathered from the edge of an already harvested field a few years ago. No idea if it will grow to harvestable wheat. But it costs me nothing.

  • Dude im 14 and none of my familly will listen to me about WROL OR SHTf im from ireland and i showed my dad the video of your shelter and he helped me build one in a section of forest we own in a remote part of the country and now i really love your videos i have been prepping since i was 12 and pretty much all my money goes into needed essentials every second weekend i go survival camping with just my 40lb B.O.B and i made my dad swear when im fifteen i can have his unused ford pickup to work on

  • @chamelio2 Outstanding! These skills may be put to use in Ireland much sooner than in the states...Keep it up!

  • Im sorry i know im going against the grain when i say this but these scenarios you play out can make you look a little nutty. We're all here because we want the info and Im great-full for the time you spend doing these vids but stop treating us like children. Give us your thoughts without the bad acting. Who knows people who are new to the topic might be more prone to listening to your ideas if you presented them differently. Im going to sub though you do have some valuable points.

  • @HondaTuner402 Then I will glady look alittle nutty if I can get people to think and put themselves in the scenario. How would they handle the situation??? I cant work on mindset without putting you into a situation that makes you think.

  • @southernprepper1 Don't worry about looking like a nut, all the preparations in the world aren't going to help if you don't know how to react if or when a crisis occurs. It's like having a gun, Which can be an indispensable tool for hunting or defense, but you have to know how to shoot for it to do you any good. Seems too many people are overlooking this vital step.

  • @southernprepper1 we have these kind of real world scenerio discussions in planning for emergency preparedness in the local ERs. Worst case scenerio and mass casualty planning. It WILL make you stop and think. great job....Oh, just thought you might need to know that I'm nominating you for an Oscar in thebest actor in a WROL movie so you should be hearing from the academy awards pretty soon....love your videos, keep posting

  • @HondaTuner402 I disagree. I think the acting can & should shake you to the core about the realities of WROL. Lots of people just can't get their arms around what is's gonna be like.

  • @HondaTuner402 Read "Lights Out" by David Crawford... Its fiction as well, of course, but it is VERY possible for these situations to occur.

  • @HondaTuner402 acting is "nutty"? Mabey you shoud stop watching movies then. xD

  • @HondaTuner402 i like when he does the scenarios, its informative and entertaining :P

  • The idea of them gaurding or escorting this trader is really smart...If they escort him he doesn't have a chance to really see much.

in the case of a community, I'd prolly set up one person or a group of 5 to actually trade, and keep a few hidden personel so the trader is safe, and so are you.

  • Great channel. Watched a dozen vids since I found you yesterday.

Question... do you have any recommendations for camo netting?

Thank you. Keep up the good work.

  • @boohooboo Mine is just the older style military netting. You can find it if you look at a larger army navy surplus store.

  • @southernprepper1 what kind of tent is that called

  • @theboarman This is just a metal climbing gym that has a broken leg that works great for a blind cover.

  • @southernprepper1 cool you responded

  • @boohooboo burlap looks a lot better doesnt last as long as that plastic milsurp stuff

  • No good. The land is flat and your cover stands 5ft. tall. Better to dig a foxhole and cover it. Think about it.

  • @buddybleau This is just a prop. My real defenses are not shown on youtube. But thanks for pointing this out so others dont get confused.

  • What kind of radio do you have in your chest rig?

  • @turdferguson9725 I will do a video on commo. Because I cant type everything I want to say about it.

  • @southernprepper1 Cool, that would be awesome. I know next to nothing about radios.

  • @southernprepper1 Cool, that would be awesome. I know next to nothing about radios.

I love your videos on tactics by the way

  • What chest rig are you using? It looks a bit like something from US Grunt Gear.

  • i really enjoy the vids and the scenarios that you do. it gives a realism to the topic. great vids

  • to 1991jarhead. I guess the two tours I did in Vietnam 1965-1966 / 1968-1969 disqualifies me as a combat vetern. You sir are a moron and I was in a real war!

  • great video. what did you use as support to hold your hut up?

  • @MrDarkside247 Its a climb round jungle gym. Heavy duty metal Iam going to do some iprovements on it and then I will show you the finish position.

  • @southernprepper1 are you gonna do a tactics video

  • @1991jarhead Yes I have so much to do and cover. I could do this full time and still not cover everything.

