  • iplaned buy one waths store recomends online to take this price 350 on bersa taks guys

  • I would have liked to see the grouping he was able to achieve. did I really need to see 10 shots and then faaaaaaddddeeee? Thanks for all you others who posted comments. Looks like a good candidate for CCW. I want the lightest, with the biggest magazine.

  • That thing looked like it was going to fly wright out of your hand

  • I have an older model of this gun. Its full sized. Looking to trade or sell my Keltec PF9 for it. The pf9 is a bit to snappy and doesn't fit in my hands well. Good review!

  • Avoid wearing knit gloves while shooting, and around any other dangerous machinery.

  • Yeah, I keep saying I'm going to trade my .380 Thunder Plus in for the same gun, but it's the ammo I keep thinking about...lololo!

But the 9mm is my first choice, once already having a Bursa, great guns!

Thanks for the video...enjoy your gun.

  • Those are "standard capacity" magazines, not "high capacity." High capacity would be sticking out the bottom as they'd hold about 30 rounds. Gun-grabbers want us to think "standard" is "high" so they can legislate smaller and smaller magazine capacities. Here in CA, anything more than 10 rounds is outlawed, and a 10 round magazine is called "high capacity."

  • @NoGuff for home defense and other extreme emergency I like 15+ rounds in my gun. But for cc 8-10 rounds a mag is good enough since I want something flat too.

  • @Peidmonte89

Yup, 10 rounds is good enough for CC. But the government has no business determining for me how many rounds is good enough.

  • @NoGuff no doubt I just wouldnt want to carry something that bulky for cc.

  • Hey how's the recoil on this?

  • @SaiVihtooMyint Recoil is very manageable. My wife shoots this with no issues and she is very picky on her firearms.

  • @jayandton Alright thanks, I think I might purchase this as an alternative to my M&P9c

  • I JUST BOUGHT THIS GUN YESTERDAY AS MY FIRST GUN !!!! Mines Black and silver though. Cant wait too take it to the Range to try it out ! :-D

  • @REPTILEGECKO You will enjoy it!

  • Hi, I have the same pistol in 40cal and was wondering what holster you use for carry? I've looked everywhere and even looked under it's old name the Firestorm Mini, but no one seems to make a gun specific IWB carry holster for this pistol. Any pointers?

  • @morrisart85 I use a Fobus paddle holster.

  • aguante la industria argentina !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice as the gun indeed, but we're hearing about hammer bite. Bersa would do well to lengthen its beaver tail. Unfortunately nothing will be done about it until people speak up.

  • @1LonePuma I have not experienced any hammer bite on the specific gun.

  • @jayandton: Yeah, there are a few on YouTube as well. But if you've not experienced it, good for you.

  • haha Oh man I did the same thing. I gave up my rock island 1911 tactical for this gun just today =] I'm really glad I did.I much prefer having a EDC. The 1911 is just 2 big.

  • Is this what the Bersa Firestorm Mini once was called?

  • @thoma015 I think it is the same gun.

  • This is a DA/SA right? The safety goes up and down to decock? Thanks.

  • @9metatron That is correct

  • I love my Bersa. Stays locked & loaded right by me at the store at all times. Can't keep them in the store they sell so quick. I think we have a few now at targettimeonline.

  • What's wrong with the safety? I love the decocker and the double action trigger

  • Great gun. Very accurate and has a match grade barrel

  • I see you changed the sights. What sights are you using?

  • @lpfan540 I totally agree. All extra safety checks gets on my nerves.

  • Shot this gun for the first time the other day. Liked everything but the safety. It is hard for me to use it when it is cocked. I am looking to get my cc so it will be my gun to carry.

  • Great looking gun. Looks very similar to a Sig P229 which I love. I think I'll have to get one of these. I've read nothing but good about Bersa's especially at that price point.

  • I carry the .45 acp model. Mine has a stainless steel polygonal rifled barrel and is very accurate. Mine has never jammed as well.

  • If you ever have trouble putting your slide on, check to see if the ejector is sticking up to too high. Sometimes you have to hold the ejector down in order to put the slide on. Mine started having that problem after about 4000 rounds.

  • Bersas are the AK-47 of pistols.

And they have lifetime guarantee too (at least here in Argentina...)

  • vidz i paid 480 walk out for my bersa thunder ultra 9 i hope i didnt get robbed

  • hey jay the sr 9 is a little bigger than the sr 9 c but the bersa thunder ultra compact is about 6.5 long i got one the other day and love it so far

  • @rangerdanger222 it does have a decocker too ;)

  • Nice video, thanks. What ammo works good with the Bersa and what should be avoided? Even though it is named an ultra-compact would it be also accurate to see this Bersa as simply a mid-size handgun? One reason that I sold my Glock is the lack of external safeties and for myself not being a professional who shoots frequently I did not feel I had control. How is the Bersa? Any de-cockers or other safety features?

