Oh I don't care what others say about this show. Fuck comic book continuity. I thought Birds of Prey was pretty good and it had good potential. I also thought Dina Meyer was the perfect actress ever to portray Batgirl and a hell better than Alicia Silverstone from Batman and Robin (the one with George Clooney).
@TheStarTreker I've never seen this show but it only had a few episodes so I'll watch it. But from what I understand it's like Smallville. In Smallville the amount of times romance came up without as much as some heat vision, was absolutely ridicules. This though, this part is awesome.

Was it too much to ask that Mark finally get to play a full-bodied interpretation of The Clown Prince of Crime himself? He did the damn role for about two decades. We heard him play the Joker, but we never got to actually SEE him do it. What, people would see Mark and think "Luke Skywalker" like the rest of the world... even though he'd be buried under layers of make-up? Come on... I think Mr. Hamill deserved better.
Don't you? The guy they got to be on-camera DOES look good. But still...
@DaneYoussef Umm, he prefers to be a voice actor. He doesn't like acting on camera. Have you SEEN him talk about his body? He thinks he's fat and old! Just be glad we got to hear him do the Joker voice at all!

My gosh, whoever came up with the idea of using Mark Hamill as a voice dub was a bloody genius! He's always been the best Joker of any media (including lvie action)! :D

@TheSpeciesUK DC Online mate , as long that goes of brilliantly and with expansions , which the latter is almost garanteed . He'll keep it up , remember reading somewhere that he decided to work with it because it meant his character would actively have PC's working with him , instead of against .
On another note , we could get a sound alike . Disny's done it for years, and lets be honest . Brave and The Bold , The Batman , probably Gotham High if the lights hadn't clicked , have had horribl
@Bag2218 That's what he said about Arkham Asylum. So you never know if he could come back to that role. If he doesnt, the only person that can replace him (in my opinion) is Kevin Michael Richardson (because he played Joker in The Batman)
@TheJokerVlogsSeries I wouldnt say awful cuz honestly he did the part justice. Now no one will EVER be as good as Mark but he still did it better than most. Unless they turn to some youtube dude to do his voice
@TheJokerVlogsSeries It just ended, it wasnt canceled. And it was targeted at those who just got into Batman because they didnt yet know about Batman TAS.
@NeiyonSpyder Thats what I meant canceled ended whatever...Kevins Joker voice is probley the worst Joker design perioud..His feet were huge his eyes were red and his hair was just like a spider the voice sounded like a fucked up version of a black man
@TheJokerVlogsSeries Kevin's a black man tho, and a fat black man at that. That's why he sounds like that. And yeah, his design made him look like he was actually insane but that was the point
@Bag2218 WHAT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! The new Batman already sucks because of the stories have been dumbed down for kids, the backstories of the villians are getting sloppier and we've already lost Heath,
BUT now we have to suffer the lost of the true Clown Prince of Crime!? That man MADE the Joker! He wasn't bound by his body and he emboded the true spirit of the Joker!
@Goddessdaughter I agree I'm one of the few people who wasn't all that impressed with the chris nolan Batman films I kinda think they are overrated with the excepiton of the performance of heath ledger.....He made more of a crime drama than a super hero movie....but no one will listen to me
@superbro1938 Crime Drama!!!! That's the description I was looking for. I love Heath's performance but with the psychotic angle it did come across a little less superhero you are correct in that one. Actually did you know after that movie came out a man in the states dressed up like the Joker entered a bank and shot someone?
@Bag2218 He said the same thing for Arkham Asylum. I think that Sefton Hill and the folks at Rocksteady just want to keep it a surprise when and if he returns for a third installment.

They just want to invoke the most enthusiastic reaction as possible from fans who play the game for the first time.