  • @southernprepper1 Thank you for all that you do for all of us here on youtube

  • Get real, a lone trader would not stand a chance. In old times traders had to travel in caravan with armed guards.

  • @cottonjeff I guess you will have to wait till the next video to answer this one. Thanks

  • he must be a spy

  • @southernprepper1 CAN'T WAIT YOU DO A GREAT JOB.

  • @cottonjeff don't criticize, no vids=no credibility

  • @cottonjeff Dude this man is a combat veteran so how about you get real

  • Good stuff.

  • Could you give us a rundown on the chest rig your wearing? I would like to get one.

    Thank

  • i just don't see large group co-operation in the first year i just don't see it, its going to be all but every man for himself, and his family

  • @gijoegotogo I just hope your wrong. And good men and women stand up and try to do whats right and help where they can. With more people working together hopefully it will easy the pain and suffering.

  • @southernprepper1 most people, Americans especially are selfish and greedy. Look at what has gotten us in this situation, caring about nothing but ones self interest. If that kind of sense for well being of fellow man existed we wouldn't be where we are as far as a threat of a social/political/economic break down. It has reached the point of when not if in our post 9/11 world. My greatest sadness is the kids growing up who don't know a pre-9/11 world

  • @i was 9 when 9/11 happened, so when stuff like the patriot act and such happened, i was so impressible i thought it was for the good, so then meny adaults to but i wished i had the mindset i do now, now that i understand whats actually going on, or i can find out and come up with my own conclusions. i wished life was as easy going as pre 9/11 but now the gov't has to watch if you pee wrong, and there is so much fear mongering over "terrorist" no one can think strait, or those who can aint heard

  • @gijoegotogo That's definitely is a misnomer. This holiday season alone Americans have donated $48billion & on average we give more than other developed nations. The facts are averaged out to represent that it would take "3 Frenchmen or 7 Germans or 14 Italians to equal the charitable donations of ONE American."

Why would this be? I say it's because from our very roots it has been instilled within our recessed psyche that this nation is blessed of God and IF we are faithful, so will he be.

  • @southernprepper1 people need to understand that

  • Good vid's , one thing is that when people comment, you and others say well why dont you make a vid on your channel and post it, did you and others think that maybe others do not feel comfortable making video's? Even with video's its the internet a form of communication sharing but not everyone is 100% satisfied or comfortable with putting there face and location out there for the world too see and comment, also some people dont take constructive criticism well either. Just a thought

  • @oamaam21 I know but its so much easier to explain your idea. I have meet some people that dont think they have anything to offer and this is farthest from the truth. So if I can offer some encourgment to them that their ideas are wanted maybe it will help. They dont have to be in it they can show a blank piece of paper if they want. Iam just trying to get dialogue for the benefit of the prepper community.

  • @southernprepper1 And your doing a fantastic job, I am not knocking anything that your doing just giving some thoughts on what has already been said. Maybe if people would sit down and watch "The Road" and let it sink in that this honestly could happen, they'd have a better grasp. Never say never, plan for the worse and pray to god that it never ever happens. God Bless and Hey Happy New Year's

  • @southernprepper1 & we appreciate your efforts Hauss.

  • @southernprepper1 i see people working together and thanks man i love your videos

  • @oamaam21 I've done over 200 videos and never showed my face once.

  • @theeastwatch Good for you

  • a greenhouse would be a pretty good investment. so when planting season comes BAM! those plants are already pretty big, hell might even get 2 harvests out of it

  • without being invasive..how many acres do you guys have? we are currently looking at acerage in VA , but arguing over size actually needed. yes, i know, too many variables, just curious as to what you all are working with. I want to be at least 14-18 hrs walking distance from current home so being completly isolated will not happen.

  • Hey man, hope you have a great New Year. It's tough out there, but you can chalk another one up. Who knows how many more we got left.

  • Back to Basics and The Complete Encyclopedia of Counrty living. Buy em, learn from them. Got them for my wife for Christmas, she loves them.

  • @AZflyingdevil I have both and they are excellent. I have a large library of books. When the internet goes down books will be king again.

  • I liked it better when you did the informative videos, instead of the scenario vids. Anyway thanks for the good work keep it up.

