You have a classic Mac up there on your shelf. SWEET. I still have the one I had in the mid-80's. That thing was my first computer. I also played text games on my dad's Commodore 64, lol.
what kind of monitor is that black one. it's a dell right? where would i be able to find one similar? i'm a graphic artist and i'm looking in to getting a new computer, but i'm worried the wide screen of most monitors is going to cause issues with my wacom tablet. the black monitor you're using seems pretty...square
@AnnyongAseo The monitor is a Dell. The wacom tablet works fine with a widescreen monitor, it has setting to adjust it. Yeah, the monitor is square, it is in the 4:3 aspect ratio. I don't have it anymore, so I can't give you the model but I would check ebay or craiglist if you wanted to find a used one.
@tourbeu24 - the keyboard works fine with Windows default drivers. The Logitech drivers are basically for enabling the secondary function keys and couple other minor bells and whistles.
good review :). I'm also thinking about the mx revolution / illuminated keyboard combo. the only thing that i dont like about the keyboard is the cable. i'd like it to be wireless but i guess that because of the lights it needs some extra power.
Yes yes yes...oh my GOD!!! this keyboard is the best keyboard i have ever bought in my entire life. I just can't stop typing. It is so smooth so stylish so sleek. Thank you logitech for such a good product.
How about when you do a review, you start the review when you have it out of the box and plugged in, showing us what it looks like and what it does. The rest is hogwash.
I have the Apple keyboards (wired, wireless, wired + num. pad) but was wondering how the Logitech actually compares. i.e. just as comfortable? Noisy/quiet? etc.
Oh, it stands for first person shooters. I am thinking of getting this keyboard thats why i wanted to know how well it performs in gaming. But nevermind though, someone else has answered that question for me.
My new Microsoft Wirless Laser Desktop V. 3 keyboard has the transparent bevel around the edge as well. It was designed to mimic the Vista Aero interface with it's transparent window borders etc. It looks very sharp!
Why would you think that you didn't need to install the software? Make sure you do the web updates. I thought about getting that keyboard, so I hope it works good for you. I just bought a Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop Version 3. I don't use the included wireless mouse because I have my Natural Wireless Laser 6000 mouse already. The keyboard is awesome and replaces my beloved MS Natural Ergo 4000 split keyboard.
You are unboxed it very carefully he?....not

I dont like logitech for non standard button place. (Sorry, english is not my mother-language). :P
I have sidewinder x6, but this kayboard has too long space and right alt is in non standard place - for non english users that is little frustrating.

Dude, you mentioned you also have the Apple wired keyboard. Which of the two do you prefer?

I got mine way before they released the new one but I prefer the one w/out the number pad

The logitech takes a little getting used to but when you do it is great! It is louder but not that bad.
thedekester18 3 years ago
Yeah I bought mine at Best Buy as well since its cheaper than newegg.
The MX Revolution is a terrible terrible mouse. The battery life is atrocious and the signal is horrid if you keep your machine is under your desk.
I have the MX 1000 and the revolution, and I'd rather use the 1000 over the revolution any day.
hobolooter 3 years ago
Really? I love the MX Revolution. I do admit the signal can be a little bad but the battery lasts about 20 days of very heavy usage.
thedekester18 3 years ago
heh give the mx 1000 a try and be the judge

How does this keyboard perform for FPS games as compared to proper gaming keyboards?
CrowNest 3 years ago
Sorry but I am not a huge gamer and I am not sure what FPS means.
thedekester18 3 years ago
Oh, it stands for first person shooters. I am thinking of getting this keyboard thats why i wanted to know how well it performs in gaming. But nevermind though, someone else has answered that question for me.

how long is the cable on this thing? is it as long as the G15 cord? if so im getting one
bryman31 3 years ago
Yes it is about the same length. But if it is too short you can buy a USB extender cable, they don't cost much.
thedekester18 3 years ago
do you buy everything from bestbuy cause thats like the most expencive place to buy pc stuff
iceblitz 3 years ago
Bestbuy is the only place around here to get stuff like this. I like going into a store and buying it, not ordering online.
thedekester18 3 years ago
thatd be funny if it said designed by ligitech in california(or wherever it was designed)

good idea going for that i looked at most of your vids you bought basically gaming mouse and keyboard you dont look like a gamer
iceblitz 3 years ago
I liked the feel of the mouse and I liked the screen on the keyboard but I wanted a wireless mouse and the keyboard was way too buggy!
thedekester18 3 years ago
The only thing that I'm bummed out about is that Microsoft doesn't have a keyboard with back lighting that I like. I really wanted that.
