I ever saw as a kid and it was a fantastic first movie! The theater was packed! Kids, teenagers and some grownups were everywhere! I
collected Star Wars toys until I was 25. Until Mom told me she couldn't stand it anymore. Now my toys are up in the attic, but I'll never forget the excitement the movie brought at the State Theater that night.
Thanks Tom!! I remember watching the film at the Drive-In in 77, my dad was too cheap to pay for a "walk in", LOL!! Man, I can almost bet if we were kids together back in the 70's, we would of had alot of fun playing and talking Star Wars vintage (well back than it was current;)..
have fun playing with those cool Star Wars toys back then in the 70's.Only I didn't just collect Star Wars. I also collected Shogun Warriors, Buck Rogers, Micronuats(remember those?) and my fav of all favs Mego Dolls.
Hi forest I literally stumbled upon this, I havent started collecting vintageyet, but I do collect the newer items mostly OT and EU but I am a member of jedi defender, potf2, ffurg and yodasnews under the name of desfiy.
I am actually finding this very informative, and I agree with that the ebay has better prices for vintage than the other markets normally unless your using one of the trading sites as listed above, as usually they are putting prices down realistically as well.
Yep, I have some Star Wars collectibles too, I also cvollect all of the "Homies" from the 50 cent machines at the grocery store, I will put a video of them later this week. Like to see more of your collectibles. Ever watch Antique Road Show? ~"AngeLoner"~
I know, way back to this summer, LOL!! It's funny, my lady says I look younger here than now?? I don't think I changed that much, yet stress does make you look older!!
My friend, please have a wonderful Holiday Season!! I'm going to be sending you something for Christmas..Let me know if you moved yet??
I'm not into Star wars, e-bay and all that so I really haven't anything to say or ask about in that realation. But, for those who has, that's a good idea...
Now I guess I`ll be marked as spam or something... But I have a confession to make... I`m 31 years old, and I`ve never seen Star Wars.... Should I...?
No, there are some people who have not seen the films! Watch the first one i.e. 1977's Star Wars..If you enjoy it, than move on to Empire..Sometimes these films are not for everyone, so don't worry my friend;-)
hmm, a good question about collectibles that i've had...I'll have to think on that one, I love Star Wars and its not to say that I don't have plenty of star wars merchandise, but I'm not much of a collector on a large scale. I'm sure I can come up with some good questions for ya though forest!
Thanx for the info...But I'm not into Star Wars. HOWEVER -If you know where I can find a "furry" version of Chubaca, I might be interested. I LOVE Chubaca! He reminds me of someone I loved once. (Don't ask...lol!)
Hey Forrest , guess what? The idea of *Space Talks* is pretty good and I could hear you explaining and talking 24/7 lol :)Have a great weekend and take care as well :)Kisses to Val :)
Hmm, If i drop a Luke skywalker action figure from a 4 story building will it bounce or bust, oh, and if he would bounce, would he bounce higher than Darth Vader? LOL. Well, take it easy, Man.
LOL!! That is a classic one!! Well let's see, I think the new ones (action figures) are stronger than the cars we drive. Furthermore, Vader would use the dark side of the force to keep Luke from bouncing higher..HAHAHAHAHAA
Right on ....where are the ...telephone pole anchor cables high tension "pole guide anchor cables" ...that Lucas/Spielberg originally recorded, they would hit the cables with a....?....and recorded the sound... for the "blaster" sounds?....in the original movie...
YES.... another Star Wars geek..... I f-ing love Star Wars. I'm not a big collector... . but thats because I can't afford another collecting habit. Especially Star Wars stuff. It gets pricey.
very informative man, and you're very well spoken.
Man I did the same back in the late 80's. The funny thing about that flashlight saber (orange with black), it's not from Star Wars!! I still have mine today, I think my mom got it from Gemco..
Hi Forest. I have a crazy question. lol Am I the only one who feels this way? I think Chewbacca looks alot like John Travolta. I just had to get it out in the air. hahaha. I know it's not him, and I know the guy who play Chewbacca doesn't look like John, but when the costume is on, I see John Travolta. i can't help but laugh. What do you say? ;)
I almost knew for sure you would agree. The gym teacher? Chews brother? lol I bet he did look like him. : D Thanks so much. If I have some more questions I'll let you know. thanks.
the force lightsabers, the plastic red and yellow ones ($45-100) also the ROTJ plastic sabers, colors red and green ($35-90) and lastly, the Droids dager saber rans between $75.00 up to over $200. The latter prices is when it's in top condition..
don't you find it tiring as a collector that every year they put out the same exact figure but on a different card, and you have to get it because you want the complete set. for example: last years saga collection, and this years saga legends. it is very annoying for me because i find it a wast of time and money. but yet i have to get it.
Heres a Question: How do you know if you have an authentic bobba fett rocket firing prototype and not a fake, and why are there so many prototypes around....I mean, isnt it a prototype?
Well, I just think that space is super gay