  • @bperry724 You will get your wish tomorrow. I have another instrutional video for tomorrow.

  • @southernprepper1 I like'em all! Keep'em coming!

  • Your acting like all the civilization that come to passed, can someone else see it coming... same old story, same old thinking. I get the idea, but i think that it will be the time to start something that will work at last, something that start with love and not fear.

  • @itstartwithone Iam not trying to be a jerk but Iam alittle confused about what you want to start. Trying to form a community and help people is showing love to my fellow man. I could use my skills and become a looter and a raider and prey on my fellow man instead of trying to provide a enviroment of working together for the good of all. Make a video and post it on your channel so you can explain what you mean better. I would be happy to learn more from you post a video.

  • @southernprepper1 Thanks for your reply i really appreciate it! i just want to say that when we look at history, we repeat the same mistake, i know it's hard to understand but what I'm trying to say is, when mankind is afraid he is doing bad thing that will not help the future generation. if the current system is bad why start with the same principle, why not reinvent or rediscover the good thing that we lost. I'm not into making video but if i do i'll send you a link.

  • @itstartwithone I wish you where into making videos I would like to hear more of what you have to offer.

  • @itstartwithone the current system is not all bad.Too many people are full of greed and it will be that way till end of time. You and I can work to change it,but we would never be able to get rid of it completely. What we have to do is stick to the Constitution now and after the possible collapse. The U.S. Constitution is what kept this nation going as long as it has.The world is not a perfect palce and mankind is not perfect so we will always have those people to cause trouble.

  • @itstartwithone you have to get thru it ...before you can reach that point

  • @wideawake73 not sure if i get it right... if i understand what you are saying we have to get through hell before good things append? if it's yes, aren't we in it already? so what are waiting for then?

  • Someone should make a TV series out of this. I would watch it.

  • I waiting for you to post film of you using that shoot house, how far are you from Camp Lejeune?

  • @talisman9000 Not sure but hours

  • I'm a few days out, having a little trouble just North of your community. I did pickup a few things on your list! Will be coming in on the main road, about mid day, will give the usual signal.

  • Maybe a good SOP for a guys like that trader, or anyone that would come near you area of operation, is to create a small place near you perimeter for him to stay. Maybe even a location outside your AO, that all of the other families have chosen for short term visitors to stay, allowing all you families to keep visitors from getting a snap-shot of your location. All the families could provide one security agent, or enough as needed to protect the visitor, minimizing the hit to your own people.

  • another excellent book to check out is Carla Emery's Guide to Country Living. It has a bunch of 1800's skills in it too. It might be out of print by now. Its pure gold !!

  • Hey, where do you get your cammo netting?

Enjoying the scenario as it plays out!

  • Great video, Great doing the documentation of the shooting. Especially in a community ROL does apply, although its more streamlined. If was just an individual retreat in the boonies, it would usually just shoot and shovel.

Quick question. What kind of chest rig loadout are you wearing? What? Someone had to ask.

  • @hallard069 I will probably do a video on a wrol self defense kit. Would that be good???

  • @southernprepper1 yes, thank you. (no rush) It just looks similar to what I've had in mind putting together. Thanks again.

  • @southernprepper1 Yeah a wrol self defense kit would be great!

  • Great video!

  • Welcome that trademan with open arms - personally I think its a bit paranoid to be suspicious of a guy just tryin' to make a living for himself in hard times. If hes suspicious a good judge of character should spot it pretty quick. Best to be on great terms so he'll come around more often.

  • layers of security, yes

investigation and paper recording of event keeps things somewhat rol

that dad is gonna need counseling - he's a high suicide risk - set up a community counseling center if possible?

church meetings would likely help community cohesion, and provide an opportunity to keep folks up to date

  • @jamphellhamo - Suicide prevention may not be a particularly high priority in WROL. In the present day we have - in my opinion - gone overboard in constructing a taboo around suicide. Devoting resources to care for a severe depressive may not necessarily be the best possible use of your time. I'm not advocating 'no care/no counselling', but I am advocating the best use of very limited resources, skills, time in times of much-increased risk.

  • Truth is, in WROL there will be carcass all over....no one will be thinking on single cases....it will be straight wild west....the non preppers will be running all over the country side....soccer moms will be doing suicide runs with their SUVs....no reason to think too hard about single cases.