  • made in Argentina

  • Not HIGH capacity magazines there. Those would be normal capacity.

  • Great review! The Bersa Thunders are really underpriced for what you get. I wish I never sold my Thunder .380 CC (the dehorned and bobtailed version).

  • I have a 45 uc pro version, never had a single ftf, fte, or anything. Got it for $399.00 and is more accurate than me. My friends are amazed at how manageable the recoil is, for such a amall sized 45. They are all trying to buy it from me now, sorry guys I could never part with such a fine gun.

  • I have one of these and this shit its a very good gun but did I hear you correctly say u have up a 1911 for this.i mean quality its quality don't get me wrong but those guns normally 1000 $ and better so did u trade for a couple guns or you just took the loss.and these fuckin bersas are getting expensive I has to pay a little over 500 after tax was I robbed or the value went up

  • looks like a sig without the de-cocker.

  • the break down of this pistol is much more like a berretta 92fs then the glocks

  • Only one small problem; looks like they have all been gobbled up. Out of stock;(

  • I really love the sound of the trigger reset! I have one in high capacity round

  • Are the slide rails steel, or ?

  • I am with you, my man!

I have a full sized Thunder 9, 17+1, and am oh so happy with it. The double action pulls like butter, single very light and crisp, and has never failed to fire, or failed to eject. I actually like it better than my Sig P226.

    Great review!

  • Good Review...i like a tabletop review and a shooting review...Good Job...I am trading a Winchester 30-30 for one of these!

  • Oh no, we wanted to see the target after shooting... :-(

  • Hello jayandton. Which 1911 did you have to "give up" in order to get the Bersa Thunder 9 Ultra Compact Pro 9mm as stated in the video? Thank You. Sincerely, JAMES.

  • The Bersa 9 mm, Hi cap is basically a Walther P-88...a $1,400 weapon...and the compact version is simply pared down....however, Bersa improved on the frame...polygonal rifling, Glockish sights, more capacity, etc. Incredible platform for the money. I've field-strip "drag-raced" ATF agents and state troopers with them using their own weapons, and I always beat them. It's also just as accurate if not more so.

  • the 45 is exact the same, the only thing is that the 9mm cost more then the 45 and its like the 380 7+1. I think the 9mm is gonig to be my next purchase. Bersa is underrated, but its like a little secret also, very good guns.

  • Great vid man i have a bersa 380 and will most likely be picking one of these up

    Beautiful Gun

  • what type of groupings can you get at 10 meters.

  • If you guys Google Bersa's web site (it's in English), you will see a video section. One of the videos features a test where a full-size Bersa is made to fire 1500 rounds in quick succession. At times they have to pour water on the barrel because it got so hot the shooters could not hold the gun, but it never jammed nor misfired. Not even ONCE. The UC Pro is exactly the same pistol, only with a shorter barrel and magazine. I think that video will clear any doubts any of you might have!

  • made in Argentina.

  • Ya know what? I should have ask around about the 10 round may for the bersa. I recently bought a Ruger SR9c 9mm for about $399. The magazine also holds 10 rounds. I can't wait to test it out at the range.

  • Excellent review! Thank for sharing!

  • I was just about to step out and go to gun & sport north in Salem, NH until i found out that this gun is not Massachusetts compliant. DAMN YOU MASSACHUSETTS lol.

  • @closer2greatness i wonder if you can get 10-round mags for this? might look into it so its legal in massachusetts

  • I just got this gun today. I LOVE IT!

  • That is one bad ass looking gun

  • they're so goof looking

  • @Vthesurety1 looks can decieve. this is a treat if you like the 9mm

  • Wouldnt The Shooter have to be the Accurate one, Not The Gun? Answer Yes! This and Any other Gun is only as Accurate as Its Shooters Ability.

  • Jayandton...if you have the CZ-75, can you do a review of it? I will be purchasing this gun soon....the reviews are like nothing I have ever seen for a handgun and this gun is ranked number one on many websites that are not affiliated with the manufacturer.

  • @Stressed2Capacity

I don't have a CZ-75 however they are great guns. My next review is on a Rock Island 1911 and will be up in the next day or so.

  • @jayandton

Help Quick! I had been using the cheap Wal-Mart Federal full metal jackets in my 9MM Bersa like yours but needed something better for personal defense. Today I bought a white box of Winchester Luger 147 grain JHP (personal protection on the box). I have been reading tonight that you never use a 147 grain in a 9MM but other posters are saying those are old reviews and it's fine. I even saw the ammo I bought today on a list of other ammo not to use with a 9MM. I'm confused....

