great vid i use to live in queensland only whirly winds but had seen some big whirly winds thou nothing turn into a tornado yet we were close to haveing one last month my mum said the storm above here was swirling around but nothin happend was in WA australia
We get real wild weather here. I can't count the incredible storms, tornadoes and cyclones I've been through here in Queensland. Cool for an adrenaline junkie tho!!!
I live in Logan which is right between brisbane and the gold coast and that is not uncommon to see stuff like that almost every day in summer. If it's really bad in Ipswich, then we get slammed head on straight after. My suburb in particular is known as a storm belt. I love storms but some are downright dangerous. Especially now with massive supercells that hit my town from both directions. A few years ago in the next street someone actually filmed the forming funnel of a tornado. Very rare out
@freakinsweet1024 Australia does get tornadoes.. in fact we've had 3 just in the past week! The problem is that over here most people live along the coast so there would probably be lots that go un-noticed. When they do occur the media usually calls them mini tornadoes or mini cyclones or something ridiculous like that.
@freakinsweet1024 australia dosent really get tornadoe's we do get them but not as often as the states we had A tornado is brisbane witch was in 1974 i think but you could only just see it there was however a water spout in sydney and took a roof off some where near the shore and lismore got one 2 years ago and cairns got one this year ans same with lennox heads witch started as a water spout it hit land for about 2 mins or so an dissapeared there not really big or any thing
@sweetsongman1 Yeah that was the sound of the wind. It would have been around 70/80 km/h as inflow blowing directly INTO the storm.. It really was an absolute beast. One of the best supercells i've ever seen!
I hate supercells one was coming up from the south and hit Boggabilla NSW and Goondiwindi QLD didn't get it as bad but it was sortta scary cause a tree fell near the house and it took Country Energy 8 hours to get the power back on and my iPod was flat stupid storms lol
Yup i remember.. Either Sept 20 or 21 last year. Those 2 days are possibly the best looking storms that I have ever chased and seen! I have videos of them too.