  • @tacticalfairy Not so fast. You're going to be thinking individual cases when it comes to you and yours. If you want to live in the Wild West, then you will. But if you take responsibility for your area and invest time and effort into the protection and well being of your immediate area, then you will be seeking justice for every case. The point is to create your own law and order, not to let the situation dictate your existence.

  • @tacticalfairy

Your comment is more the truth than anything else. sad but true. There are the 0.05% of the population that scrimped and skimmed for years to stock up and get ready and then there is the rest who will have nothing after about 3 to 14 days. They will be all over the place like "night of the living dead" looking for food and supplies. "Communities" and mutual support will break up fast when it starts running out and people return to neanderthal ways. There will be cannabilsm

  • @operator223 Total cannibals....even the soccer mom will be ready to gouge your eyes out for a loaf of bread or meat for a bbq burger, then it will progress to neighbors pets, then the neighbors flesh itself.

  • Hey man, great video.Your video's are a great wealth of knowledge and can't wait to see what happens next. You are the only guy putting out info that you can really use.I'm tired of people sitting in their basements with all their high tech tactical gear talking about stuff they think they know. It's great to actually have useful information in such great detail.Keep up the good work .Can't wait till the next one

  • Can you imagine how many kids out there that don't only not know how to do chores, but are obese, lazy, that just have been spoiled by life with electricity?

  • @MrSKSkill - Not just kids. I know women who won't let their husbands see them without make-up and who won't leave their house unless they have blow-dried their hair and sprayed it to set it AND are wearing tights. They are probably on anti-depressants, too. They also employ people to clean their house and a contractor to tidy their yard. I know another guy who does not have a screwdriver in his 3rd floor apartment - so has to call a builder to tighten a kitchen cupboard door. No "insurance"!

  • @Myrmecia Yeah, America's youth needs to play a vid-ya game called life!

  • Keep an eye on the guy who was "crushed". He lost status, and status is a bigger driver than sex or religion. I don't think he'll attack you, but he may do something major to restore his status: bad-mouthing you? Recruiting another family or two and raiding your supplies and disappearing overnight? Doing something else to split the community between you as a leader and him as an emerging leader?

  • Happy new year

  • In a WROL scenario, I'd be suspicious of traders. If he's sharing intel with you, he's more then likely sharing intel with others as well. Its a tough call when they have a lot of what you need. Good idea to set up outside the main defense area so as to not give them access to knowing everything needed to help a group of raiders plan an ambush

  • @jason34207 Gold star for you...keep thinking. Trade off secuirty risk over the need for supplies.

  • @southernprepper1 In a WROL situation, you have to be suspicious of everyone ourside your group. Wolves in sheep's clothing are just another tactic. The proverbial Trojan horse. If I encountered a trader, only way I'd let them near my base of opperation is if they were blindfolded in and out so as to not know how to find you. In the meantime I'd give a faux pas presentation so as to disguise the real location of basecamp. Let them think they know where you are.

  • @jason34207 thats what i was thinking, thumbs up

  • @jason34207 You know what's spooky? The Scott-the-trader guy is similar to how Rothschilds made his way into extreme power, spanning several wars, continents etc... by being a 'trusted' courier and 'trader'. Interesting, huh?

  • @anyusmoon1 Exactly. Thats not to say all " traders " would have bad intentions in mind. But is it worth the risk to you or the community security?

  • @jason34207 These days I pray for discernment and trust in the Lord.

  • @jason34207 +1 on this. A trader would be great to have, but you don't want him to know too much so he can't betray you later (either by his own volition or if he is captured by a raiding group and "questioned".)

  • this is a great way to teach

  • If you want to see what Scott is going to teach our retreat group just check out his channel LivingHistorySchool.

  • @southernprepper1 Yep, I really do enjoy his site. That IS the stuff one needs to learn in a WROL situation.

  • @southernprepper1 Scott live right near me! I'll come with him haha!

  • @southernprepper1 yeah my post was corny but it was the first thing that popped in to my head ill think more before i post :)

  • Scott could be a green beret trying to penetrate your group......

  • keep up the good work bro

  • great actor great vids. happy new year.

  • Happy new year SP

  • First comment! good stuff, loving your scenerio vids. keep em coming!