  • @Stressed2Capacity I have used that same ammo from Wal-Mart without any issues. However I recommend following manufactures guidelines. It would be best to check with Bersa if you want a solid answer.

  • @jayandton I have a question about the single/double action. If a round fails to fire will the gun automatically switch to double action and eject the failed load upon pulling the trigger? Thanks

  • @Humberto4790

Actually it is not. I'm a lady and not the strongest but the trigger wasn't hard for me to pull at all....

  • I am a woman and I own this gun. I keep this gun in my handbag and it goes where I go. This gun is very accurate. Many tests have proven that this gun is more accurate than the Walther PPK. I also live in Florida (Jacksonville) and whoever told the poster above that this gun is too big to be a carry gun - lied. CAT and Laserlyte make great lasers for this gun. There is an older version and a newer version of this gun with a Picatinny rail system. Make sure the gun you buy has it.

  • Thank You for posting this now I know I'm going to buy one of these this weekend in the Duotone finish.

  • same gun i put through a torture test 350 rounds as fast as i could pull the trigger and reload the mags no malfunction of any kind great gun for the money

  • At the right angle it looked like a Sig for a second.

  • @datguy781 It sure does

  • do you really use that for your carry, and what could you compare the size too. The local gun shop were i live in fl says that's to big to carry, and the guy didn't have one but said it was about the size of a ruger sr9. Is there a smaller version of the thunder and what's it called..

  • @nascar2w you can really carry any size gun you wish. It is just a matter of preference. I carried a full size 1911 for awhile.

  • @nascar2w

The Gunshop Lied Too You. The Bersa is a good gun Great for concealment, Most gunshop owners are merely trying to sell you an overpriced firearm.

  • @nascar2w This gun is smaller than the SR9, your gun dealer must have been thinking about the full sized Thunder Pro 9mm. This gun is great for CC, though it is not as light as some other similar sized CC guns.

  • @nascar2w - the full size version of this gun is the size of an SR9. This is the compact.

  • I've looked at Bersa before their magazine disconnect turn me away, since they've changed that, .40 cal. version of this might just be my next buy.

  • @5687678 my s&w 669 9mm had the same mag disconnect safety, but was very reliable..think i'll buy it

  • Bersa makes some wonderful handguns. Very well designed and excellent safety features.

  • What are you doing shotting with gloves?

  • I had thin gloves on that day because it was around 35 degrees if I recall.

  • @jayandton ah, ok , tank you.

  • Just picked on up Saturday, going to the range soon cant wait. What do you think about the finish on the gun.

  • i have the 45 i love it ,i kinda wish i had the firestorm like you have because of the grip

  • Thanks for the review. I'm planning to get one soon. May I know which laser system fits best on Bersa Thunder Ultra Compact Pro?

  • about how much are these new?

  • Looks like a great gun. I've never really considerd a Bersa, Maybe I should take a look at one. It would have to be a lot of gun to stand up to my Glocks/PM9 and springfields though. Is it all steel? If it is weight might be a downfall.

  • @drdos1943

That discharge at 3:11 is the shooter next to me. I have never had a gun discharge by mistake. And those gloves work just fine.

  • @jayandton Upon closer inspection, my apologies.

  • @drdos1943 - despite the explanation below, it's pretty apparent that the shot at 3:11 is a .22lr, not a .380 round from a short barreled handgun. If you feel the need to attempt to bust someone's balls, especially on a safety issue, make sure you're correct first please.

  • @jeepcreep927 My total and unconditional apologies.

  • @drdos1943 the discharge you hear is another gun, the sounds are very different xD

  • I own one and am always surprised that more people don't.. Great gun for the money.. Good review...

  • Made in Argentina... :D Ahora se viene la Primera Bersa en Polimero..!

  • -extremely- good gun for the money. i absolutely recommend this weapon

  • I like this BTUCP9 and like what they said over and over again in the reviews, it is cheap, never jams and very reliable. the only thing that i hate about this gun s the magazine. there is a rattle in the magazine and it is very annoying. it is not the guns fault, they should manufacture new magazines for this gun.

  • this was the first handgun I ever bought, since I have purchased many other handguns. This is my cheapest gun and also maybe my favorite it is super easy to shoot/maintain and is very accurate (more accurate than my glock 17)

  • Nice!! I have the full-sized Thunder 9 and I absolutely love it.... I didn't even realize there is a compact version. I planned on carrying my .38 Taurus revolver upon going to get my CHL, but now I'm thinking twice. If this one functions as well as the full sized model them I'm going to get one. Glad I ran across this video....

  • Everyone says these are cheap but I can't find one anywhere. It's like they are all out of stock. Would the rarity of this gun affect the price?

