i adore this scene. these two had fab chemistry together love them in some came running too. gosh frank is hot. too bad this music uses racist words to describe japanese at least they cut out cole porter's racist reference to chinese people in this version too bad they didnt cut out the japanese racist reference as well.
One of the best movies I went to see during the sixties. It was shown at Al Hussain Cinema in Amman , Jordan at that time. Great actors & great movie.
Vegas, not only is the word Japs in the original version, so is the word 'Chinks', its in the first line of the original song, I almost fell out of my chair when I heard it. Do a search for the Peggy Lee or Bing Crosby versions to hear it. Thankfully all versions since the 50s don't have it.
We are really lucky that the old films were shot with film of such a high resolution that they can be made to look like this nowadays. They couldn't get this good of a picture out of it in 1960, but we're very lucky that that film was used.
Did Frank really say "Japs"? Wow! ha ha. Funny how times have changed. You couldn't get that word into a movie today. Very politically incorrect. Fun tune though.
lol yes but she had a short affair with napoleon if i remember correctly. but she was married to the king. i wonder why noone ever called her queen. Sad really isn't it. she was so loyal its hard to understand
She NEVER had an affair with Napoleon idiot, first of all they NEVER met and even if their timelines were one and the same and even if they were they were in completely different classes. She may have had an affair with a swedish general.
Where can I watch this film?!

So sad that people can hear and see all of this brilliance and focus on ONE WORD in a lyric that was composed in 1928. Ridiculous.

It's very nice; one question; how to see this video in 16:9 ratio? With my PC it's compressed.

I just laughed so hard about the discussion about Marie Antoinette!
THAT is the part of the lyrics that isn't completely and utterly true and realistic?!
Sorry, just found it funny... ^_^
(And I have absolutely no idea who she might have had an affair with or not.)