@Bag2218 -Actually, Game Rant verified (along with Hamill himself on his twitter account) that it was a rumor someone started about him retiring after Arkham City. He says he's not.
@3087208 Seven words and a maniacal laugh via phone patch really took alot of time out of his day. Hell, he could've been on the shitter in the length of time it took to record those lines.
I didn't know that Mark did that spot for the Joker back story on Barbara Gordon. BOP didn't really pan out like I they probably thought it would. It was really bad!! Oh well.
@logandh2 It's the Birds of Prey, it's a t.v. show. It wasn't exactly a hit since it had to compete with Smallville and other shows like it. It's really pretty good. I own the series and wish that it had lasted longer.
@darksailorjupiter it did hev an ending though right? like it wasnt cancelled, cut off in the middle of a season or anything, cuz im gonna start watching it if it wasnt. does it revolve soley around batman, are there sny other dc heros in it, not just cameos?
@logandh2 An Ending, yes...not a whole lot satsifying, I thought. It wasn't cancelled just wasn't getting the hits they wanted...Actually it revolves around Batgirl, and Batman's daughter...and a guest. It is Gotham city. So there not a lot of other superheros...It also has Harleen Quinzel. :D I don't remember seeing any cameos of other superheros...maybe the Black Canary but thats for a different reason, she's suppose to be there. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. :D
hamill is the best animated joker ever. too bad he can never pass as a live action joker. to me that point goes to ledger. apologys to all nickolson fans out there. he's just not my idea of joker
It seemed a little weird he said "Knock, knock" after he let himself in and shot her. I'd have thought he'd have thought of a better line. But anyway I love Mark Hamill's Joker voice so much. It's depressing that he said he's retiring voicing The Joker after the sequel to the Arkham Asylum game. No one has ever done the voice as good and maybe never will.
@AlexKKKeller Pretty much, if you have a problem with that, then get over it.... it's an opinion buddy, there is no fact that Mark Hamill is the greatest Joker, there is no fact that Ledger is the greatest Joker.... again.... it's all an opinion.
@AlexKKKeller Have you seen the animated series? Give it a shot, I'm sure if you do you'll see why so many people praise Mark Hamill. If you just go by this clip it doesn't do his Joker persona justice cause he has better dialogue in the animated series.
@AlexKKKeller ledger was good. but he looked like a henchman compared to Hamill's expert rendition. ledger did a good joker. Mark Hamill IS the joker.
honestly (and i hate to bitch and moan like a butt-hurt fan), why can't they just do this for the next batman movie. Yes, Heath was good, but so was Connery's James Bond, and he was replaced with several other actors. It would get two thumbs up from the dedicated fans (who acctually read the comics and watch the show, as oposed to saying in the theatre during the new superman, "This isn't how it's supposed to be cuz on smallville...") and people would still go see it even if some might bitch
well, that idea had it's flaws with the Bond series but in that case, there could still be a fan theory that 'James Bond' is just a code name passed on to different spies, explaining the different personalities and appearances.
with the Joker.... it doesn't really work as well.
@jjjameson88 there have been 22 Bond films, stretching over decades, and The Dark Knight just came out 2 years ago. I think it would be cool to see it to, but I think Nolan just wants to leave the Joker character as it is, as Heath Ledger.
@jjjameson88 I agree. Dark Knight was great, as was Ledger's version, but Hamill would be so awesome as the joker in live action. Nicholson, Ledger and Romero were all great jokers for their style, but as you said, Connery wasn't the only Bond (and not the only GREAT bond either. I loved Timothy Dalton's bond... I'd say he had even more natural Bond charm than Connery). I'd love to see a live action Batman film with Mark Hamill
@jjjameson88 Joseph Gordon-Levitt looks enough like him and is a good enough actor to pull it off too. Not sure the people on the cast & crew would feel comfortable though; remember that it would just constantly remind them of the friend they lost :(
@SweetZombiJesus Honestly i really did think that also about joseph! the similarties are amazing but like you said it would be a constant reminder.. Actually he did such a good job in inception he does have a part in the new dark knight movie, but hes gonna play a mobster son.
@Varomarquez20 Oh, I thought he was playing a cop. Either way, he will do a great job as usual. I'm still worried about too many new characters being introduced, though.
@jjjameson88 I love you for saying the line of "oposed to saying in the theatre during the new superman, "This isn't how it's supposed to be cuz on smallville..." SO TRUE. Like so true.
I love virtually all versions of the Joker. And while I will downright state that Ledger gave us the best of the best, Hamill will remain the definative Clown Prince of Crime in my eyes.
@tallblondnloud There's something about Hamill's tonal quality that reminds me so much of Cesar Romero's Joker. But the character, as played in the animated series, still harkens back to Jack Nicholson's Joker.

@3087208 Seven words and a maniacal laugh via phone patch really took alot of time out of his day. Hell, he could've been on the shitter in the length of time it took to record those lines.

I loved how they used Mark Hamill's voice to dub that scene. He's the best Joker hands down.

@ibookflippa1 Okay...but what does that have to do with Mark Hamill voicing The Joker?
GenericAuthenticity 1 year ago
A show set in Gotham City with no Batman. Even on paper it doesn't work.

Mark Hamill is a legend. I wish he could do more Joker.
SlashManEXE 1 year ago
I didn't know that Mark did that spot for the Joker back story on Barbara Gordon. BOP didn't really pan out like I they probably thought it would. It was really bad!! Oh well.

sswgaming 1 year ago
ummm, what movie/tv show was this? why am i just now hearing about it?>:(
logandh2 1 year ago
@logandh2 It's the Birds of Prey, it's a t.v. show. It wasn't exactly a hit since it had to compete with Smallville and other shows like it. It's really pretty good. I own the series and wish that it had lasted longer.
darksailorjupiter 1 year ago
@darksailorjupiter it did hev an ending though right? like it wasnt cancelled, cut off in the middle of a season or anything, cuz im gonna start watching it if it wasnt. does it revolve soley around batman, are there sny other dc heros in it, not just cameos?
logandh2 1 year ago
@logandh2 An Ending, yes...not a whole lot satsifying, I thought. It wasn't cancelled just wasn't getting the hits they wanted...Actually it revolves around Batgirl, and Batman's daughter...and a guest. It is Gotham city. So there not a lot of other superheros...It also has Harleen Quinzel. :D I don't remember seeing any cameos of other superheros...maybe the Black Canary but thats for a different reason, she's suppose to be there. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. :D

i wonder why mark hamill wasnt in any batman movie as the joker :(
lolcompany4u 1 year ago 2
hamill is the best animated joker ever. too bad he can never pass as a live action joker. to me that point goes to ledger. apologys to all nickolson fans out there. he's just not my idea of joker

