  • Btw.. off the back wall pass isn't just great for singles. I do that pass often in doubles and in order for the goalie to trap with his 2 bar, he would need to bail completely out of goal in most cases. I'd say 98% of the time when I perform that pass in doubles the goalie never touches it. People also don't expect it, so it's become a normal pass in my series. Even though players know I do it, it's still extremely tough to trap when performed quickly.

  • This is a great tutorial by Zeke. For all foosers trying learn this pass, the starting position of the ball is very important to this style of pass. Also, there are many other options, when doing this pass. Such as varying your speed, chipping up to the middle, chipping to the wall, brushing to the wall, etc...your imagination is your only limit. But, as for me, I am a firm believer that you also need to know the brush series and tic-tac series.

  • @fifafoos123 When I do the lane stick pass, when I hit the ball forward, it comes off the table and deadens on the receiving man. If it doesn't, then you must practice catching the rebound off the receiving man. Catching the rebound requires a lot of practice, but it can be done. I do it and have seen many others do it who use this pass.

  • i dont underrstand how the ball slowed down after u passed it so hardly... im just an amatuer, but i understand the concept where u tilt the receiver a little to slow the ball down. problem is , i do not know why, even when i passed it at a moderate speed, it always runs off the receiver's foot after bouncing too hardly and gives it to the opponent

  • @TommyEinstein I am not Zeke, but when I pass the ball using the lane stick pass, when I hit the ball, it comes off the table going forward and sticks under the catching man. Of course this is on the tornado table.

  • I like the sound of the table... on german P4P-tables they have now very soft balls... very sticky and no sound at all. btw: you missed one pass... the one there the ball is pushed against the wall and been passed on the way back from it.

  • ohh thank you soo much dude. i was looking for this tutorial. 5 stars.. make a video of plentyshots,

  • Best Tutorial Ever !

  • @zekefooser i was woundering if the ball you are using is a "special" model or something.. It doesnt look like its made of plastic, like the ones i usually use.. Great Tutorial by the way :)

  • @FupNinetyFour The model of the table is a Tornado T-3000. The ball I'm using is a Tornado ball, which is specifically made for that table. It's not like one of those balls that comes with cheapy foosball tables that are plastic and lopsided. The tornado ball can make a cheapy table play much better because it will allow for more control. Buy one on the net, they are about $3.

  • @zekefooser how much does the table cost?

  • @RockingBeast13 This particular table is about $1400. There are other models that are less expensive. Fireball is another good table.

  • How about a mini-slingshot pass?

  • @UserIDofDoom good option, just practice it, especially the catch

  • Nice tutorial mate! :D just wondering... does this take years and years of practise? or can u get the hang of it in a couple of months? :) thanks great vid mate!

  • @Cod123Lord I think in order to master any passing series (or shot), it's going to take a couple years of good practice, and tournament play. It also depends on the player's skill level. A beginner will take a few years to learn the mechanics. But it will take longer to develop speed and power. Once the mechanics are learned, the next challenge is learning to read an opponent's defense. That will take even longer.

  • Very nice vid =) Thx a lot!

  • Hi Zeke! Have you ever thought about the pros and cons about setting the ball in front position (the 5 bar guys are in an obtuse angle behind the ball) like Billy does it while setting up for his stationary stick passing series? Is it easier to explode the stationary pass from that front position? Dave Gummeson is setting it up close to back pin position (acute angle), I think you have more options if you do so, it easier to brush etc.. Do know why is Billy preferring this front setupA? Thanks!

  • thanks for the vid man.

  • nice video! really helpful

  • If anybody wants to see this passing style in action, you can obviously just type in Billy Pappas into the search box. You can also type in 2004 Semi Pro world championship finals (i'm doing this series as the forward on the left side of the table, (striped shirt))

  • Hey Zeke, what's happenin' man? This is Dillon Anderson.

As a proficient passer of this style, I think this is a pretty good tutorial. Good to see someone doing decent foos videos on here.

    Good work Bro.

  • nice vid, man

5-6 years ago we had a foosball scene going around in the city, but it seems to be dying. And my favorite lounge closed down :( I have many fond memories of Friday night foosball with friends. I'm gonna keep playing!

  • good tutorial

  • am i wrong in thinking that the tic tac 2nd lane pass @ 4:00 is a "bad" pass, because it goes through "no mans land"? i pass mine a little higher to where its just before the black 53 man.

    great tutorial zeke TY

  • I wouldnt say it's a bad pass. I think when you do that option, you have a good feel for the opponent jumping to the wall. You can vary the distance where you catch it on the middle man, but it makes it easier if you dont have to move the 3 bar. Also, a good defender will usually not be in "no man's land", they may actually be way too far out trying to cover a lane pass, in which this case this may actually go inside of the 2nd guy. Against a bad defender just use primary passes.

  • @philmacroch

The pass to the middle guy is great. A lot of times during a 5 row series that will open up. I've found it effective, once someone starts reading your 5 row series set up, if there's any tic-tac involved in the set-up the middle 3 man is open. People adapt but its a good pass. I do it with out the extra tic-tac...2nd guy starting with the ball, do fast pass(looks wall) and let it bounce back to 2nd guy off 1st. If done fast enough they tend to be on the wall n mid 3man is open

  • Amazing and helpful tutorial zeke! With this video of yours, and a lil practice, this passing series has helped me clinch my first and second competitive trophy. Keep the videos coming!

  • Amazing passes, thanks for sharing!
