  • yes, you were conceived violently

  • Absolutely better than original

  • Awesome Replica!

  • No such Replica!

  • This is one unforgettable riff!

  • Replica, Epica. Epica, Replica.

  • Wow they broke the true power of this song. nps with epica further, just stick to what you're good at.

  • Badass.

  • I disliked the Fear Factory version, personally. This, however, is fantastic. I absolutely love when Simone and Mark are singing/grunt-scream-type-thing-ing in unison.

  • @xTYCHOx you disliked the Fear Factory version? LMFAO....GTFO.

  • @BehindTheLight99 Consider me TFO. Don't you just love how accepting people are of others' clearly personal and unimposing opinions?

  • @xTYCHOx not liking Fear Factory is a sin....sorry.

  • @njcandoit Fear Factory didn't did a "version" of this song dumbass its the original.

  • RepLica!!!

  • well, being a big fan of Fear Factory, i can say that this wasnt that bad. pretty nice actually. it does kinda sound like they tried too hard to give an Industrial feeling to it, but the chorus part is godly.

and i didnt even know that Fear Factory was an influence to them. THAT is fucking awesome.

  • Just one word: Wow!

  • I just gotta say as both a fear factory and epica fan that if a band decides to cover a song, doesn't that mean that it somehow inspired them? Like it hate it, I think they did a great job at covering this, and before you all pass judgment on me, fear factory is my all time favorite band

  • Much better than fear factory's version

  • I'm not a big fan of the woman vocals here, but the death growls make up for it 100%.

  • Don't like this, but then I hate Fear Factory. Love Epica's other stuff though, It's ridiculous people are talking trash about them when they've never even heard their music. Seriously, anyone who knows shit about metal has heard of Epica. They're a very respected and well known band in the genre.

  • @DrCornwallis100 sorry but epica are not all that famous, gothic metal never was until a certain american band went and buggered the genre about. you mention the 2 bands to people and more will know fear factory. I do however agree with you about not liking it and im a fear factory fan. I dont know but it sounds less than its worth, i dont know how else how to put that. She does not have any feeling involved with the vocals and you can tell.

  • @anathemapariah Its Symphonic metal. "Gothic metal" is just people who dont realy know what there talking about. Then everyone has to respect that. Even though in this piece there are no symphonic elements to it.

"She does not have any feeling involved with the vocals and you can tell." Simones Style of singing is alot harder than fear factories. She is showing emotion, you just haven't been around the classical scene for very long therefore you don't recognise it.

  • @karilxbow i love how people assume that just because i dont like certain bands i dont like mussorgsky, orff or stokowski (or be able to play them) just because i dont like bands they do. Your own analysis of this song shows it cannot be symphonic so therefore my view of gothic metal is infact completely correct. And by the way you might want to even look up Epicas own website where they call themselves a 'Dutch gothic metal band'

  • @karilxbow There is no such thing as ''symphonic metal'' or any other gay-new-opera shit, it is just an excuse for untalented people to play same music in different tonality.I can watch porn and get more emotions then from this shit. Cover? This is no cover this ruin

  • @stipsa52

So everything is porn to you?

Emotions are not based on trash and filth. Heart and soul are above it along. I've already noticed that we ruin ouselves when we act on impulse, what porn is. Music is a means to touch your spirit its ART. so if you don't like her particular music then why not just say you don't like it instead of rambling on thats irrelevant?

Also, some of the veiwers might be kids, wether you care or not and obviously you don't.

  • @DrCornwallis100 I've known epica, I am just not a fan of em dude. I do however like female singers such as Arch Enemy (Favorite) And In This Moment, they're awesome.

  • an destrozado un temazo

  • WOW!! This is a great cover!! I think FF would be proud of this one!

  • @ametryn Uh.... How about Arch Enemy? I don't agree, but of course, I don't have to do I?

  • @ametryn Arch Enemy lead singer Angela Gossow can fucking sing dude, and she can fucking growl.

  • Why do people here complain that it doesn't sound exactly like Fear Factory? When a band covers a song, they aren't trying to make it so much like the original that no one can tell them apart (unless it's for technique practice), they try to capture the feeling created by the music... and yes, they lost alot of the Fear Factory "impacting rage" but they created their own chilling sound to match the concept of the song, which is the point...

  • @TommyDestroy I agree That's all true but this simply sounds pathetic...

  • I am a fear factory fan and this is the reason why everone tunes you out and listens to Eminem.

  • of course all the fear factory fans will say they hate it. simone has a beautiful voice, but i'm glad that all their songs don't sound like this because parts of it i didn't like... had nothing to do with epica, but the song itself

  • this is poop. the music is sick, i like the effects, but this singer can smell my butt

  • It's good man

  • everyone with his own opinion. I like the original version more. Here I can tell that Epica tried to explore some sound effects such as flanger and phaser to make it sound more "industrial"... but it doesnt sound right, they should stick to symphonic stuff, this is not their thing. The growls sure are better than FF but the recording effect they added to it made it sound very weird, sorry. my opinion

  • @hellsingmx well burton doesn't really growl, he just kinda yells. but i think it sounds better, this cover is horrible. they tried to make it more industrial, when they're not an industrial band. (they did a good cover of crystal mountain though)

  • en mi opinion, esta version kedó mucho mejor k la original, siento k la letra de la canción está más acorde con la voz de mujer, además se oye más claro cada instrumento y lo k dice la letra.

