@DerrickthePinecone How do pets get their souls saved? Or would the pet be more of an artifact of its living self? Personally, I'd want my pet's actual soul, not just the image or idea of it. But do animals have souls? (How could it be in heaven otherwise?) Or do animals only get to heaven if their owners are saved? It seems a bit unfair to hold animals accountable for their owners. What if I love a stray cat but don't own it? What about my parakeets? Oh Pinecone, I have such questions!
@ldirty Animals don't have souls, per se, but it's interesting to note that there are animals already in heaven, so what does that tell us? God is merciful, thankfully. In fact, when Jesus Christ returns to the earth during the Second Coming, he will be coming back on a what? white horse! That tells one right there that there are animals in heaven. I don't think animals going to heaven has anything to do with their owners being saved. Man was created to have authority over animals...

There have been some things written about "why" animals do enter heaven, etc. The owners of the animals have nothing to do with anything, I wouldn't assume--then again, the Bible doesn't necessarily go into detail about it all, BUT, it does say that there will be a time where all animals will be friendly to one another (lion laying with lamb, etc., etc.), in which case even the children will be leading them!

And if they don't have somatic bodies NOR souls, then what ARE they in heaven? Are all animals in heaven, or does it depend on whether they do good deeds? How do they know to do good if they aren't saved? Also, since I have authority over animals, can I pet Jesus's white horse when he comes back?

Yes, the animals will be on earth--there won't be any anger, no violence--just love and harmony! I am uncertain as to what they are in heaven--the Bible doesn't answer these questions. They just "are." Heavenly animals. Animals are not human beings, so their "good deeds" do not have any significance. They know to do good because they are righteous. Yes, pet the horse!

Plus my cat kills things just for fun. Last question, I promise - if I believe in God, and I believe in Jesus, but I don't believe that Jesus actually IS that God, am I still allowed to pet the horse?
When I was at a show in calgary, Raine explained this song, and why it was written. It was made to represent someone who had left there love thinking they deserved better, only to find out, they had everything before. Hence, Bring back the sun... That was a fantastic acoustic set to hear
She and her sister got very sick and they were so small that their bodies couldn't take it. I regret not doing more for them, but I'm not sure there was anything more I could have done, but I'm still very sorry.
@ChicchaiKitsune my kittens also died a few days ago. both of them, for the same reason as yours - they were still so small, and didn't have their mother. it was such a shock, they were alive and happy one day, got sick through the night, and even after taking them to the vet, both of them died the next day. it was a very sad experience. and for some reason, i suddenly remembered this song. thanks for posting it up.