@Arthus850 I agree with you

Actually, it's not hamill in the flesh--just someone in costume who they dubbed his voice over for. n.n;

Joker btas is good. Lots of fun. But joker batman beyond. He is seriously scarier yet still funny. Mark hamil is just too awesome
skyhime 1 year ago
It seemed a little weird he said "Knock, knock" after he let himself in and shot her. I'd have thought he'd have thought of a better line. But anyway I love Mark Hamill's Joker voice so much. It's depressing that he said he's retiring voicing The Joker after the sequel to the Arkham Asylum game. No one has ever done the voice as good and maybe never will.

Joker here looks like he's from a bad 1980s music video. You can never beat that Hamill voice, though.

The Joker here kind of looks like Seattle Seahawks headcoach Pete Carroll.....don't know why I thought of that

AlexKKKeller 1 year ago
@AlexKKKeller Pretty much, if you have a problem with that, then get over it.... it's an opinion buddy, there is no fact that Mark Hamill is the greatest Joker, there is no fact that Ledger is the greatest Joker.... again.... it's all an opinion.

@filmmaker456: No trust me, it's a fact that Heath is the greatest Joker yet.

@AlexKKKeller Have you seen the animated series? Give it a shot, I'm sure if you do you'll see why so many people praise Mark Hamill. If you just go by this clip it doesn't do his Joker persona justice cause he has better dialogue in the animated series.
Nightman221k 1 year ago
@AlexKKKeller ledger was good. but he looked like a henchman compared to Hamill's expert rendition. ledger did a good joker. Mark Hamill IS the joker.
darkerdreams67 1 year ago
honestly (and i hate to bitch and moan like a butt-hurt fan), why can't they just do this for the next batman movie. Yes, Heath was good, but so was Connery's James Bond, and he was replaced with several other actors. It would get two thumbs up from the dedicated fans (who acctually read the comics and watch the show, as oposed to saying in the theatre during the new superman, "This isn't how it's supposed to be cuz on smallville...") and people would still go see it even if some might bitch
jjjameson88 1 year ago 67
@jjjameson88
well, that idea had it's flaws with the Bond series but in that case, there could still be a fan theory that 'James Bond' is just a code name passed on to different spies, explaining the different personalities and appearances.
with the Joker.... it doesn't really work as well.
Cubekou 1 year ago
@jjjameson88 there have been 22 Bond films, stretching over decades, and The Dark Knight just came out 2 years ago. I think it would be cool to see it to, but I think Nolan just wants to leave the Joker character as it is, as Heath Ledger.
Joker3797 1 year ago
@jjjameson88 I agree. Dark Knight was great, as was Ledger's version, but Hamill would be so awesome as the joker in live action. Nicholson, Ledger and Romero were all great jokers for their style, but as you said, Connery wasn't the only Bond (and not the only GREAT bond either. I loved Timothy Dalton's bond... I'd say he had even more natural Bond charm than Connery). I'd love to see a live action Batman film with Mark Hamill

@jjjameson88 I dont know the comics and the original stuff is good , but somtimes we it needs to be changed up a bit
Camthemovieman1 9 months ago
@jjjameson88 Joseph Gordon-Levitt looks enough like him and is a good enough actor to pull it off too. Not sure the people on the cast & crew would feel comfortable though; remember that it would just constantly remind them of the friend they lost :(
SweetZombiJesus 8 months ago
@SweetZombiJesus Honestly i really did think that also about joseph! the similarties are amazing but like you said it would be a constant reminder.. Actually he did such a good job in inception he does have a part in the new dark knight movie, but hes gonna play a mobster son.
Varomarquez20 8 months ago
@Varomarquez20 Oh, I thought he was playing a cop. Either way, he will do a great job as usual. I'm still worried about too many new characters being introduced, though.

I love virtually all versions of the Joker. And while I will downright state that Ledger gave us the best of the best, Hamill will remain the definative Clown Prince of Crime in my eyes.

Hmm... They should do an awesome live action series of
Batman that's just like the comics.

Mark's got the voice, Jack had the swagger, and Heath and the look/mentality. That's how I view it.

its fine. it was 40 years ago after all. the only reason i know of Ceaser is i watched the movie from the 60's on tv recentley
tallblondnloud 1 year ago
@tallblondnloud There's something about Hamill's tonal quality that reminds me so much of Cesar Romero's Joker. But the character, as played in the animated series, still harkens back to Jack Nicholson's Joker.
Great amalgamation!
