@nashanator1998 That is SO true. Example: Zombieland. That was absolute rubbish. I can only imagine how badly they'd ruin this film :P The US just isn't gd at comedy. They're more better at action type films if anything... well they wud be if they'd stop doin remakes and actually make something new and original.

The way i see it, its all a matter of POV.

Example: I cud say Harry Potter is the best film ever, but tha doesn't make it so, just as u sayin Zombieland was 1 of the best ever, doesn't make it so. Lord of the Rings - best movie ever? Just by sayin it doesn't make it so, so we're goin to have to agree first of all tha our Personal POVs r differ.

@27Kruemelmonster 2nd comment: The humour is deffo differ. Howeva, i can only see people taken offence to my POV of the humour of the US.

Anyway, the impression i've gotten from most comedy movies/tv shows projected to the UK from the US is tha the humour is 'dumbed down' or just lacks the 'intelligence' tha u usually find in stuff from the UK. Even when they've bought an redone our shows they neva r as gd. I'm sorry, but that's just MY POV from MY experience with material from the UK an US.

@PTD01 Though Zombieland became tedious in the 2nd half of the film (like SotD) it is still a much better film mostly bc of the original ideas (rules, arcade-like presentation, Bill Murray)

It's not that much a question of British vs. American humour, but rather of pacing & quality of the jokes in general.

SotD is way too tame, uncreative and predictable to be even categorised as dark British humour.

It's a nun's humour compared to the Pythons, Matt Berry's stuff or League of Gentlemen.

@Xul I can see ur point an i agree with u 2 an extent, especially with the fact tha both films did become tedious an MP etc are better an less 'nun-like'. Howeva, i also feel tha some of the ideas put forth in ZLand, tho original, were weak an not very funny. Altho, some parts were genuinely gd. I suppose i just get bored when watchin it, as u said, the 2nd half isn't very gd. SotD is tedious, but as a fan of the actors i suppose its easier 2 watch it all. Tho i do prefer Hot Fuzz 2 this 1.

@SaintsBro217 See now, i like Paul, but not as much as Hot Fuzz. Hot Fuzz i can watch any-time, any-place, but Paul isn't something i'd watch very often. I think its cuz i'm not a fan of most of the tv shows that were joked about - inside jokes on star wars/trek etc. I guess its cuz of my lack of science fiction knowledge (i av seen a few tv shows of sci-fi, but neva properly got into them - neva even the movie ET), where as i can watch Hot Fuzz easier cuz i av a betta understandin of the jokes.
