Hi Heather! I have just recently turned to vegetarianism and I was looking for recipe ideas when I came across your website. I love the idea of this potato burger and I will try it out. I have never tried Kale before and will just ordinary salt break it down like the sea salt does? Many thanks for the video!
This came out amazing. I'm a vegetarian so I was able to put some smoked shredded cheddar cheese on top and let it heat a little longer. When I was done I placed a tomato slice on it and wrapped it into a tortilla like a pocket. Thanks so much for making vegan & vegetarian eating fun and easy. =]
I made these burgers the other night, and my husband and I loved them. I would say though, that we would prefer to use less Cayenne Pepper, as our mouths were burning. It's probably just a personal preference though!
@Sternschnuppen85 No, you don't have to use sea salt with kale, it's just my preference. Plain salt will work, but I prefer sea salt since it's less refined and has natural minerals. This would keep for 2-3 days in the fridge, but the longer it sits the more the nutrients will disappear. Make sure it's as air-tight as possible. Thanks for watching, hope you have fun with it! :)
You can absolutely use whatever type of green you like! Lettuce wouldn't stand up to the heat, but other than that get creative! Thanks, Phil & I really enjoyed it - I hope you do too!
Thanks for the tip... i've been vegan since 4 months. I need all the input i can get
looks yummy /regards from stockholm

if you can't get organic potatoes is it better to leave skins on? or peel them off>

@liviecwh probably peel them - the pesticides grow into the plant, but are probably in higher concentration in the skin

These were really good, but I think next time I will use spinach. The kale was too coarse.

Do you have to use sea salt with the Kale, or can you use plain salt? Also, how long will this mixture keep in fridge? Thanks for the post! :)