  • Very nice and awesome song.

  • Poor Cover Song, sorry I have to say that. The Female Voice is pretty good, but the growls are so unnecessary and that makes this Cover a bucket full of crap.

I saw Fear Factory live on Saturday and they played Replica live and that was f´n awesome...

  • I agree. If the instruments were better and the growls are gone it would have been an awesome cover in my opinion. The female vocals are awesome. They just put it on a different level. I dont mean better or worse but just different.

  • I just love it!

  • I love fear factory.......this cover is tight! the chick is spot on.

  • This isn't something I thought Epica would cover. It's not even really their style. I think it's a good song but...idk.

  • the original is one hell of a song! and THIS cover fucking kicks ass!

  • you gay are so stupid

    1. this was my comment to your fucking answer to "Fear Factory - Bite the hand that bleeds you"

    2. this answer doesn't suit to my comment

  • I'm a nazi and a racist? oh yes of cause you are so fucking stupid guy. How can I be a nazi or a racist if 50% of my friends come from another country? another point i'm a nazi or a racist is that i often go to activities against racism and nazis. you're poor, very poor... and where have i said that i'm a nazi you damn asshole? and now you hate me.. :'( oh my fucking god i'm going to kill myself^^

  • this is worst cover that i´ve ever heard....

the original is a great song but this is shit....

  • Best cover I've heard in a long time.

  • Wow! As a lifelong Fear Factory fan, I must say this is a really cool cover.

  • fuck thats the shit !!! good cover :)

  • Not bad, her voice actually fits this song

  • I love both Original and this

  • Better than the original.

  • no no no...........original kicks arse, this doesnt but still alright

  • It's a cover you cunt!!

  • Simone was only 10 years old when this first came out !

  • 1- produzione spartana

    2- perde mordente

    3- piatta

  • I like this

  • all i can say it gives me more of a boner than the original. not cus its better just cus shes got a sexy voice.

  • @ShaneMoFxxxinHuff Arch Enemy and in this moment got some good singers.

  • lol

  • è un vergogna sta cover.

  • perchè?

  • I'm big on a cover being done well, and also being able to allow the band doing the cover to expand and show its uniqueness within the parameters of the song. This was different, but nothing short of pleasant. Gets my thumbs up.

  • sounds like evanescence covering fear factory.. im not so sure about this...

  • not quite; whereas evanescence is a shit brownie covered in shit sauce, epica is a decent band.

  • i find it impossible to like any metal band with a female vocalists. it just ruins it for me. i agree about the evanescence comment. they do suck hard.

  • Not even nightwish?

I didnt like female singers either, that was until I heard Tarja..

  • Meh. Go listen to early Novembers Doom.

If youre going to the pure guttural intensity, you probably wont find it in operatic female vocals. But they do add a nice atmosphere and artistic embellishment.

And if you listen to a lot of Fear Factorys early, Burtons clean vocals are very elegant and beautiful. They still manage to convey intensity.

  • Just a little bit of distorsion...

  • Very cool cover. FF the best.

  • Whoe only the Dutch can do that good stuff xD

  • i like the vocal layers, something burt needs to do more, awesome cover.

  • lacks power... but dino has already approved it so....

  • Gotta say, this is a really good cover of FF's song. I like it

  • i know i already left a comment on this awsome fucking video/song but i just wanted to add when FF goes back on tour these 2 should tour together, like burton could do a duet witht the female vocalist from epica, like burt will give his demonic brutal vocals and the woman could give her heavenly angel touch to it lol it would be fucking beauitful ^^

  • oooo nice! i hope they do a nightwish cover...insert random NW song here...like wish i had an angel or ever dream.

  • not bad at all ... but i ´d still keep in mind the FF song instead ... Epica´s cover seemed a bit radio oriented ...

  • i agree

  • cheers, mate ... some people here got what i meant, but i think the majority is just the bunch of pseudo metallers that cannot react accordingly to a real and true comment about the song of their "favorite" band of choice ...

  • Fear Factory would be proud ^^

  • @BINOMAN007 They better be!

  • kicks so much fucking ass!!!! \m/

  • Well, doing a cover song is about taking another artist's song, and turning it into your own sound. That's exactly what Epica did. If they copied it exactly the way Fear Factory wrote it, that would be incredibly lame.

  • more like they added to it. i went to check out the original version & its good..but these guys ...er...scream...better...so to speak. lol please they have a feminine voice in it as well.

  • @leandro27942 There is an old saying; Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery

  • Much better than the original! Epica is the best.

  • are u mad? this is an example of how metal songs should not be remade, fear factory are legend!

  • I'm not mad. I have an own opinion. I like this better, than the original one. I know, Fear Factory legendary, but the Epica is one of my favourite bands.

  • Ummmm....I don't know about this being better than the original.....ummmm yea....wow