  • che los ñatos en la argentina la venden con un solo cargador. la exportan con dos? somos argentinos, es al pedo....

  • thats not high capasity thats normal

  • Wow, This gun real does shoot well and is very accurate. I'm really glad I bought it. I went to a concealed weapons class the other day , and it really impressed me.

I was out there shooting with other people with XD's and Kimber's and my liitle gun shot just as well or if not even better!!!!!

  • I have said before and will say again, the Bersa's are the most underrated guns on the market.

  • @jayandton yeah i replaced my my $600 Springfiled XD .45 SC, with a $375 Bersa 9mm UC Pro. Its has better safety features (with the double-action vs the striker), completely ambidexerious, VERY accurate out to 20 yards, even limp wristing it no jams stove-pipes or double-feeds. This is truly a very tough, reliable, and easy to operate, handle, and carry. Even with the small price tag it performs like a $1000 smith and wesson! If you don't have a huge pocket book, get this pistol!

  • @jayandton I would contend that the Steyr M and Steyr S series of pistols are the most under rated handguns on the market.

  • im getting one for fun shooting on the range, looks steady and sturdy.

  • Im thinking of getting one,2 tone

  • Didya' know that the 17 round high capacity magazines fit the UC9? I personally don't have the $50 to buy one, but it's good to know.

  • very cool 9mm.I have the thunder 380cc & love it. how can you beat it for the money? I don't think anybody makes a better pistol for the cash.

  • good little gun

  • Good Video dude!! i havemy BTUC 9mm, this gun is one pistol that you can trust. i am a huge 1911 fan and got one as well, i enjoy both my pistols but weight and conceal carry gun i go for the bersa. the only thing that bothers me is the magazine, when you fill up all 13 ammos the magazine rattles. this is not the guns fault i just hope they can fix this or offer a replacement mag.

  • Nice review. I have a Thunder 380, and I love it. But ammo's a little pricey and hard to find. So I'm thinking about one of these. Do you know if it's better, worse, or about the same reliability as the Thunder 380?

  • I would have to say better reliability. The only reason I say that is my Thunder 380 jammed 1 time (only once) in about 500 rounds. I contribute that jam to the ammo I was using. My UC9 had NEVER jammed and I have run Wolf ammo through it which isn't the greatest. The both are great guns.

  • The Bersa Ultra Compact 9 falls under the catagory of "seems too good to be true". It's the real deal; solid as a brick, dead reliiable, awesome trigger, and affordable.

  • What is the size difference between the UC 9mm and the Thunder 380?

  • bersa is really really a great gun! I had fired it every weekend for the last two months and I have nothing to say but good things about this gun. best buy in the market!

  • UC9s (and all 9mm, .40S&W and .45acp Thunders) are vastly underrated. They're incredibly reliable and accurate. When coupled with the agreeable price, they prove to be among the best deals on the market today.

  • Argentine Federal and metropolitan police, Argentine military, Ecuadorean Air Force and Peruvian police carry these guns fulltime on duty. Here in argentina very well respected guns with lifetime warranty. on par with the best european brands in quality, design and features but lacks the "premium" finish you get when you pay two or three times its price.

  • Great vid,nice smooth shootin,I`ll be looking into a Bersa ;-)

  • After seeing this review and a couple of others, I went and bought this gun.. Haven't fired it yet, but I really like the size, and how easy it is to take apart.. Can't wait to go to the range. Thanks!!

  • You will like it. My first Bersa was the .380 and then the 9mm. I have quickly become a huge Bersa fan. I would put them up against any other gun I own or have shot.

  • Awseome video.

    Great gun.

  • Great video. High quality, to the point, lots of info.

  • hey how much does it cost brand new?

  • They can still be had for the $360 range at most places I have seen them.

  • Very nice, informative video!

TY for your time & effort!

The Bersa Thunder Pro 9 UC is a solid performer, easy to maintain/clean, concealable and great to shoot.

    I love mine :D

  • What is the most i would pay for this gun? I got a hi point and here it was 200 instead of the 150 price also will this gun last a long time as long as i take care of it?

  • I paid $305 for mine but that was a while back. They are going for the $340 range now. The gun will outlast the shooter if taken care of.

  • @jayandton Thanks

  • I own a bersa UC 9 mm and so far no problems very good gun

  • I love my bersa. had a problem with it not resetting hammer. Bersa fixed the prob and sent me an extra clip. 5 stars nice vid.

  • wow.. very easy fieldstrip.

  • I also own a Bersa and it is very reliable and extremely accurate. I've shot lots of pistols and have never see a more accurate semiauto at any price.

  • Big muzzle flash there.

  • It's good that someone made a review on this wonderful pistol. Makes me want to get this in the future as my second pistol. Thanks jayandton.
